Quick answer

The Mezux GPR survey articles section gathers field guides on underground utility mapping, cable route surveys, L-sections, soil limits and survey costs. Filter them by region, Gujarat, Delhi NCR, State capitals or India-wide, to find advice that matches your site. Older company posts on fibre, HDD and right-of-way stay in Insights.

Rates and page checked:

Survey team standing beside radar carts and field equipment
Guides draw on field experience gathered by our in-house crews.
Printed survey report pages with route drawings and data tables
Several guides explain what a complete survey report should contain.
Clipboard checklist used to plan an underground utility survey
Checklists help you prepare a route before the crew arrives.
Map of India with pins marking several city locations
Filter by Gujarat, Delhi NCR, State capitals or India-wide topics.

What do these GPR survey articles cover?

These GPR survey articles are written for the people who order, supervise and depend on underground surveys: cable and pipeline contractors, DISCOM and municipal engineers, telecom planners and consultants preparing tenders. Each one answers practical questions, such as what a survey should include, what the ground will allow, how quantities are measured and which records to keep afterwards.

Taken together they form a set of underground utility mapping guides rooted in site work rather than textbook theory. Mezux Touch has completed more than 1.5 lakh km of radar survey across 28+ States/UTs with 58 company-owned GPR systems, and the guides draw on that experience. Wherever a guide mentions cost, it follows the current GPR survey price list.

How does the region filter work?

Ground, agencies and site rules change from one region to the next, so every article carries a region tag. Use the filter above the list to narrow it down:

  • Gujarat – DISCOM cabling, GIDC estates, coastal and dry-zone soils, L-sections and tender quantities. A good first read is the Gujarat underground cabling guide, alongside our state page for GPR survey in Gujarat.
  • Delhi NCR – road-cutting checks, sector roads, housing societies, metro diversions and monsoon effects across Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad. See also GPR survey in Delhi NCR.
  • State capitals – local guides for capital cities, each describing its terrain and typical buried services. The locations section lists the capitals we serve.
  • India – method guides that apply anywhere, in effect a GPR survey guide for India as a whole: radar versus EM locators, depth accuracy, deliverables, radargrams and soil limits.

Clearing the filter brings every guide back into view. Some topics, such as L-sections or HDD crossings, appear under more than one region because the ground and agencies differ. New titles are added region by region as they are written and checked.

Where are the older Insights posts?

Before this section existed, Mezux published a set of posts on fibre and trenchless work. They remain under Insights and cover how GPR works, utility strike prevention, HDD drilling, trenchless versus open-trench methods, right-of-way approvals and owned versus rented fleets. Those posts give the background; the articles here go further into survey planning for particular regions and project types.

Which guide should you read first?

  • Preparing a tender or BOQ? Begin with the guide on GPR survey quantity for DISCOM tenders.
  • Unsure what the ground allows? Look for the soil guides tagged to your region.
  • Need a depth profile? The L-section guides explain when an L-section survey is worth ordering.
  • Planning a bore under a road or canal? Start with the HDD crossing articles.

Each guide is written to be read on site as well as at a desk: short sections, question-style headings and lists you can copy into a method statement. All guides keep the facts plain. Rates never cover mobilisation, night shifts, traffic permissions or CAD/GIS drawing sets, and depth is always tied to soil and moisture. If a guide leaves your question open, ask the survey desk directly.

TIP 1

Pick your region

Use the filter to show Gujarat, Delhi NCR, State capitals or India-wide guides that match the ground you are working on.

TIP 2

Read the method guides

India-wide articles explain radar, EM locating, depth limits and deliverables, which helps when comparing quotes from different survey firms.

TIP 3

Use the checklists

Contractor checklists list what to send before a survey: route, crossings, target depths, access hours and the drawings you need.

TIP 4

Check quantities and cost

Tender and BOQ guides show how survey metres are measured, how minimums apply and where the discount slabs begin.

TIP 5

Ask the survey desk

Call +91 99100 10209 or email kumar@mezux.in with your route if a guide does not answer your project question.

FAQ

Questions about Mezux articles and guides

Are the articles free to read?

Yes. Every article and field guide is open to read without sign-up. They are written by the Mezux survey desk to help contractors and engineers plan surveys, and you are welcome to share links with colleagues or add them to project notes.

How often are new guides added?

Guides are added region by region once they have been written and checked against our rate card and field notes. Each article shows the date it was last updated, so you can see how current the information is before relying on it.

Do the articles show current rates?

Guides that discuss cost use the current rate card: ₹24 per metre standard, ₹32 per metre with an L-section, a 4 km minimum and GST extra, plus a ₹1,00,000 project minimum outside Delhi NCR. If a rate changes, the price list page is the reference.

What is the difference between Articles and Insights?

Insights holds our earlier company posts on fibre networks, HDD, right-of-way and fleet ownership. Articles is the newer section of survey field guides, tagged by region and focused on planning, ground conditions, deliverables and costs for specific project types.

Can I suggest a topic for a guide?

Yes. Email kumar@mezux.in with the question your team keeps running into. Suggestions from site teams often turn into guides, especially when they concern a region or a soil type that the section does not yet cover.

Are the guides tied to Mezux equipment?

No. They explain survey methods in general terms, covering radar, EM locating, L-sections and trial pits, so they stay useful whichever firm you hire. Where a guide mentions Mezux, it refers to our own rates, crews and company-owned systems.
