A telecom cable route survey in Jaipur scans the planned OFC duct line, its HDD crossings and pit locations for ducts, cables and pipes already in the ground. We do it with radar and EM locating, mark finds on site and issue a signed report. Pricing: ₹24 a metre, ₹32 with an L-section, 4 km and ₹1,00,000 minimum, GST extra.

What does a telecom cable route survey in Jaipur tell a fibre planner?
Fibre routes are usually planned on a map along road edges, footpaths and verges – the same strips where earlier operators, the power distribution company and the water network already put their lines. A telecom cable route survey in Jaipur shows what is actually in that strip before the duct alignment is frozen.
From the survey a planner learns:
- which side of the road has room for a new duct;
- where existing ducts, power cables and pipes cross the proposed line;
- whether each planned HDD crossing has a clear path and safe pit locations;
- which stretches are too crowded and should be re-routed.
Paint marks on site and a signed report carry the results to your team. Our method for fibre work in general is set out on the OFC route GPR survey page, and the wider city picture is on our Jaipur GPR survey page.
Where is duct space hardest to find on Jaipur roads?
Optical fiber route survey in Jaipur tends to slow down in four kinds of place:
- The walled city. Lanes in the UNESCO-listed old city are narrow and already carry many services. Excavation there needs strong justification, so the fibre alignment has to be proven clear before any opening is applied for.
- Roads beside Jaipur Metro. Services were diverted when the metro was built, and the strips next to its alignment now hold relocated cables and pipes close together.
- Footpaths shared by several operators. Telecom ducts from different networks are often stacked along the same footpath edge, sometimes with no marker stones left.
- Junctions and colony entrances. Power cables, water lines and drains converge here, and a duct route has to cross them all.
Such stretches are scanned with closer line spacing and given their own days in the programme, while open stretches move at normal pace.
How is a trenchless utility survey in Jaipur done for HDD crossings?
Many fibre routes cross main roads, drains and junctions by horizontal directional drilling rather than open trench. For each crossing, a trenchless utility survey in Jaipur covers:
- the full bore line from entry pit to exit pit, scanned lengthwise;
- cross-lines at close spacing over the bore path, to catch services running across it;
- both pit areas, to confirm that the pits themselves will not hit anything.
The result tells the drilling crew what lies across the bore and at roughly what depth, so bore depth and entry angle can be set to pass beneath it. Where depths along the crossing need to be plotted, an L-section at ₹32 a metre can be ordered for those lengths. Our HDD route survey page describes the method used for bore paths in more detail.
Can radar find another operator's empty duct?
Often, yes, and this is where GPR earns its place on fibre work. An empty HDPE duct carries no current, so an EM locator cannot sense it. Radar detects it because the duct and the air inside it differ from the surrounding soil.
Detection still has limits. Small ducts at depth, ducts in wet ground, and bundles laid tightly together can be hard to separate. Where a duct is found but its owner cannot be identified from chambers or markers, the report lists it as an unidentified telecom duct. Our guide to GPR scanning for OFC routing explains how radar images of ducts are read.
Do FTTH and last-mile routes need the same survey?
The method is the same; the layout differs. Last-mile and FTTH work runs through colonies, lanes and housing societies, where routes are short, branched and full of water and LT service connections. Instead of a single long alignment, we scan each branch and the area around cabinets and splice points.
This telecom infrastructure survey in Jaipur still follows the standard metre rate and minimums, so several colonies or branches are best grouped into one order. Details of our fibre-to-the-home work are on the FTTH projects page.
How is an OFC route survey in Jaipur priced?
Every metre scanned is charged at ₹24 on a standard survey and ₹32 where an L-section is added. Fibre orders in Jaipur are billed for 4 km at the least, and the project total cannot go below ₹1,00,000 because the city lies outside Delhi NCR. GST comes on top.
| Fibre job | Survey | Before GST |
|---|---|---|
| 5 km duct link | Standard | ₹1,20,000 |
| 40 km city backbone | Standard | ₹9,60,000 |
| 40 km city backbone | L-section | ₹12,80,000 |
| 700 km state-wide rollout | Standard, 40% slab | ₹1,00,80,000 |
Discounts are set by the size of the whole rollout and then run over every metre in it: a quarter off once it passes 100 km, 40% once it passes 500 km and half once it passes 1,000 km. Mobilisation, night-shift work, traffic arrangements or permissions, and CAD/GIS drawing sets are priced as their own items. The slab table is on the GPR survey price list.
Who arranges road permissions for a Jaipur fibre route?
Permission to work on a road comes from whichever body controls it – the municipal corporation, the development authority, the state PWD or, on its land, Jaipur Metro. The project owner applies. We have no affiliation with any of them, and a survey from us neither grants nor hastens an approval. Where a client wants help preparing right-of-way applications, that is a separate service, described on our ROW clearance in Jaipur page.

Questions about OFC route survey in Jaipur
Can you tell whether a duct we find already has fibre in it?
Not reliably from the surface. Radar shows the duct, and sometimes a difference between full and empty ducts, but it cannot confirm the cable inside. If a duct needs to be identified, opening the nearest chamber or a trial pit is the dependable check, and that can be added on request.
Do you survey micro-trench routes?
Yes. Micro-trenching cuts a narrow, shallow slot, so it mainly needs to know what lies close to the surface: shallow cables, service pipes and road layers. We scan the cut line closely and report any shallow services that would be hit by the saw.
Are HDD route survey services in Jaipur priced differently from trench routes?
No. A bore path is charged at the same metre rate as any other route, ₹24 standard or ₹32 with an L-section. The scanned length of each crossing, including pit areas, is added to the order total, and the minimums apply to the whole order.
Can the survey run without closing the road?
Usually. Our crews scan along footpaths and road edges with traffic moving, using cones and a lookout. Where a full lane closure or diversion is needed, the permission and traffic arrangements come through the project owner and are charged separately from the survey rate.
Do power cables near a fibre route create problems?
They are a strike risk rather than a survey problem. Live HT and LT cables show clearly on EM locating and on radar, so we record them along the duct line. Keeping a safe gap from them is a design decision, and the report gives the positions you need to make it.
Can you scan a route through a housing society or campus?
Yes, once the owner gives access. Inside private land we scan the planned duct path and the areas around cabinets and entry points, on a grid where the layout is irregular. The same metre rate applies, worked out on the scan lines needed.
