What does a GPR survey company in Anand do before you dig?
A contractor usually calls us at one particular moment: the trench or bore is planned, the work order is issued, and nobody is sure what already lies under the road. As a GPR survey company in Anand's work area, our job is to answer that question on the ground, metre by metre, before a bucket or drill head goes in.
A ground penetrating radar survey in Anand sends short radio pulses into the soil and records the echoes from anything that differs from the surrounding ground – a cable sheath, a pipe wall, a duct bank, a backfilled trench. The operator reads those echoes on screen, confirms each line with a second pass or an electromagnetic locator, and only then marks it on the surface.
The output is practical rather than academic: paint marks your excavator operator can follow, a written record of what was found where, and a clear note of the stretches that could not be scanned, so nobody treats them as clear.
Which Anand locations need the most care?
Anand sits on the busy stretch between Vadodara and Ahmedabad and is the headquarters of its district. That position brings very different ground conditions within a short drive:
- The town core and market roads – older water and drainage lines, service cables to shops and homes, and years of repeated road cutting, all inside narrow carriageways.
- Vallabh Vidyanagar and the campuses – Anand Agricultural University and the colleges at Vallabh Vidyanagar have internal power, water and data networks laid in phases, often without one combined drawing.
- Dairy and food processing premises – Anand is known as the home of Amul, and large dairy sites run process water, effluent, steam and earthing lines close to their power cables.
- NH-48 and the Ahmedabad–Mumbai rail line – crossings of the highway and the railway are where an HDD bore is most likely and where a clean survey record matters most.
- The Borsad side – Borsad is among the areas named in 2026 reports on MGVCL underground and covered-conductor work, so cable routes on its rural and semi-urban roads are likely to need surveys.
Each of these is scanned with a different grid and pace, and the programme in our quote reflects that.
Why is underground cabling growing in central Gujarat?
MGVCL is the distribution company for central Gujarat, with its head office in Vadodara and seven districts in its area, Anand among them. In March 2020 its underground line length was only 0.114 times its overhead length (Power Line, Aug 2021) – put simply, most of the network was still on poles.
That balance is shifting. In August and October 2026, listed contractors reported large MGVCL orders for converting 11 kV overhead lines to covered conductor and for building underground networks, with Borsad, Nadiad City and Baroda among the areas mentioned. Every underground stretch of that kind needs the existing services along it identified first. Our article on why GPR survey comes first on MGVCL cabling explains the sequence.
Mezux Touch has no affiliation with MGVCL. We offer survey services directly to contractors, consultants and private site owners.
Which methods do our crews use on Anand sites?
Our utility detection services in Anand combine more than one method, because no single instrument finds everything:
- 2D GPR lines along and across the route – the standard method for cables, pipes and ducts, metallic or not.
- 3D or high-resolution GPR where several services bunch together, such as plant gates and road junctions.
- Electromagnetic (EM) locating to follow conductive cables and metal pipes by their signal and to cross-check what the radar shows.
- Ground marking in utility colours, with approximate depth written beside each line.
- Boreholes or trial pits on request, where a design decision needs a physical check.
Radar reach here depends on soil and moisture. Wet clay and saline patches cut it down; dry, sandy ground helps. We do not quote one figure for the whole town – the report states the depth actually achieved, section by section. For water and sewer work, see our page on underground pipeline detection. Cable fault locating is also available, but it is a separate task from route survey and is priced on its own.
How much do GPR scanning services in Anand cost?
The rate card does not change by town: ₹24 per metre for a standard survey and ₹32 per metre when you need an L-section, which adds a depth profile of detected services along the route. The smallest order is 4 km; shorter jobs are billed as 4 km. Because Anand lies outside Delhi NCR, a ₹1,00,000 per-project minimum also applies. GST is added on the invoice.
| Example order | Rate applied | Amount before GST |
|---|---|---|
| 2.5 km campus scan, standard | Billed as 4 km at ₹24/m = ₹96,000 | ₹1,00,000 (project minimum) |
| 18 km feeder route, standard | ₹24/m | ₹4,32,000 |
| 18 km feeder route, L-section | ₹32/m | ₹5,76,000 |
| 120 km district package, standard | 25% off, ₹18/m | ₹21,60,000 |
For an Anand order of real size, every metre is discounted: 25% once Anand lengths exceed 100 km, 40% when Anand work passes 500 km and half (50%) above 1,000 km. Anand quotes list, outside the metre rate, CAD/GIS drawings, mobilisation, night shifts and traffic arrangements with permissions, each quoted separately. The full slab table is printed on our GPR survey price list .
How does a survey in Anand get scheduled and delivered?
Crews and radar systems travel from our Faridabad yard. We own 58 GPR systems and run our own field teams, so an Anand job does not wait for a hired unit or a sub-contractor. Send the route as a KML or a marked drawing, tell us the date your excavation crew wants to start, and we return a quote with a field programme.
On site the team scans, verifies and marks. Afterwards you receive a survey report listing each detected line, the depth reached on each section and any no-access stretches. Drawings, CAD/GIS layers and L-sections can be provided too, priced as noted above.
For cable-specific scopes, see the HT/LT cable route survey in Anand and the Anand L-section GPR survey. The wider state picture is on our Gujarat GPR survey page, and Kheda district work is covered on the Nadiad page.

Combine sites into one order
A campus scan in Vallabh Vidyanagar and a road route near Borsad can share one mobilisation and count toward the same order length.
Cross 100 km for 25% off
Once a single order passes 100 km, every metre drops from ₹24 to ₹18, so 101 km actually costs less than 100 km.
Measure the route first
A KML or marked plan gives the true length, so your quote is not padded to cover an uncertain distance.
Decide on L-section early
If the work order needs a depth profile, order the ₹32/m L-section from the start instead of paying for a return visit.
Plan around daytime working
Night-shift working is charged separately, so keep open-road stretches in the daytime programme wherever traffic conditions allow it.
Know the floor price
Outside Delhi NCR the project minimum is ₹1,00,000, so small Anand jobs work out cheapest when grouped with other nearby work.

Questions about GPR survey in Anand
Is there a GPR survey company near me in Anand?
Mezux Touch has no office in Anand. Our crews and radar systems travel from Faridabad, Haryana, and arrive as a self-contained team with company-owned equipment. To book, call +91 99100 10209 or email kumar@mezux.in with your route and dates, and we reply with a quote and a field programme.
Can you scan inside a dairy or food plant campus?
Yes. Inside an operating plant we follow the site's permit and induction rules, scan on a tighter grid near process areas, and report probable process, effluent and steam lines as their own category. Restricted zones we are not allowed to enter are listed in the report rather than left blank.
How deep will the radar see around Anand?
It depends on the ground on the day. Dry, sandy soil lets the signal travel further; wet clay and saline patches shorten it. We do not promise one figure for the whole town. Instead, each section of the report carries its own achieved depth, so your designer knows exactly where the record stops.
Do we have to close the road for the survey?
Usually not fully. The radar cart moves at walking pace along one side, and many roads can be scanned with cones and a flag-man. Where a lane closure, police help or a permission is needed, those traffic arrangements sit outside the metre rate and are quoted separately.
Is the ₹1,00,000 minimum charged on top of the metre rate?
No. It is a floor, not an extra. If your order at ₹24 or ₹32 per metre comes to less than ₹1,00,000, the bill is raised to that amount. If the metre charge is already higher, you simply pay the metre charge. GST is added in both cases.
Can you find a fault on an existing cable in Anand?
Yes, we do cable fault locating, but it is a different task from mapping a route. Share the cable type, voltage, approximate length and the symptoms reported, and we will explain what the job involves and quote it separately from any route survey.
