Quick answer

Mezux Touch works as a GPR survey company in Nadiad and the rest of Kheda district, sending in-house crews from Faridabad to locate buried power cables, pipes and OFC ducts and mark them before excavation. Pricing is ₹24/m standard and ₹32/m with L-section, 4 km minimum, ₹1,00,000 per-project floor outside Delhi NCR, plus GST.

Rates and page checked:

Field engineer checking a radar record on a tablet beside a survey cart
Readings are checked on screen before any Nadiad line is painted on the road.
Stacked map layers showing cables, pipes and ducts in different colours
Each detected service sits on its own layer when GIS output is ordered.
Cross-section of a cable route passing beneath an irrigation canal
Canal crossings across Kheda farmland get their own scan and record.
Narrow old town street with shops and overhead wires above the lane
Dense older lanes need slower passes and a tighter scanning grid.

Why hire a GPR survey company in Nadiad before excavation?

A single cable strike can stop a road job for days: an outage to answer for, a repair crew to wait on, and sometimes a safety incident. Burst water mains and damaged telecom ducts carry their own costs. Engaging a GPR survey company in Nadiad before the excavator arrives is how contractors take most of that risk off the table.

A ground penetrating radar survey in Nadiad covers the planned path of your trench, bore or foundation and tells you three things: where existing services run, roughly how deep they are, and which stretches could not be checked. Our crews confirm conductive lines with an electromagnetic locator, paint every confirmed service on the surface and write up the findings so the record outlives the paint.

None of this needs the ground opened. The equipment rolls over the surface, and live networks stay in service throughout.

What makes Nadiad's underground picture complicated?

Nadiad is the headquarters of Kheda district and a long-established town, the birthplace of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Age and location both shape what lies under its roads:

  • The older town – lanes around the temples and markets, including the area near Santram Mandir, carry water, drainage and service cables laid over many decades with little spare width.
  • The transport corridor – the town sits on the Ahmedabad–Vadodara rail line, with the expressway and NH-48 close by. Cable and pipe routes crossing these are prime candidates for HDD and need careful depth records.
  • New growth on the edges – housing schemes and commercial plots along the main roads add fresh services next to older ones, often by different agencies.
  • Farmland and canals – outside the town, Kheda's agricultural belt is cut by irrigation canals and village roads, each crossing a separate item in the survey.

Nadiad City is also among the areas cited in 2026 contractor disclosures on MGVCL underground-network work, which points to more cable routes being planned through these same streets.

What does the 2026 MGVCL work mean for Nadiad contractors?

MGVCL distributes power across central Gujarat, and Kheda is one of its seven districts. Its network has long been mostly overhead. Listed contractors reported large MGVCL orders in 2026 – an L1 position of ₹275.05 crore in August (Kalkine) and a ₹471.92 crore order in October (Whalesbook) – for covered-conductor conversion of 11 kV lines and underground networks, with Nadiad City, Borsad and Baroda among the areas named.

For the firms doing that kind of work, an early route survey is what keeps the trenching programme moving. It also feeds the quantities a tender asks for – our note on GPR survey quantity in a DISCOM tender BOQ covers how survey length is usually measured. For the overall sequence of a state cabling job, read the Gujarat underground cabling guide.

To be clear: Mezux Touch is not affiliated with MGVCL and has no MGVCL order or approval. We are hired by contractors and owners directly.

Which utility detection services in Nadiad do we offer?

Most enquiries from Kheda district fall into one of these scopes:

  1. Power cable routes – existing services recorded along a planned HT or LT alignment; see the Nadiad HT/LT cable route survey.
  2. Depth profiles – the same survey with an L-section added, covered on the Nadiad L-section page.
  3. Telecom duct routes – clearance for new OFC ducts along roadsides and at crossings.
  4. Pipe and sewer tracing – water mains, drainage and gas lines located ahead of repairs or new connections.
  5. Pre-excavation checks – a site cleared before foundations, sumps or boundary walls are dug.
  6. HDD bore paths – entry pit, exit pit and the line between them scanned before drilling.

Our general method is described on the underground cable detection page. Cable fault locating and trial pits or boreholes are available on request as separate jobs.

What will GPR scanning services in Nadiad cost?

Pricing works per metre of route surveyed. A plain survey is ₹24 a metre; with an L-section it is ₹32 a metre. Below 4 km the job is billed as 4 km, and Nadiad being outside Delhi NCR, no project is billed under ₹1,00,000. Some worked figures, all before GST:

  • 3 km lane survey: billed as 4 km (₹96,000), raised to the ₹1,00,000 floor.
  • 6 km duct route, standard: ₹1,44,000.
  • 30 km cable route with L-section: ₹9,60,000.
  • 250 km multi-town package, standard: 25% slab, ₹18 a metre, ₹45,00,000.
  • 600 km package, standard: 40% slab, ₹14.40 a metre, ₹86,40,000.

The slab discount (25% above 100 km, 40% above 500 km, 50% above 1,000 km) applies to the whole order, not only the metres past the threshold. Separately charged items are mobilisation, night-shift work, traffic arrangements or permissions, and CAD/GIS drawing sets. Full figures are on the GPR survey price list.

How do we plan field work for a Nadiad route?

Every system and every operator on a Nadiad job is our own – Mezux Touch does not hire machines or sub-let survey work. That control matters when a contractor's excavation crew is waiting. On open highway-side corridors our teams have reached 100 km in a day using day and night shifts, and our record month delivered 700 km in 30 days. Busy town lanes run far slower, and any night working is quoted as a separate line.

Before mobilising from Faridabad we agree the stretch order with you, so the sections your crew needs first are scanned and marked first. Neighbouring work can often be combined in one trip; see the Anand GPR survey page, or the Gujarat overview for other districts.

TIP 1

Send a KML route

An alignment file lets us measure true length and spot rail, highway and canal crossings before the quote is written.

TIP 2

Flag priority stretches

Tell us where your crew starts digging; those sections are scanned first so excavation and survey can overlap safely.

TIP 3

Share site access rules

Gated societies, plant premises and railway land need passes; listing them early avoids idle crew days in Nadiad.

TIP 4

Choose outputs up front

Decide whether you need a report only, an L-section or CAD/GIS drawings, so field data suits the final submission.

TIP 5

Group nearby jobs together

Combining Nadiad work with other Kheda or Anand sites spreads mobilisation and can push the order into a discount slab.

One trip for Kheda sites

Nadiad, Mahemdavad or Kapadvanj stretches can be scanned on a single mobilisation if the dates line up.

Watch the 100 km mark

A 98 km order pays ₹24 a metre; push it past 100 km and the whole length drops to ₹18.

Avoid paying twice for depth

If an L-section will be asked for later, buy it at ₹32/m now rather than returning for a second pass.

Keep small jobs together

Any order under ₹1,00,000 is raised to that floor, so short scans make better sense when bundled.

Daytime where possible

Night working costs extra; reserve it for the stretches where daytime traffic genuinely rules out scanning.

FAQ

Questions about GPR survey in Nadiad

Is there a GPR survey company near me in Nadiad?

We do not keep a branch in Nadiad. Mezux Touch mobilises its own crews and radar systems from Faridabad for each Kheda district job, so the team on your site is ours, not a local sub-contractor. Call +91 99100 10209 or write to kumar@mezux.in with the route, and we will send a quote and dates.

Can you survey the narrow lanes of old Nadiad?

Yes, with a compact radar cart and a hand-held electromagnetic locator. Progress is slower than on open roads because of shop fronts, parked two-wheelers and frequent service connections, so the programme allows more time per kilometre there. Spots we physically cannot reach are listed in the report.

Will the survey find plastic water pipes?

Often, yes. Radar picks up PVC and HDPE pipes because they contrast with the soil, though the signal is weaker than from metal and fades in wet ground. Plastic lines cannot be traced electromagnetically unless they carry a tracer wire, so we rely on radar passes and flag any uncertain readings.

How soon can a crew reach Nadiad?

That depends on fleet commitments at the time of your order. With 58 company-owned systems we are not waiting on hire availability, and the quote states a mobilisation date and field programme. Mobilisation itself is charged separately from the per-metre survey rate.

Do you mark the findings on the road?

Yes. Each confirmed service is painted in its utility colour with an approximate depth written next to it, so the excavation team can see the hazard without opening a drawing. Paint fades with traffic and rain, which is why the written report is the lasting record.

What if part of the route is under parked vehicles or locked gates?

We scan everything that is reachable and record each blocked stretch with its location and reason. If access opens up while the crew is still in Nadiad, we return to it. Otherwise it is shown as not surveyed, so nobody assumes it is clear.
