What does a GPR survey company in Bharuch actually locate?
Ground penetrating radar sends short pulses into the ground from a cart pushed along the surface. Where a pulse meets something with different electrical properties from the soil – a cable sheath, a pipe wall, a duct bank, a hollow – part of it bounces back, and the trace on screen shows where that object sits. As a GPR survey company in Bharuch, we pair the radar with an electromagnetic locator, which picks up metallic cables and pipes carrying a signal.
Used together, the two methods cover most of what lies under a district town and its industrial roads:
- HT and LT distribution cables, street-light feeders and earth strips;
- water mains, house connections and plastic pipes that EM alone would miss;
- sewer lines, storm drains and buried culverts;
- OFC ducts and older copper telecom cables;
- process and fuel pipelines running along estate roads;
- disused lines, buried chambers and hollows under the surface.
What radar cannot do is read labels. A detected line is reported by position, depth and likely type; ownership is confirmed from owner records, or from a trial pit where it matters to the design.
Why do Bharuch routes need careful planning?
The town stands on the north bank of the Narmada, and that one feature shapes a large share of the cable and pipe work here. NH-48 and the Mumbai–Ahmedabad rail line both cross the river at Bharuch, so routes heading south towards Ankleshwar or north towards Vadodara tend to bunch together near the bridge approaches.
- River and bridge approaches. Utilities converging on a crossing leave little free space, and a new cable or pipe must thread between those already laid.
- Highway and rail corridors. Land beside NH-48 and the railway is controlled by its owners, so scanning there follows their permissions and working hours.
- Industrial belts. The district contains the Dahej and Ankleshwar industrial areas, where estate roads carry a dense mix of power, water, effluent and process lines.
- Town streets. Older parts of Bharuch hold services laid at different times by different agencies, often without one combined record.
Our survey treats each of these as a separate zone with its own scan pattern, instead of running one fixed spacing along the whole job.
How is ground penetrating radar survey work in Bharuch carried out?
- Desk check. You send the alignment as KML, DWG or a marked map, plus any owner drawings. We note crossings, junctions and stretches likely to be congested.
- Walkover. The crew walks the route, records visible chambers, poles, valves and marker stones, and confirms access.
- Radar passes. Lines run along the alignment with cross-lines at intervals, and closer spacing at junctions, bridge approaches and estate gates. 3D or high-resolution scanning is used only where a congested patch needs it.
- EM tracing. Metallic cables and pipes are followed with the locator to confirm continuity between radar hits.
- Marking. Each detected service is painted on the ground with its approximate depth, so trenching or boring crews can work from the marks.
- Report. A written record of what was found, what was scanned and where coverage was limited.
A ground penetrating radar survey in Bharuch that contractors can plan from has to be honest about its own limits, so unscanned gaps – a parked truck, a locked gate, standing water – are listed rather than hidden.
How deep will radar see in Bharuch soil?
Depth reach is set by the ground, not by the machine. Moist clay and ground that holds salt absorb the radar signal quickly; dry, sandy soil lets it travel further. Along the Narmada and towards the coast near Dahej, moisture and salinity can both run higher, while made-up road fill in town behaves differently again.
For that reason we do not quote one depth figure for Bharuch. The report states, stretch by stretch, how deep the radar returned a usable signal, so a designer knows which readings to lean on and where a trial pit or borehole would add certainty. Our guide to south Gujarat soil and GPR explains these effects in more detail.
What will a Bharuch survey cost?
The rate card is the same wherever we work. A standard GPR route survey is ₹24 per metre, which comes to ₹24,000 for every kilometre. Choosing the L-section survey, which adds a depth profile of detected services along the route, raises it to ₹32 per metre. GST is added to every bill.
Bharuch orders face two floors. Length is billed at 4 km or more, and because Bharuch lies outside Delhi NCR, each project here costs ₹1,00,000 at minimum. Bigger orders earn a slab discount that reaches every metre — a Bharuch total beyond 100 km gets 25% off, beyond 500 km the saving is 40%, and once a Bharuch order runs past 1,000 km, its metres are discounted by 50%.
| Order | Working | Before GST |
|---|---|---|
| 2.5 km estate road, standard | Billed as 4 km = ₹96,000, then raised to the project floor | ₹1,00,000 |
| 9 km town cable route, standard | 9,000 m × ₹24 | ₹2,16,000 |
| 15 km feeder route with L-section | 15,000 m × ₹32 | ₹4,80,000 |
| 140 km district programme, standard | 1,40,000 m × ₹24, less 25% | ₹25,20,000 |
Mobilisation from Faridabad, night-shift working, traffic arrangements or permissions, and CAD/GIS drawing sets are not part of the metre rate; each is quoted separately where your job needs it. The full card sits on our GPR survey price list.
Which GPR scanning services in Bharuch fit your job?
- Cable route survey for new HT or LT feeders, with crossings and congested stretches covered in detail – see HT/LT cable route survey in Bharuch.
- L-section survey when the design needs the depths of existing services plotted along the route – see L-section survey in Bharuch.
- OFC duct route survey ahead of telecom duct laying, whether by trench or HDD.
- Plot and campus scans for factories and new buildings, where utility detection services in Bharuch are needed before foundations or yard trenches.
- Cable fault locating, a separate task from route survey, and boreholes or trial pits on request to confirm a find.
How do our crews reach Bharuch and the towns around it?
Bharuch jobs, like all our work, are mobilised from the Faridabad office and equipment yard. Those 58 GPR systems plus 18 HDD rigs is entirely company property, run by in-house crews, with nothing hired in or sub-let. Their tally over 23 years runs past 1.5 lakh km of survey in 28+ States and UTs, with open-corridor output peaking at 100 km in one day.
Bharuch sits between two industrial centres that have pages of their own: Ankleshwar across the river and Dahej towards the coast. Stretches in all three can go on one order, which shares a single mobilisation and brings the total closer to a discount slab. For the state-wide picture, see the Gujarat GPR survey hub.

Questions about GPR survey in Bharuch
Can you scan near the Narmada bridge approaches?
Yes, on land where the project owner or the road and rail authorities have given access. Bridge approaches usually hold several services squeezed together, so we tighten the scan spacing there and record each line separately. Where an embankment, guard rail or traffic stops the cart, the gap is noted in the report instead of being guessed.
Do you work inside the Dahej and Ankleshwar industrial areas?
We can, subject to the estate's or plant's own entry and safety rules. Industrial roads tend to carry process pipes, effluent lines and power cables close together, which calls for denser scanning and careful EM tracing. Please share any plant layout drawings you have, since they help us separate known lines from unrecorded ones.
Will the survey tell us who owns each cable?
Not directly. Radar and EM show where a line is, roughly how deep it lies and what kind of service it is likely to be. Ownership comes from the utility's own records or from a trial pit. Where a particular find matters to your design, we can open a trial pit on request to confirm it.
How much notice do you need before starting in Bharuch?
Lead time depends on crew availability and the size of your route. Once the alignment, access permissions and a confirmed order are in place, we plan the mobilisation from Faridabad and give you a start date. Large programmes can run day and night shifts on open corridors, with night working charged separately.
Is GST included in ₹24 per metre?
No. The ₹24 per metre standard rate and the ₹32 per metre L-section rate are both quoted before GST, which is added on the invoice at the applicable rate. The 4 km minimum and the ₹1,00,000 project floor for work outside Delhi NCR are also figures before tax.
Are you a DGVCL contractor?
No. Mezux Touch has no affiliation, empanelment or tie-up with DGVCL or any other distribution company. We are a private survey firm, hired by contractors, consultants and owners who need buried services located before their own work begins.
