Quick answer

Need a GPR survey company in Bhavnagar? From Faridabad, Mezux Touch brings staff crews and company-owned radar to trace power cables, OFC ducts, pipelines, and water and sewer lines along Bhavnagar roads, port approaches and industrial plots. A Bhavnagar standard survey costs ₹24 a metre and a Bhavnagar L-section ₹32 a metre. Each Bhavnagar order is charged on 4 km at least, each Bhavnagar project on ₹1,00,000 at least, with GST added above that.

Rates and page checked:

Field operator reviewing a radar scan on a handheld tablet outdoors
Readings are checked on site, so doubtful Bhavnagar stretches get a second pass the same day.
Diagram of radar signal weakening as it passes through moist, salty soil
Salt and moisture near the gulf shoreline shorten radar reach; dry inland soil extends it.
Coloured paint marks on a road showing positions of buried cables and pipes
Each detected line in Bhavnagar is painted in its utility colour with depth written alongside.
Map with pins marking several towns served from one mobilisation
Bhavnagar work can share one trip with routes in Botad, Amreli or Rajkot.

Why bring in a GPR survey company in Bhavnagar before digging?

Most excavation damage happens because nobody knew a line was there. A GPR survey company in Bhavnagar closes that gap by sending radar pulses into the ground and interpreting the reflections that buried objects send back. Our crews pair the radar with electromagnetic (EM) locators, which pick up conductive cables and metal pipes by the signal they carry or by a signal we apply to them.

On a typical Bhavnagar route the survey looks for:

  • 11 kV and LT distribution cables, street-light feeds and earthing strips;
  • water mains, house connections and plastic service pipes;
  • sewer lines, storm-water drains and box culverts;
  • telecom copper and OFC ducts belonging to different operators;
  • industrial pipelines and steel lines on factory and port-side land.

For cables in detail, see underground cable detection; for water, gas and sewer lines, see underground pipeline detection.

What kind of underground work comes up around Bhavnagar?

The city sits on the western shore of the Gulf of Khambhat, and that position shapes much of the buried-service work here. Projects we expect enquiries for fall into a few groups:

  • Municipal streets. Roads under the Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation carry water, drainage, power and telecom lines laid at different times by different agencies, often with patchy records.
  • Port and coastal industry. Plant extensions, new feeders and process pipelines on industrial land need a clear picture of existing services before trenching.
  • The wider district. The Alang ship-recycling yard lies in Bhavnagar district, and yard roads, power connections and pipe runs in such areas are typical places where buried-service checks are requested.
  • Distribution cabling. Power distribution across Saurashtra and Kutch is handled by PGVCL (Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Ltd., head office Rajkot), and contractors laying underground cable in its area often need route surveys first.
  • Telecom routes. OFC ducts along road shoulders, usually laid by narrow trench or HDD.

GPR scanning services in Bhavnagar for any of these follow the same principle: scan the full route, mark what is found, and report honestly where the ground did not allow a clear reading.

How does coastal ground near the Gulf of Khambhat affect radar depth?

Radar signals lose strength faster in ground that conducts electricity. Near a tidal coastline, soil can hold salt and stay damp for long periods, and both conditions cut the depth the radar can see. Further inland, drier and sandier ground usually lets the signal travel deeper.

We therefore do not quote one depth figure for Bhavnagar. Each section of the route gets its own note in the report saying how deep the radar actually reached and how confident the reading is. Where a ground penetrating radar survey in Bhavnagar cannot settle a critical depth, we can open a trial pit or drill a borehole at that point on request.

Our article on GPR survey in Saurashtra and Kutch ground discusses the regional soil picture in more depth.

What are the GPR survey rates for Bhavnagar?

We charge by the metre of route scanned. Our standard rate is ₹24 for each metre, or ₹24,000 for every kilometre. Ask for the L-section version, where the radar team also plots how deep each detected service lies along your alignment, and the figure becomes ₹32 a metre. Anything under 4 km goes on the invoice as 4 km, and Bhavnagar falls beyond Delhi NCR, so ₹1,00,000 is the smallest bill any project here can carry. GST is added on top.

Sample jobTypeBefore GST
3 km municipal streetStandard₹1,00,000 (4 km = ₹96,000, raised to the project floor)
6 km feeder cable routeStandard₹1,44,000
6 km feeder cable routeL-section₹1,92,000
120 km district programmeStandard, 25% off₹21,60,000

Order-wide discounts apply above 100 km (25%), above 500 km (40%) and above 1,000 km (50%), and once a slab is crossed the cut applies to every metre on the order. Travel and mobilisation, night working, traffic control, road permissions and any CAD/GIS drawing set appear on the quote as their own lines. Full slab details sit on our GPR survey price list.

Which survey services can a Bhavnagar project order?

  • Route survey – finds what is already buried beside or across your proposed cable, pipe or duct line, gives approximate depths and marks each find on the ground.
  • HT/LT cable route survey – tuned to distribution cabling and its road, rail and drain crossings; details on our Bhavnagar cable route survey page.
  • L-section survey – the route scan plus a depth profile, for work orders that ask for one; see L-section GPR survey in Bhavnagar.
  • Plot and yard scans – utility detection services in Bhavnagar for factory plots, warehouses and campuses, run as a grid instead of a line.
  • Cable fault locating – a separate job from route survey, quoted on its own terms.
  • Trial pits and boreholes – arranged on request to prove depth at chosen points.

Drawings, CAD/GIS layers and written reports can also be supplied, priced separately where they apply.

How do our crews reach Bhavnagar and plan the job?

There is no Mezux office in Bhavnagar. Crews and equipment set out from our Faridabad base, drawing on a fleet of 58 company-owned GPR systems and 18 HDD rigs. We rent no machines and sub-let none of the field work. Over 23 years our teams have logged 1.5 lakh+ km of GPR survey across 28+ States and UTs, so a long road journey to Saurashtra is routine planning, not an obstacle.

To keep travel cost per kilometre low, routes in Bhavnagar can be bundled with work in neighbouring districts such as Botad and Amreli. Our Gujarat GPR survey hub lists the other towns we cover in the state.

Our company has no affiliation with PGVCL, nor with any other DISCOM; the client who places the order is the only party we report to.

FAQ

Questions about GPR survey in Bhavnagar

Can you survey inside a port-side or industrial plant in Bhavnagar?

Yes, once the plant owner grants access and shares its safety rules. Inside a plant we scan along the proposed route or on a grid over the work area, and live process lines, cable trenches and earthing are recorded. Our crews follow the site's permit system, and ISO 45001:2018 governs our own safety practice.

Do you work on Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation roads?

We scan wherever the client has permission to work. Road-cutting or occupation permission from the municipal corporation, or any other road owner, is arranged by the project owner. Traffic arrangements are billed outside the survey rate. On busy streets we can split the scan into short sections to suit permitted hours.

Will saline coastal ground stop the survey?

It will not stop the survey, but it can reduce how deep the radar sees. EM locating of conductive cables is less affected by salt than radar is. The report records the depth achieved on each section, so you know which readings are firm and where a trial pit might be worth opening.

How soon do I get a quote?

Once we have the route file, the total length, the work type and whether an L-section is needed, a quote can usually be prepared quickly. It shows the metre charge, any minimum that applies, mobilisation and other separate items. Missing details such as crossings or working hours can be added later and the quote revised.

Can the survey cover HDD crossing points?

Yes. Where your route crosses a road, drain or railway by HDD, we scan the bore path and the launch and receive pit areas as far as access allows. Services found near the planned bore are marked with approximate depth so the drilling team can adjust the profile before starting.

Is your work linked to PGVCL?

No. Mezux Touch holds no approval, empanelment or tie-up with PGVCL or any DISCOM. Contractors working on PGVCL-area projects can order a survey from us as private clients, and the findings and report belong to them alone.
