Quick answer

Underground utility mapping in Jaipur records every buried service across a whole site or corridor, rather than one planned line. Mezux Touch scans a grid with radar and EM locators, sorts finds into power, water, sewer, gas and telecom layers, and issues a signed report. Rates follow scan length: ₹24 a metre, minimum 4 km and ₹1,00,000, GST extra.

Rates and page checked:

Stacked map layers separating power, water, sewer and telecom lines
Power, water, sewer and telecom finds sit on separate layers of the record.
Survey team with radar carts and locators lined up before work
The same in-house team scans the grid, sorts the finds and signs the record.
Engineering drawing showing buried service lines plotted on a street plan
A CAD drawing of the findings can be ordered as a separately quoted item.
Workers hand-digging a small trial pit to expose a buried pipe
Trial pits, on request, prove depth or identity at points that matter to the design.

How is underground utility mapping in Jaipur different from a route survey?

A route survey answers one question: is this planned alignment clear? Underground utility mapping in Jaipur answers a wider one: what is buried across the whole site or corridor, and where? Instead of scanning a single strip, we cover the area on a grid, follow every service we find to the edge of the boundary, and record each one by type.

That wider record is useful when:

  • a design is not yet fixed, and the team needs to know where it has room;
  • several contractors will work on the same site over months or years;
  • an owner wants a baseline record of a campus or estate;
  • a road is being redesigned and every service on it has to be accounted for.

How we approach such work anywhere in India is set out on our underground utility mapping service page, and the city overview is on GPR survey in Jaipur.

Which Jaipur sites need a full buried-services map?

Some kinds of site in the city gain far more from an area-wide map than from a single cleared line:

Site typeWhy a map helps
Streets in the walled cityThe old city is a UNESCO World Heritage City, so conservation, drainage and streetscape works need to know what is buried before any opening is proposed.
Roads along Jaipur MetroServices shifted during metro construction now lie close together beside and across the alignment.
Hospital, college and office campusesDecades of extensions leave internal cables, water lines and drains that appear on no single drawing.
Colonies and plots before redevelopmentOld service connections, soak pits and abandoned lines often sit under the footprint of new buildings.
Factory and depot yardsProcess water, power and drainage lines cross the yard in every direction.

In each case we agree the boundary and the services of interest before the crew arrives, so the grid is planned to suit the site.

When are 3D utility mapping services in Jaipur worth ordering?

Most mapping uses 2D radar lines: parallel passes with cross-lines, each giving a vertical slice through the ground. Services are joined up from one slice to the next. That works well for straight runs of cable and pipe.

Where services bend, branch or cluster – a junction, a chamber area, a substation exit or a crowded yard – a 3D or high-resolution scan on a dense grid shows their layout more clearly. 3D utility mapping services in Jaipur take more scan lines for the same area, so the cost rises in step, and they are best kept to the spots that need them. When to choose each is set out in 3D GPR or 2D lines: which to order.

Can the map follow subsurface utility engineering practice?

Subsurface utility engineering in Jaipur, as elsewhere, rates each item of utility information according to its source: from records alone, from surface features, from detection with instruments, or from physical exposure. Our survey work sits mainly at the detection level – radar and EM locating – and can be combined with:

  • review of any records the client or service owners share;
  • chambers, covers, poles and markers recorded at the surface;
  • trial pits or boreholes on request, to expose a service and prove its depth and type.

The report says which method produced each find, so a design team can see how firm every line is. The grading system is explained in our guide to SUE quality levels, and the service itself on the SUE survey page.

Do you work as a GIS utility mapping agency in Jaipur?

Out of every mapping job comes paint on the ground and a signed report in which each service carries its position, estimated depth, type and the method that found it. Drawing sets are separate:

  • Underground utility CAD drawing services in Jaipur – a layered drawing with each utility on its own layer, quoted separately;
  • GIS layers – findings prepared for a client's GIS, also quoted separately;
  • L-section – a depth profile of detected services along a corridor, at ₹32 a metre.

Tell us at enquiry stage which drawings you need, because they change the quote. Formats and layer standards are covered under CAD/GIS utility mapping.

How does utility corridor mapping in Jaipur work on long roads?

For a road being widened, re-surfaced or redesigned, utility corridor mapping in Jaipur covers the full width between property lines instead of one side. Longitudinal lines run along each lane, footpath and verge, with cross-lines over the whole width at regular gaps and at every chamber or junction. Each service is followed along the corridor so that breaks, bends and crossings are recorded.

Work of the smart city underground mapping kind, where a whole network of streets is recorded before upgrades, is handled the same way, street by street. Access to each street is the client's to arrange with its controlling body, be that a municipal corporation, the development authority or the state PWD. We hold no affiliation with those bodies or with JVVNL.

How is utility mapping priced in Jaipur?

For an area job, the bill is worked out from how many metres of radar line the grid needs, at ₹24 per metre, or ₹32 per metre where an L-section is ordered. Jaipur orders count as at least 4 km of lines, and the project total is never below ₹1,00,000 because the city is outside Delhi NCR. GST is added on top.

Mapping jobScan lengthBefore GST
Heritage street block2.8 km of lines₹1,00,000 (4 km floor, then project floor)
College campus6.5 km of lines₹1,56,000
Road corridor with L-section30 km₹9,60,000
City-wide street programme1,200 km, 50% slab₹1,44,00,000

A programme longer than 100 km of lines is charged 25% less for each of its metres, one beyond 500 km 40% less, and one beyond 1,000 km half. Getting the crew here from Faridabad, any night shifts, traffic control and permits, and CAD/GIS drawing sets each carry their own price. For all slabs, open the Mezux GPR rate list.

STEP 1

Agree the boundary

Share a site plan or KML showing the area to map, and which utility types matter most to the design.

STEP 2

Collect what exists

Any drawings from owners, earlier surveys or the client's records help us plan the grid and check findings.

STEP 3

Scan the grid

Passes run both ways across the site, and a locator follows each metal line the radar reveals.

STEP 4

Sort into layers

Each service is classed as power, water, sewer, gas, telecom or unidentified, and followed to the boundary.

STEP 5

Issue the record

You receive site marks and the signed report, plus any CAD or GIS sets you ordered.

FAQ

Questions about underground utility mapping in Jaipur

Will the map include lines that could not be identified?

Yes. Any service detected but not linked to an owner or type is shown as unidentified, with its position and depth estimate. Leaving it out would hide a real strike risk. If its identity matters, a trial pit at one point along it can be added on request.

Can you map inside an operating hospital or college?

Yes. Scanning is done from the surface without opening the ground, so the site can keep working. We plan the grid around access hours, parked vehicles and busy entrances, and the owner arranges permission for our crew inside the campus.

Does the map record manholes and chambers?

Yes. Visible covers, chambers, valves, poles and markers are noted during the survey, because they help link buried lines to their owners. Where a cover can be safely opened by the owner, the services entering it give a useful check on the radar findings.

How reliable are the mapped depths?

Radar depth is an estimate based on signal speed, calibrated on site. It is generally dependable in dry, even ground and less so in wet or mixed fill. The report gives the confidence reached on each section, and trial pits can prove depth where the design depends on it.

Does the map stay valid after later works on the site?

The record shows the ground on the survey date. New cables, pipes or diversions laid afterwards will not appear. If later works change the site, the affected streets or areas can be re-scanned as a fresh order and the new findings issued as an update.

Do old plans of the site help the survey?

They help us plan, but they are not taken as fact. Old drawings often show services that were moved or never built, and miss later additions. We compare records with what the instruments find and note every difference in the report.
