Immediately outside the union territory the discipline ends. Mohali and the Zirakpur belt grew quickly and commercially, with services installed by multiple developers under separate authorities and no equivalent consolidated record.
This is where most tricity survey work actually sits, and it needs the opposite assumption to Chandigarh proper: treat records as a hypothesis at best, and plan line spacing for congestion rather than order. Panchkula falls between the two — planned in intent, less consistently documented in practice.
Industrial Area and the IT Park
Industrial Area Phases I and II carry older estate servicing with successive occupiers and the abandoned connections that come with them.
