Quick answer

Looking for a GPR survey company in Mehsana? Mezux Touch sends its own crews and radar from Faridabad to locate buried power cables, pipelines, water lines and telecom ducts before you trench or bore. Standard survey is ₹24 per metre and ₹32 with an L-section, on a 4 km minimum and a ₹1,00,000 project floor, plus GST.

Rates and page checked:

Ground penetrating radar cart being pushed along a road edge
A single cart pass across the route shows each buried line it crosses.
Electrical substation yard with outgoing underground cable routes drawn
Cables leaving a substation crowd together, so Mehsana feeder routes need close scan lines.
Industrial plant with buried pipes and cables shown beneath its yard
Process plants hide water, effluent and power lines under paved yards and roads.
Printed survey report pages with a utility plan and signatures
The Mehsana report records each find, its approximate depth and every unscanned stretch.

What does a GPR survey company in Mehsana check before you dig?

Before an excavator or HDD rig moves in, the job of a GPR survey company in Mehsana is to tell you what already lies along your route and roughly how deep. Radar picks up metal and plastic services alike, because it reacts to any material that contrasts with the soil. Electromagnetic locating runs alongside it to follow conductive lines and to pick out live power cables.

On a typical Mehsana route we look for:

  • 11 kV and LT distribution cables, service cables and street-light feeds;
  • steel and plastic pipelines, including oil and gas flowlines in rural stretches;
  • water mains, sewer lines and storm drains under town roads;
  • telecom cables and OFC ducts along road shoulders;
  • culverts, chambers and abandoned services left from earlier works.

Each detected line is marked on the surface and listed in the report. Pipe-focused scopes are described on our underground pipeline detection page.

What kind of underground work comes up around Mehsana?

Mehsana is a district headquarters in north Gujarat, and several kinds of buried networks meet here:

  • Power distribution. UGVCL, the state distribution company for north Gujarat, has its head office in Mehsana. Feeder extensions, cable laying and substation outlets mean frequent trenching near existing cables.
  • Oil and gas. Oil and gas fields operate in the district, so pipelines and flowlines cross farmland and village roads. Any new cable, water line or duct across that ground needs those lines located first.
  • Dairy and food processing. The district's dairy industry runs processing plants and collection centres, each with water, effluent, steam and power lines under its yards.
  • Rail and road links. Mehsana sits on the rail line between Ahmedabad and Palanpur, and the roads leading out of town carry utility corridors along their shoulders.

Mezux Touch has no affiliation with UGVCL or any other DISCOM; we work only for the client who places the order. The Gujarat GPR survey hub shows how the state's distribution areas are split.

How are pipeline and oilfield areas surveyed near Mehsana?

Open country with buried pipelines calls for a different plan from a town street. Our approach:

  1. Start from the operator's information. Pipeline owners usually mark their corridors with posts and hold route records. We ask the client to obtain whatever the operator will share and any access conditions they set.
  2. Scan wide across crossings. Where your cable or water line will cross a pipeline corridor, radar lines extend well beyond the expected position on both sides, because flowlines are not always where the markers suggest.
  3. Use EM where possible. Steel pipelines carrying cathodic protection often give a traceable signal, which helps confirm the radar picture.
  4. Leave confirmation to agreed methods. Where the operator requires physical exposure of its line, that is arranged under its own rules; we can open trial pits on request where permitted.

Permission to work on or near an operator's corridor is the client's responsibility, and any permit or traffic arrangement is charged outside the survey rate.

How deep does ground penetrating radar reach in Mehsana soil?

No honest surveyor can give one figure for the whole district. Radar depth depends on what the soil is made of and how much water it holds. Dry sandy ground lets the signal travel further, while wet clay or saline patches absorb it and cut the usable depth.

A ground penetrating radar survey in Mehsana that engineers can work with therefore records, section by section, how far the radar actually reached and where it could not see. Irrigated farmland after watering, freshly backfilled trenches and waterlogged roadside drains are typical stretches where depth falls. When a deeper service must be proved before design, we can dig trial pits or drill boreholes at the chosen points on request.

What are the GPR survey rates in Mehsana?

Mehsana billing runs per metre of route. A standard GPR survey costs ₹24 a metre, i.e. ₹24,000 a km; for ₹32 a metre you get the L-section survey, which profiles the depth of each service it finds. Short orders are charged as 4 km, and since Mehsana is outside Delhi NCR, every project there has a ₹1,00,000 floor. GST on top.

RouteSurvey typeCharge before GST
2.5 km plant access roadStandard₹1,00,000 (billed as 4 km, ₹96,000, then raised to the project floor)
12 km feeder cable routeStandard₹2,88,000
12 km feeder cable routeL-section₹3,84,000
120 km north Gujarat programmeStandard, 25% slab₹21,60,000

When a Mehsana order goes past a slab, the whole of it is discounted. Above 100 km the cut is 25%. It deepens to 40% over 500 km and to 50% over 1,000 km. That is why 120 km costs less than an undiscounted 100 km. Mobilisation from Faridabad is quoted separately, and so are night working, permissions and traffic arrangements, plus any CAD/GIS drawings ordered for Mehsana. Which survey options can a Mehsana project order?

  • Route survey – existing services along a planned cable, pipe or duct alignment, marked on the ground and reported.
  • L-section survey – the route survey plus a depth profile of detected services, for work orders that call for one.
  • Plant or plot scan – GPR scanning services in Mehsana for dairy units, factory yards and campuses, run as a grid before foundations, new connections or yard paving.
  • Crossing scans – focused coverage where a route meets a pipeline corridor, rail line, canal or main road, including HDD bore paths.
  • Cable fault locating – a separate task from route survey, with its own quote.
  • Trial pits and boreholes – on request, at points where a depth or identity must be proved.
  • Drawings – CAD or GIS drawing sets of the findings, quoted separately when the client needs them.

How do our crews reach Mehsana and nearby towns?

Each Mehsana project starts from our Faridabad base, home to 58 GPR systems and 18 HDD rigs that the company owns outright; our own staff run them, so nothing is hired locally and sub-letting never happens. Across 23 years and 28+ States and UTs, our radar survey record has passed 1.5 lakh km, which makes a long road move to north Gujarat a routine part of planning.

Since the crew travels anyway, it pays to combine stretches. Routes in Patan, Palanpur or Himmatnagar can share one mobilisation with Mehsana work, and the combined length decides the discount slab. Projects further south can be linked with Gandhinagar or Ahmedabad in the same way.

FAQ

Questions about GPR survey in Mehsana

Can you survey where our route crosses an oil or gas pipeline?

Yes, provided the pipeline operator allows work near its corridor and the client has arranged that access. We widen the radar coverage across the crossing, use EM tracing where the line carries a signal, and report the position and approximate depth found. Any physical exposure follows the operator's own rules.

Do we need UGVCL cable records before the survey starts?

They help but are not essential. Records show where to expect cables and highlight crowded stretches, but radar and EM locating respond to what is actually buried. If you can obtain any drawings from the utility or earlier contractors, share them; if not, the survey proceeds without them.

How do the 4 km minimum and the ₹1,00,000 minimum work together?

Both apply in Mehsana. A short job is first counted as 4 km, which at the standard rate is ₹96,000. Because that is still under the ₹1,00,000 project minimum for work outside Delhi NCR, the bill rises to ₹1,00,000. Longer jobs are simply charged at the metre rate.

Can a dairy or factory site be scanned while it keeps running?

Usually, yes. Radar is wheeled or carried over the surface, so production can continue. We agree scan areas and timings with the site team, avoid live loading bays during busy hours and mark findings in places that will not be driven over immediately.

Is Mezux Touch an approved UGVCL vendor?

No. We hold no approval, empanelment or affiliation with UGVCL or any other DISCOM. Contractors and consultants working on UGVCL-area jobs can order a survey from us directly, and our findings are reported to whoever placed the order.

Can you supply CAD or GIS drawings of what you find?

Yes. Drawing sets in CAD or GIS format can be prepared from the survey data when your client or consultant needs them. They are quoted as a separate item, outside the per-metre survey charge, so tell us the format and layer requirements when asking for the quote.
