GPR Survey Price List 2026 – Rate per Metre
One published card for every state: ₹24 per metre for a standard GPR survey, ₹32 per metre with an L-section depth profile, 4 km minimum billing, and a lower rate on the whole order past 100 km.
₹24/m standard₹32/m L-sectionMin 4 km · GST extra
- STEP 1Length taken from KML
- STEP 24 km floor checked
- STEP 3Slab set by total
- STEP 4Extras quoted separately
Our GPR survey price list sets a standard route survey at ₹24 per metre (₹24,000 per km) and an L-section survey at ₹32 per metre. Every order is billed for at least 4 km. Whole-order discounts of 25%, 40% and 50% start above 100, 500 and 1,000 km. GST, mobilisation, night shifts, traffic permissions and CAD/GIS drawings are extra.
- Plain route survey is ₹24 a metre and an L-section survey ₹32 a metre, both before GST.
- Anything shorter than 4 km is invoiced as 4 km; projects beyond NCR start at ₹1 lakh.
- Once the whole order passes 100, 500 or 1,000 km, every metre drops 25%, 40% or 50%.
- Mobilisation, night work, traffic arrangements and CAD/GIS sets always sit on separate quote lines.
- Hiring a survey avoids a ground penetrating radar price advertised at ₹16.5–24.5 lakh, plus upkeep.

What is on the GPR survey price list?
This GPR survey price list is the card our quotes are built from – there is no hidden "call for price" figure behind it. Two services are priced per running metre of route: the standard GPR survey, which locates and marks buried services, and the L-section GPR survey, which adds a depth profile along the route. Both share the same 4 km minimum and the same discount slabs.
| Service | Up to 100 km | Above 100 km (25% off) | Above 500 km (40% off) | Above 1,000 km (50% off) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard GPR Survey minimum 4 km | ₹24/m | ₹18/m | ₹14.40/m | ₹12/m |
| L-Section GPR Survey minimum 4 km | ₹32/m | ₹24/m | ₹19.20/m | ₹16/m |
Rates per running metre of route surveyed. GST extra. Discount applies to the whole order quantity once it crosses the slab. Outside Delhi NCR a ₹1,00,000 per-project minimum also applies. Mobilisation, night-shift working, traffic and permission arrangements and CAD/GIS drawing sets are quoted separately. Updated 23 October 2026.
The rates stay in force until we publish a revised card on this page. The figures move only when we formally revise the card, and a written quote you already hold stays good for the validity period printed on it.
How can I estimate the cost of my own route?
Type the route length in kilometres, choose standard or L-section, and say whether the site is inside Delhi NCR. The estimator applies the 4 km floor, picks the right discount slab and, for sites beyond NCR, checks the ₹1,00,000 project minimum.
Quick estimate
25 km × ₹24/m = ₹6,00,000 before GST.
Estimate only – the written quote confirms length, scope, extras and programme. What it shows is the survey value before GST. It deliberately leaves out the items that depend on your site – mobilisation, any night-shift working, traffic arrangements or permissions, and CAD/GIS drawing sets – because those can only be priced once we know the location and scope. Use the result as a budget figure; the written quote is the number to carry into a BOQ or purchase order.
What does a GPR survey cost per km at common route lengths?
The worked examples below run the card against typical order sizes – 4, 50, 100, 500 and 1,000 km – plus a few lengths just past each slab, so you see the total and not only the rate.
| Route length | Discount | Standard (₹24/m) | L-Section (₹32/m) | Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 km | 0% | ₹96,000 | ₹1,28,000 | billed as 4 km; outside NCR a standard job is billed at the ₹1,00,000 project minimum |
| 4 km | 0% | ₹96,000 | ₹1,28,000 | outside NCR a standard job is billed at the ₹1,00,000 project minimum |
| 10 km | 0% | ₹2,40,000 | ₹3,20,000 | — |
| 50 km | 0% | ₹12,00,000 | ₹16,00,000 | — |
| 100 km | 0% | ₹24,00,000 | ₹32,00,000 | — |
| 101 km | 25% | ₹18,18,000 | ₹24,24,000 | — |
| 250 km | 25% | ₹45,00,000 | ₹60,00,000 | — |
| 500 km | 25% | ₹90,00,000 | ₹1,20,00,000 | — |
| 501 km | 40% | ₹72,14,400 | ₹96,19,200 | — |
| 1,000 km | 40% | ₹1,44,00,000 | ₹1,92,00,000 | — |
| 1,001 km | 50% | ₹1,20,12,000 | ₹1,60,16,000 | — |
Amounts before GST and before any separately quoted items (mobilisation, night shifts, traffic and permission arrangements, CAD/GIS drawings). The discount applies to the whole order once it crosses a slab, so 101 km costs less than 100 km.
Some readings from the table worth noting:
- 4 km: ₹96,000 for a standard survey or ₹1,28,000 for an L-section. Outside NCR the standard job is lifted to the ₹1,00,000 project minimum.
- 50 km: ₹12,00,000 standard and ₹16,00,000 L-section. No slab yet, so the cost per km holds at ₹24,000 and ₹32,000.
- 100 km: ₹24,00,000 standard – the dearest point on the card compared with the order one kilometre longer.
- 500 km: ₹90,00,000 standard at 25% off, while 501 km falls to ₹72,14,400 at 40% off.
- 1,000 km: ₹1,44,00,000 standard at 40% off; 1,001 km comes to ₹1,20,12,000 at the 50% slab, or ₹12,000 per km.
All amounts are before GST and before any separately quoted item.
Standard or L-section: which rate fits your scope?
At ₹24 per metre, the standard survey finds the cables, pipes, ducts and drains along your alignment by radar, with electromagnetic locating on conductive lines, and marks them on the ground with the depth recorded at the points measured. That is what most trenching, HDD and cable-laying crews need before they open the ground.
The L-section GPR survey at ₹32 per metre covers the same field work and adds a depth profile of the detected services along the route. Order it where the contract or asset owner asks for a profile; elsewhere the standard rate does the job. One route can carry both – the profile only on the stretches named in your work order.
The L-section GPR survey rate falls through the same slabs: ₹24 per metre above 100 km, ₹19.20 above 500 km and ₹16 above 1,000 km.
How is the billable length measured?
You are billed for running metres of route surveyed – not crew-days, hours on site or the number of systems we bring. The length is fixed in the quote from your KML, alignment drawing or a list of roads with start and end points. Send the actual alignment rather than a rounded estimate, since the quote is only as accurate as what you give us.
A congested bazaar stretch that takes longer to scan costs the same per metre as an open highway shoulder. Where that slower stretch can only be worked at night, though, the night-shift working is a separate line. If the alignment grows or shifts after the quote, only the added length is billed, at the same per-metre rate. Anything under 4 km is billed as 4 km.
How do the discount slabs work – and why is 101 km cheaper than 100 km?
The slab is decided by the total quantity on the order and then applied to every metre of it, not just the metres above the threshold:
- Up to 100 km – full rate, ₹24/m standard or ₹32/m L-section
- Above 100 km – 25% off: ₹18/m or ₹24/m
- Above 500 km – 40% off: ₹14.40/m or ₹19.20/m
- Above 1,000 km – 50% off: ₹12/m or ₹16/m
Because the entire order drops to the lower rate, crossing a slab can shrink the bill. Exactly 100 km of standard survey costs ₹24,00,000; 101 km costs ₹18,18,000. In fact every standard order from 76 km to 100 km costs more than a 101 km order would. The same pattern repeats higher up: 401–500 km costs more than 501 km, and 835–1,000 km costs more than 1,001 km.
If your real quantity lands in one of those bands, look for other stretches, phases or divisions that could go on the same order. Our guide to survey quantity for a tender BOQ shows how to total a project before pricing it.
What does the per-metre rate cover?
The rate pays for the survey itself on the agreed route:
- GPR scanning of the route with our own systems and in-house crew
- Electromagnetic locating of conductive lines such as power cables and metallic pipes
- Ground marking of detected services, so the excavation or drilling team can work to them
- A survey report listing what was found and the depth radar reached in each section
- On L-section orders, the depth profile of detected services along the route
Anything that depends on the site, the working hours or a formal drawing standard is treated as a separate item, as listed in the next section.
What is charged separately from the GPR survey rate?
Four items are never part of the per-metre price. Each varies with where and how the work happens, so it appears as its own line in the written quote:
- Mobilisation – moving crews and GPR systems from Faridabad to your site and back.
- Night-shift working – where a road owner permits survey only at night, or where you want day and night shifts to shorten the programme.
- Traffic arrangements and permissions – barricading, traffic marshals or road-owner permissions needed to work on a live carriageway.
- CAD/GIS drawing sets – formal drawings or GIS layers prepared to your format through our utility mapping service.
GST is added on the invoice as well. Cable fault locating, boreholes and trial pits are separate tasks from a route survey; they are quoted only when you ask for them.
What minimums apply inside and outside Delhi NCR?
There are two floors, and only one of them depends on location:
- 4 km minimum, everywhere. An order shorter than 4 km is billed as 4 km – ₹96,000 standard or ₹1,28,000 L-section, before GST.
- ₹1,00,000 project minimum, outside Delhi NCR only. Our crews and systems are based in Faridabad, so a project elsewhere has to reach this value.
In practice the project minimum bites only on very short standard jobs. A standard survey passes ₹1,00,000 at roughly 4.17 km, and an L-section order is already above it at the 4 km floor. Inside Delhi NCR only the 4 km rule applies. With several short sites in one town, placing them on a single order lets one minimum cover all of them.
Why does one rate apply in every state?
All 58 GPR systems we field are company-owned and run by in-house crews – no hired machines and no sub-letting – so there is no local rental charge to pass on. That lets one card serve Delhi, Gujarat, the metros and smaller district towns alike. What does change with distance is shown openly: the mobilisation line and, beyond NCR, the project minimum.
Soil changes how deep radar can see – wet clay and saline ground reduce it, dry sandy ground helps – and the report states the depth reached, but the rate does not move with it. More on the equipment is on our company-owned machinery page.
Buy a GPR machine or hire a survey?
Some visitors reach this page looking for a ground penetrating radar price – the cost of the instrument rather than of a survey. Mezux Touch does not sell radar units; this list prices survey work carried out with our own. Set side by side, the two options carry very different cost items:
| Cost item | Owning a GPR machine | Hiring a survey on this card |
|---|---|---|
| Upfront outlay | The unit itself – seller listings seen in October 2026 advertised about ₹16.5 lakh to ₹24.5 lakh, as listed figures rather than quotations | Nothing; you pay for metres surveyed |
| People | An operator on salary, plus months of supervised projects before interpretation can be trusted | Our crew and interpreter, within the ₹24 or ₹32 metre rate |
| Extra instruments | EM locator and transmitter, processing software, positioning | EM locating is part of the survey |
| Upkeep | Repairs to antennas and wheels, batteries, licence renewals, insurance, storage | None |
| Idle time and breakdowns | Costs continue between jobs, and one unit in the workshop halts every job | Billing starts at 4 km and covers only what you order |
| Site extras | Transport, permissions and night working, all borne by you | Mobilisation, night shifts, traffic arrangements and CAD/GIS sets priced as separate lines |
The cheapest listing of ₹16.5 lakh would buy roughly 69 km of standard survey at the undiscounted rate – before the owner has spent anything on staff, an EM locator or repairs. Owning tends to pay off only for teams with frequent, steady checks and a trained interpreter on the payroll. The arithmetic is worked through in our article on GPR machine price in India and when hiring beats buying.
How do I get this price confirmed in writing?
Send the route as KML, drawing or road list, the city or district, the survey type and your preferred start date through the quote form or to kumar@mezux.in. The written quote states the length, the slab, any minimum, each separately charged item and the programme. If you are weighing our card against offers priced per day or per square metre, the GPR survey cost guide explains how to put them on the same footing.

Rates published, not negotiated
The per-metre figures on this page are the same ones printed on your quote, so every buyer starts from an identical number.
Owned systems, no rental mark-up
Our 58 GPR systems belong to the company, so no third-party hire charge is buried inside the metre rate.
Discount on the whole order
Once a slab is crossed, every metre on the order moves to the lower rate, not only the extra kilometres beyond it.
Billed by length, not days
A crowded stretch that takes longer to scan is charged at the same per-metre rate as an open one.
Extras shown line by line
Mobilisation, night shifts, traffic arrangements and drawings are priced separately, so you can see each cost and decide what you need.
Profile only where needed
Mix standard and L-section stretches on one route so the higher ₹32 rate applies only where your scope demands a depth profile.
Questions about the GPR survey price list
What is the GPR survey rate per meter?
₹24 per metre for a standard GPR survey and ₹32 per metre for an L-section survey, on orders up to 100 km. Past that the whole order is discounted: ₹18 and ₹24 per metre above 100 km, ₹14.40 and ₹19.20 above 500 km, and ₹12 and ₹16 above 1,000 km. GST is added on top.
Does the rate include mobilisation and drawings?
No. The per-metre price covers the survey on the agreed route. Mobilisation, night-shift working, traffic arrangements or permissions and CAD/GIS drawing sets are separate items, each given its own line in the written quote, and GST is added on the invoice.
What is the GPR survey price for the current month?
The rates on this page are the live card for this month: ₹24 per metre standard and ₹32 per metre L-section, with a 4 km minimum. The month label refreshes automatically; the numbers change only when we revise the card, and our quotes change with it.
Is the price different outside Delhi NCR?
The per-metre rate is identical. For a site beyond Delhi NCR, a ₹1,00,000 per-project minimum applies because crews and systems travel from Faridabad, and the separately quoted mobilisation reflects the distance. Inside NCR the 4 km minimum is the only floor.
Can I order a short 1 or 2 km stretch?
Yes, but it is billed as 4 km: ₹96,000 for a standard survey or ₹1,28,000 for an L-section, before GST and extras. Outside Delhi NCR a short standard job is raised to the ₹1,00,000 project minimum, so grouping nearby sites into one order makes the minimum go further.
How quickly can a long route be surveyed?
With day and night crews on an open corridor, our peak output has reached 100 km in a single day, and our record month covered 700 km in 30 days. Actual pace depends on traffic, access windows and congestion. Night-shift working is quoted separately from the per-metre rate.
