L-section survey — Nadiad, Kheda
L-Section GPR Survey in Nadiad
When your cable scope asks for more than marks on the road, an L-section adds a depth profile of every buried service we detect along the Nadiad route, priced at ₹32 per metre.

- STEP 1Cable route confirmed
- STEP 2Radar scan along alignment
- STEP 3Service depths recorded
- STEP 4Depth profile issued
An L-section GPR survey in Nadiad scans a planned cable route and adds a depth profile showing each detected pipe, duct and cable along it, so the designer can see what the new line must pass over or under. Mezux Touch charges ₹32 per metre, minimum 4 km, plus GST, with discounts above 100 km.

What is an L-section GPR survey in Nadiad?
A standard GPR route survey tells you where existing services lie and marks them on the ground. An L-section GPR survey in Nadiad goes one step further: along with the plan record, it gives a depth profile of the route, so every water main, drain, telecom duct and cable we detect is shown at its depth along the line your new cable will follow. The designer sees in one view where the cable can stay shallow, where it must dip below a service and where a crossing needs a bore.
We keep the product simple. The scan, the marks and the report are the same as in our HT/LT cable route survey in Nadiad; the L-section adds the profile. The general method is on our L-section GPR survey service page.
When is GPR profiling in Nadiad worth the extra ₹8 a metre?
Not every route needs a profile. It earns its cost when depth decisions drive the design:
- the cabling work order or tender clause asks the contractor to submit an L-section;
- the route passes through older parts of the town, where several services cross the alignment at different levels;
- the cable must cross the railway corridor, the expressway approaches or a canal, and the bore depth has to clear what lies beneath;
- the client wants a depth record of existing services on file before the new cable goes in.
On a quiet village link with few crossings, the standard survey is often enough. If you are unsure, send the route and the scope clause and we will say which one fits.
Does the field work change for an L-section?
A little. Because the profile has to show depth continuously along the route rather than only at marked points, the crew plans its radar lines to follow the alignment closely and records each service where it meets the cable path. That is why the L-section should be booked with the original order: adding it later usually means a second visit. Electromagnetic locating is still used on conductive cables, and stretches where radar could not reach are left blank on the profile and explained in the report rather than filled in by guesswork.
What does an L-section survey in Nadiad cost?
The rate is ₹32 per metre, so each kilometre costs ₹32,000 before GST. A few worked figures:
- 4 km, the smallest billable order: ₹1,28,000 – above the ₹1,00,000 project minimum that applies outside Delhi NCR.
- 25 km: ₹8,00,000.
- 150 km across several Kheda routes: the 25% slab brings every metre to ₹24, so ₹36,00,000.
Discounts rise to 40% past 500 km and 50% past 1,000 km, applied to the whole order. Travel and set-up from Faridabad (mobilisation), night shifts, traffic control or permissions, and CAD/GIS drawing sets are priced on separate lines. Details are on the GPR survey price list.
What does a cable route L-section drawing in Nadiad show?
It answers one practical question: at each point along the route, what is underground and how deep is it? Detected services appear at their measured depth, crossings with roads, the railway corridor and canals are identified, and sections where detection was limited are marked as such. The profile comes with the survey report. Full CAD or GIS drawing sets, where your project wants them, are priced separately. Our article on L-section drawings for DISCOM cable work in Gujarat explains how contractors use them.
Is it the same as a land survey for underground electrical cabling in Nadiad?
No. A land or topographic survey records surface features, boundaries and ground levels. A GPR L-section records what is below the surface. Many cabling projects need both: the land survey fixes the alignment on the ground, and the GPR profile shows the buried services the cable has to avoid. We provide the subsurface part. For the town-wide picture of ground and utilities, see our GPR survey in Nadiad page. Mezux Touch is not affiliated with MGVCL or any DISCOM.
How quickly can an L-section in Nadiad be scheduled?
Field time depends mainly on the character of the route. Open stretches between villages move quickly; old town lanes, busy junctions near the station and roads that can be worked only at night slow the crew down. Our crews and 58 company-owned radar systems travel from Faridabad, so the start date is not held up waiting for hired equipment. The written quote carries a field programme that you can line up with your planned excavation start, and night-shift working, where needed, is priced as a separate item.

No second visit charges
Booking the profile with the route survey means one field programme instead of paying for crew days twice.
Standard survey where it is enough
On simple stretches we will tell you if the ₹24 standard survey meets your scope, so you do not overspend.

Questions about L-section surveys in Nadiad
Can an L-section be added after the route survey is done?
It can, but it usually costs more time than ordering it upfront. The profile needs radar lines planned along the alignment, and a finished standard survey may not have recorded enough to build it. In most cases the crew returns to rescan the route, which means a second mobilisation.
What is the price difference on a 10 km Nadiad route?
A standard survey of 10 km costs ₹2,40,000, while the same length with an L-section costs ₹3,20,000. The difference is ₹80,000, or ₹8 per metre. GST is added to both figures, and items such as mobilisation and traffic arrangements are quoted separately.
Does the L-section show where the new cable should be laid?
It shows the existing services and their depths along your route. The level of the new cable is a design decision made by your engineer or the client. The profile gives them the information to choose a depth that clears the services, or to decide where a bore is needed instead of a trench.
Is GST included in the ₹32 per metre rate?
No. GST is charged on top of the survey value. The ₹32 rate also does not cover mobilisation, night-shift working, traffic arrangements or permissions and CAD/GIS drawing sets; where you need any of these, they are listed as separate items on the written quote.
Can the L-section go into a DISCOM submission?
The profile is prepared so that contractors can include it in their project file. Whether it meets a particular client's requirement depends on that client's scope, so send us the relevant clause before the survey. Mezux Touch works for contractors and engineers and is not affiliated with MGVCL.
Does profiling a route require a road closure?
Normally no. The radar cart moves along the road edge or carriageway like any slow-moving work crew. On busy roads, traffic management or night working may be needed, and that is arranged with your team and quoted separately from the survey rate.
