Quick answer

Looking for a GPR survey company in Jamnagar? Before anyone digs in Jamnagar, Mezux Touch sends company crews with their own radar from Faridabad to find OFC ducts, power cables, drains and water lines. The Jamnagar rates: ₹24 a metre standard, ₹32 a metre L-section. Each Jamnagar order is billed on 4 km at least, each project on ₹1,00,000 at least, as the city is outside Delhi NCR, and GST is added.

Rates and page checked:

Survey crew member reviewing radar data on a rugged tablet
Radar lines are checked on site before the crew leaves each Jamnagar stretch.
Industrial estate with sheds, internal roads and buried service lines
Brass-parts estates squeeze cables, water lines and drains into narrow internal roads.
Technician using an electromagnetic locator to trace a buried cable
EM tracing confirms metal cables that the radar has already picked up.
Coloured paint marks on a road showing positions of buried services
Every service detected in Jamnagar is painted in its own utility colour.

What does a GPR survey company in Jamnagar actually locate?

Ahead of any trench or bore along Jamnagar's roads, one simple question needs an answer: what lies buried there already? As a GPR survey company in Jamnagar, we answer it with two tools used side by side. Radar pulses go down into the soil and bounce back off buried objects whatever they are made of, plastic pipes and empty ducts included. Electromagnetic locating then follows conductive lines such as power and telecom cables, which helps separate one cable from the next where several run together.

On a typical Jamnagar job the target list looks like this:

  • 11 kV and LT distribution cables, street-light feeds and earthing strips;
  • water mains and house connections, in metal and HDPE;
  • sewer lines, storm-water drains and their chambers;
  • OFC ducts and older copper telecom cables;
  • process and gas pipelines inside or next to industrial premises.

Findings are marked on the ground and written into a signed report. If your aim is simply to dig safely at known spots, our pre-excavation utility scanning service covers that scope.

Where in Jamnagar does buried-service survey work come up?

Jamnagar lies on the southern shore of the Gulf of Kutch, and its streets are looked after by the Jamnagar Municipal Corporation. Three kinds of ground account for most survey requests:

  • The brass-parts belt. The city is known across India for brass components, made in a large number of small and mid-sized units. Estate roads are narrow, and power, water and drainage lines share very little room, so a new cable or pipe needs a careful scan before it goes in.
  • The industrial zone west of the city. Large refinery complexes lie on that side, and the roads and land around such sites carry pipelines, HT cables and communication links. Work inside any plant follows the owner's own permit system; we scan only where the client has arranged entry.
  • City streets. Road upgrades, new water and sewer lines and OFC laying along municipal roads all disturb ground that already holds services belonging to several owners.

Our article on GPR survey in Gujarat industrial estates goes deeper into estate work.

How does coastal Saurashtra ground affect radar depth?

Depth reach is never a fixed number. It depends on what the soil is made of and how much water and salt it holds. Close to the coast, saline ground and wet clay soak up radar energy quickly, so the signal fades sooner; dry, sandy or gravelly ground lets it travel further. Along one Jamnagar route the conditions can change from compacted road fill to natural ground to a low patch that stays damp long after rain.

For that reason our report gives the depth the radar actually reached on each section and flags any stretch where returns were weak. Where a deep crossing has to be proven before design, trial pits or boreholes can be arranged on request. The ground background for this region is explained in our note on Saurashtra and Kutch soils.

What will a Jamnagar survey cost?

Our rate card charges by the metre of route surveyed. Standard GPR survey in Jamnagar is charged at ₹24 a metre, meaning ₹24,000 for every kilometre. Opt for the L-section, which adds a profile of the found services' depths along the route, and the charge rises to ₹32 a metre. Short Jamnagar jobs pay for 4 km even if the route is less. Jamnagar lies outside Delhi NCR, so a project here also has a floor of ₹1,00,000. GST is extra.

RouteSurvey typeBefore GST
2.5 km estate roadStandard₹1,00,000 (4 km = ₹96,000, raised to the project minimum)
7 km water main routeL-section₹2,24,000
12 km city OFC routeStandard₹2,88,000
150 km Saurashtra programmeStandard, 25% slab₹27,00,000

Larger Jamnagar programmes are discounted on their whole length. Past 100 km, the Saurashtra order loses a quarter of its per-metre price; past 500 km, 40%; and once it tops 1,000 km, 50%. So a 101 km Jamnagar order (₹18,18,000) comes out cheaper than one stopping at 100 km (₹24,00,000). Travel from Faridabad, night working, traffic control with its permissions, and any CAD/GIS drawings for Jamnagar are separate quoted items. The full slab table sits on the GPR survey price list.

Which services can a Jamnagar project order?

  • Route survey – positions and approximate depths of existing services along a planned cable, pipe or duct alignment, with ground marking.
  • L-section survey – the route survey plus a depth profile; see L-section survey in Jamnagar.
  • HT/LT cable route survey – for distribution cabling and its road crossings; see Jamnagar cable route survey.
  • Plot and yard scans – utility detection services in Jamnagar for factory plots, workshop yards or campuses ahead of foundations or new connections.
  • Fault locating – finding a cable fault is a different job from route survey and is priced on its own.
  • Trial pits and boreholes – on request, at the points where a depth must be confirmed.

How do our crews get to Jamnagar, and who do they work for?

Our Faridabad yard is where every crew and system sets out from. Mezux Touch owns outright each of its 58 GPR systems, and its 18 HDD rigs too, and they are operated by its own employees, so nothing on a Jamnagar job is hired or handed to a sub-contractor. Those same teams, working for 23 years in 28+ States and UTs, now have a survey log passing 1.5 lakh km, and where an open corridor could be worked through day and night shifts, output has touched 100 km in one day.

Jamnagar jobs are often combined with routes in Rajkot, Morbi or Porbandar, so one mobilisation covers more length and the order reaches a discount slab sooner. Electricity distribution across Saurashtra and Kutch is the responsibility of PGVCL, whose head office is in Rajkot. Mezux Touch has no affiliation with PGVCL or with any other DISCOM; our duty is only to the contractor, consultant or owner who places the order. Other towns appear on our Gujarat GPR survey page.

TIP 1

Arrange plant access early

Refinery-side and factory sites run their own permit systems, so ask the owner for entry passes before our crew is booked.

TIP 2

Send one combined route

Put Jamnagar, Rajkot and Morbi stretches in a single file so the total length decides the discount slab.

TIP 3

Share any old records

Even rough drawings from the corporation or plant owners show where to scan most closely in crowded estate roads.

TIP 4

Avoid the wettest weeks

Saturated coastal ground cuts radar reach, so schedule deep crossings for a drier spell where the programme allows.

TIP 5

Dig soon after marking

Paint and pegs fade or get moved on working roads, so plan excavation to follow shortly after the survey crew.

FAQ

Questions about GPR survey in Jamnagar

Can you survey inside a refinery or large plant near Jamnagar?

Yes, where the plant owner grants access and the client arranges the work permit. Such sites follow strict safety procedures, so our crew works within the owner's permit-to-work system and timings. We scan only the areas we are cleared to enter, and the report records any zone we were not allowed into.

Are brass-parts estate roads too narrow for a GPR cart?

Usually not. A radar cart needs roughly the width of a footpath, and lines can be run along road edges and between parked vehicles. Where trucks and stock block a lane, we agree working hours with the estate or unit owners. Any section we could not reach is listed in the report, never skipped silently.

Does a 4 km order in Jamnagar cost ₹96,000?

Not quite. Four kilometres at ₹24 a metre is ₹96,000, but projects outside Delhi NCR carry a ₹1,00,000 floor, so the survey line on the bill becomes ₹1,00,000. Mobilisation, any other separately quoted items and GST are then added to that figure.

Do you work for PGVCL in Jamnagar?

No. We hold no order, approval or empanelment from PGVCL or any other distribution company. Contractors and consultants carrying out cabling work in the PGVCL area can hire us directly, and our findings go to them as our client.

Can the survey separate an old abandoned cable from a live one?

Partly. EM locating responds strongly to a cable carrying current or one we can connect a signal to, while radar shows live and dead lines as similar reflections. Where the difference matters, the report flags the line as unconfirmed, and a trial pit can be dug on request to check it.

What do you need to start a Jamnagar quote?

Send the route as a KML file or marked drawing, its total length, what is being laid and whether an L-section is required. Mention crossings, plant or estate entry requirements and preferred dates. With that, we can return a quote listing the survey amount and every separately charged item.
