Underground utility mapping in Hyderabad records every cable, pipe, duct and drain across a site or corridor, not just along one route. Our crews scan a GPR grid, trace metal lines by EM, then mark and report finds by utility layer. Billing: ₹24 per metre of scan line, 4 km and ₹1,00,000 minimums, plus GST; CAD/GIS drawings extra.

How does underground utility mapping in Hyderabad differ from a route scan?
A route survey clears one line for one new service. Underground utility mapping in Hyderabad asks a wider question: what is buried anywhere across this site or corridor, and where exactly? The answer becomes a record that designers, estate teams and later contractors can all work from.
The differences show in how the work is run:
- Coverage. Radar lines are laid out as a grid over the full area, or across the full width of a corridor, not only along a centreline.
- Every utility. Power, water, sewer, storm drainage, telecom, gas and unknown features are all recorded, whatever the client plans to build.
- Attribution. Each find is linked, where possible, to an owner through chambers, valves, poles or records, and flagged as unattributed where it cannot be.
- Confidence. Every feature carries a confidence grade, so the user knows which lines are firm and which need checking.
The general service is described on our underground utility mapping page; this page covers how it is done in Hyderabad.
Which Hyderabad sites usually need a full utility map?
Mapping pays off wherever many services share ground and records are incomplete. In Hyderabad that typically means:
- IT parks and corporate campuses, where estate teams want a maintained record before expansions, new blocks or fresh connectivity;
- pharmaceutical and industrial estates, where process, effluent and firewater lines sit among power and water services;
- hospital, university and institutional campuses with decades of additions laid over one another;
- road corridors due for widening or junction improvement under GHMC, where every owner's services have to be found before the design is fixed;
- areas along the Hyderabad Metro, where services were shifted during construction and older drawings may no longer apply.
Granite outcrops and shallow rock appear in many parts of the city, and where they affect a design, signs of rock seen on the radar are noted alongside the services. For wider notes on the city, see our Hyderabad GPR survey page.
How are Hyderabad services sorted into layers?
Findings are grouped by utility type, each with its own colour on the ground and its own layer in the record:
- power cables, HT and LT, including the TGSPDCL distribution network where it can be identified;
- water supply mains and service connections;
- sewers and storm-water drains, including culverts under roads;
- telecom cables and fibre ducts from different operators;
- gas and other pipelines;
- unidentified features and possible voids or chambers.
Ownership is recorded only where evidence supports it. Mezux Touch has no affiliation with GHMC, TGSPDCL, the metro or any development authority, so we do not speak for any of them; we report what we found to the client who placed the order. For long linear jobs, our utility corridor mapping service applies the same layering over many kilometres.
Do you offer subsurface utility engineering in Hyderabad?
Yes, within the scope of what our methods can support. Subsurface utility engineering in Hyderabad tags every item of utility data with the way it was gathered, so a designer knows how far to trust it:
- records – existing drawings and owner data, where the client can provide them;
- surface evidence – chambers, valve covers, poles, marker posts and pillars recorded on site;
- geophysical designation – positions and approximate depths found by radar and EM;
- physical exposure – trial pits or boreholes at chosen points, on request, to confirm position and depth.
Most clients order the first three across the whole site and the fourth only where a design decision depends on it. Our guide to SUE quality levels explains the grading in detail.
When are 3D utility mapping services in Hyderabad worth ordering?
Standard 2D radar lines suit most corridors and open sites. A closer 3D or high-resolution grid is worth considering where services cross at many angles in a small area: crowded junctions, substation and plant yards, building entries and campus utility hubs. The denser grid lets the operator follow a pipe or cable through bends and crossings that separate lines could misread.
It takes more scan lines and more time per square metre, so it is normally kept to the few zones where crossings crowd together. The charge is still per metre, counted on the radar lines that are actually run. When each approach fits is set out in 3D GPR or 2D line survey.
Which CAD and GIS outputs can you supply?
The standard handover is ground marking and a signed report. Where a client keeps a digital asset record, we can add underground utility CAD drawing services in Hyderabad – findings plotted on your site plan in your layer scheme – or GIS files for an existing spatial database, acting as a GIS utility mapping agency for that dataset. Both are quoted separately from the survey. The same applies to records for smart city underground mapping in Hyderabad, where a public body or its consultant wants buried networks held digitally. Formats and layer options are explained under CAD/GIS utility mapping.
What does utility mapping in Hyderabad cost?
The bill is worked out from the combined length of every scan line, at the same card rates as route work: ₹24 a metre as standard, or ₹32 a metre if a corridor also needs an L-section. Since Hyderabad lies beyond Delhi NCR, a job is never billed on less than 4 km of lines or below ₹1,00,000. GST is added.
| Mapping job | Survey | Before GST |
|---|---|---|
| Campus grid totalling 1.2 km of lines | Standard | ₹1,00,000 (4 km = ₹96,000, raised to floor) |
| 14 km road corridor, full width | Standard | ₹3,36,000 |
| 14 km road corridor, full width | L-section | ₹4,48,000 |
| 300 km multi-corridor programme | Standard, 25% slab | ₹54,00,000 |
Big programmes get a whole-order discount that applies to every metre once the order passes a threshold: 100 km brings 25% off, 500 km 40% and 1,000 km 50%. Separate prices apply to getting the crew to Hyderabad, to any night shifts, to traffic control and permits, and to CAD/GIS sets. For the slab table, open the GPR survey price list.

Combine sites in one visit
Mapping several Hyderabad campuses or estates in one order shares one mobilisation and adds up towards a slab.
Big programmes, lower rate
Programmes above 100 km pay 25% less on every metre, above 500 km 40% less, above 1,000 km half.
Drawings only if you need them
CAD and GIS sets are optional extras, so a client needing only marks and a report pays for nothing more.
Owned systems throughout
Our 58 GPR systems are company property, so rental costs never reach a mapping quote.

Questions about underground utility mapping in Hyderabad
Can you map a running pharmaceutical or industrial plant?
Yes, under the plant's own permit system. Scanning starts only after the site grants the clearances it requires, and probable process or effluent lines are recorded as such. Areas we cannot enter for safety or operational reasons are shown as gaps in the record, not filled in by assumption.
Will the map show the depth of every service?
It shows an approximate depth wherever the method could measure one. How deep radar can see depends on soil type and moisture, so some deep or small services may be detected without a reliable depth, or not at all. The report states the depth reach on each part of the site.
Can existing drawings from the client be used?
Yes, and they help. We compare the drawings with what the scan finds, confirm the lines that match, and flag those that are missing, misplaced or found where no record exists. The final record is based on what was detected, with the source of each item stated.
How is a large campus divided for scanning?
We split it into blocks around buildings, roads and open ground, and set the grid spacing for each block according to how crowded it is. That lets the crew work block by block around the site's operating hours, and the report covers each block separately.
Can the map be updated after new works?
Yes. A later visit can scan only the areas where new services were laid or diverted and add them to the record. Such a visit is charged per metre like any other, minimums included. Scanning while new trenches are still recent gives the clearest picture.
Do you map pipes made of plastic?
Radar can detect many plastic pipes because their contents or the air inside reflect differently from the soil. An EM locator cannot follow them unless a tracer wire is present. Small plastic lines in wet ground are the hardest to find, and the report grades their confidence accordingly.
