Quick answer

Looking for a GPR survey company in Navsari? Mezux Touch covers Navsari district with in-house crews and owned radar, mobilised from Faridabad, tracing power cables, water and sewer lines, gas pipes and OFC ducts. Standard route survey is ₹24 a metre and L-section ₹32, with a 4 km billing minimum, a ₹1,00,000 project floor and GST extra.

Rates and page checked:

Operator pushing a radar survey cart beside the edge of a tarred road
A radar cart works the road shoulder where Navsari cable and duct routes usually run.
Diagram of a buried utility route crossing beneath a river or canal
River and nala crossings near the Purna are scanned on both banks before boring.
Soil cross-section showing radar signal weakening in wet clay layers
Coastal clay and monsoon moisture limit how deep radar sees on some Navsari stretches.
Road surface with colour-coded spray lines over detected underground utilities
Each detected line is marked in its utility colour for the excavation team.

What does a GPR survey company in Navsari do before you dig?

Ground penetrating radar sends pulses into the soil and records echoes from anything that differs from the ground around it. Electromagnetic (EM) locating adds a second check on metal cables and pipes. Used together, they let a GPR survey company in Navsari tell an excavation or boring crew where buried services lie, so the new line can be planned around them instead of through them.

On a typical route the crew looks for:

  • distribution cables at 11 kV and LT, plus street-lighting supply and earth conductors;
  • water supply mains and house connections, including plastic pipe;
  • sewers, storm-water drains and culverts;
  • telecom cables and OFC ducts laid by different operators;
  • gas lines and other metallic pipework.

Every find is painted or pegged on the surface and entered in a signed report with its approximate depth.

Where around Navsari is survey work usually needed?

Navsari is the district headquarters between Surat and Valsad in south Gujarat, and its buried-service work tends to cluster in a few kinds of ground:

  • Town streets, where older water and drainage lines share space with newer cables and ducts and records are often incomplete.
  • Crossings of the Purna river and of local nalas, which are frequently planned as HDD bores and need both banks scanned.
  • Rail-side land along the Mumbai–Ahmedabad railway line, which passes through Navsari, where cable and pipe routes have to cross or run parallel to the tracks.
  • Highway corridors on the NH 48 side of the district, where road-edge OFC and power routes are common.
  • Coastal villages towards Dandi, where distribution cabling and water schemes reach smaller settlements.

Distribution of electricity in this region is handled by DGVCL (Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Ltd., head office Surat), and much of the cable routing work here follows its network. For how Navsari sits alongside other Gujarat towns, see our Gujarat GPR survey hub.

How do coastal soil and moisture affect radar here?

Radar reach is never one figure for a whole district. It depends on what the soil is made of and how wet it is. Saturated clay and ground carrying salt absorb the signal quickly, while drier, sandier ground lets it travel further. Low-lying land nearer the coast and the heavy south Gujarat monsoon both push readings towards the shallow side.

That is why our report gives the depth actually achieved on each section rather than a single promise. Where a deep crossing matters to the design, it can be scheduled for a drier spell, and trial pits or boreholes can be opened on request to prove a level. The south Gujarat soil guide explains these ground effects in more detail.

What does a GPR survey in Navsari cost?

Survey work is charged by the metre of route. The standard rate is ₹24 per metre. For ₹32 per metre, the L-section version also plots how deep each detected service lies along the alignment. Orders below 4 km are charged as 4 km, and as Navsari falls outside Delhi NCR, a project there is never invoiced under ₹1,00,000. GST comes on top.

ExampleSurvey typeAmount before GST
3 km lane networkStandard₹1,00,000 (4 km works out to ₹96,000, under the floor)
6 km road-edge cable routeStandard₹1,44,000
6 km road-edge cable routeL-section₹1,92,000
120 km south Gujarat programmeStandard, 25% slab₹21,60,000

A Navsari order exceeding 100 km earns 25% off its full length; beyond 500 km the discount grows to 40%, and over 1,000 km the order is charged at half the card rate. Separately itemised on top: any CAD/GIS drawing set, permit work or traffic control, night shifts and mobilisation. The GPR survey price list sets out all of Navsari's slabs, which match every other city's.

Which survey options suit a Navsari project?

  • Route survey – positions and approximate depths along a planned cable, pipeline or duct alignment, marked on the ground.
  • L-section survey – the route survey plus a depth profile, for work orders or crossings that need one.
  • Site and plot scans – utility detection services in Navsari for building plots, school or hospital campuses and industrial yards before foundations or new connections.
  • Cable route work – distribution cable alignments and their crossings; our underground cable detection page covers the method.
  • OFC duct routes – road-shoulder and highway duct alignments; see OFC route GPR survey.
  • Cable fault locating – finding a damaged point on an existing cable, which is priced apart from any route survey.

How do our crews reach Navsari?

Every Navsari job starts at our Faridabad yard. The company owns 58 GPR systems and 18 HDD rigs, staffed by its own people, so no machine is rented and no part of the work goes to a sub-contractor. Having surveyed more than 1.5 lakh km by GPR in over 28 States/UTs, our planners treat a long road journey to site as routine.

Navsari sits on the same road and rail axis as Surat to the north and Valsad to the south, so stretches in these districts can share one mobilisation and add up towards a discount slab. We have no affiliation with DGVCL or any other DISCOM, and our findings belong to the client who commissions the survey.

What should you send for a quote?

  1. A KML file, route drawing or marked sketch, with the total length.
  2. What is being laid – cable, pipe, duct or a bore – and the survey clause from the work order.
  3. River, rail and highway crossings already shown on the design.
  4. Stretches with night-only or restricted working windows.
  5. Whether CAD or GIS drawing sets are expected, since they are quoted separately.

With these in hand we can return a quote and a programme for the route.

STEP 1

Share the alignment

Send the KML or drawing, the route length and any Purna, rail or highway crossings already planned in the design.

STEP 2

Get a priced programme

We return metre-rate pricing, the separate items and a programme, combining Surat or Valsad stretches where you have them.

STEP 3

Crew travels south

Owned radar systems and an in-house crew leave Faridabad on the agreed date, with no equipment hire involved.

STEP 4

Scan and trace

Radar lines and EM tracing cover the route, with closer passes at crossings, junctions and visible chambers or poles.

STEP 5

Marks and signed report

Finds are marked on the surface and the report states depth reached per section and any stretch left unscanned.

FAQ

Questions about GPR survey in Navsari

Can you survey a crossing of the Purna river?

Yes, as far as safe access allows. We scan the approach on both banks and the planned bore entry and exit areas, recording existing services and the depth radar could reach. Open water itself cannot be scanned with a ground cart, so the report states clearly where coverage stops.

Do you work beside the railway line in Navsari?

We can, after the project owner obtains railway consent for our crew to enter that strip. Scanning then covers the permitted strip and any planned crossing. Permissions and working windows are set by the railway, and arranging them is the owner's responsibility.

Will the ₹1,00,000 minimum apply to a small plot scan?

Yes. Navsari is outside Delhi NCR, so every project there is billed at least ₹1,00,000 before GST, even if the metre calculation comes to less. Grouping several sites or routes into one order is the simplest way to get full value from that minimum.

Is a survey worthwhile in the monsoon?

Route tracing and marking can continue in wet weather, but radar sees less deep when the ground is saturated, and waterlogged stretches may have to wait. For crossings where depth is critical, a drier spell usually gives a clearer result. Achieved depth is reported per section either way.

Can you find water pipes made of plastic?

Radar can detect HDPE and PVC pipes, which EM locating cannot, provided the pipe is large enough and the ground allows the signal through. Narrow plastic service pipes in soaked clay are difficult to pick up, so such finds carry a lower-confidence note in the report.

Do you have any tie-up with DGVCL?

No. Mezux Touch has no affiliation, approval or empanelment with DGVCL or any other DISCOM. Contractors and consultants on DGVCL-area work can order from us like any other client, and our findings go to them.
