L-Section GPR Survey in Godhra

See your Godhra cable route from the side: an L-section survey shows each buried service we detect at its depth along the alignment, so crossings and bores can be planned with fewer guesses.

Quick answer

An L-section GPR survey in Godhra records the buried services along a proposed cable route and presents them as a depth profile, showing what lies under the alignment from start to end. It costs ₹32 per metre at Mezux Touch, minimum 4 km, GST extra, with 25–50% off the whole order above 100 km.

Rates and page checked:

Field engineer checking a radar profile on a tablet at a roadside
Profiles are checked on site so gaps can be rescanned before the crew leaves.
Side-view diagram of a cable route with buried services at varying depths
A side view of the route shows which services sit above or below the new cable.
Illustration of an underground cable route passing beneath a canal
Crossings are where a depth profile matters most for bore planning.
Printed survey report pages with tables and a route profile
The profile is issued together with the written survey report.

What does an L-section GPR survey in Godhra add to a route survey?

A route survey gives a plan view: where each buried line runs, marked on the ground and listed in a report. An L-section GPR survey in Godhra adds the side view. Along the full length of the proposed cable, every service the radar detects is placed at its approximate depth, so your engineer can see at a glance whether the new cable passes over it, under it or needs a different route.

Nothing about the ground marks or the report changes compared with our Godhra HT/LT cable route survey; the profile is what you add. More on the method is on our L-section GPR survey service page.

Where does GPR profiling in Godhra pay off?

The profile costs one third more than a standard survey, so it is worth ordering where depth decisions come up often:

  • Roads towards Vadodara and Dahod, where culverts, drains and roadside ducts sit at varying levels and a cable must clear each one.
  • Railway crossings near the junction, where the depth of services on the approaches decides how deep a bore must start.
  • Substation exits, where outgoing cables leave at different depths and a new cable has to be threaded between them.
  • Older town streets with water, drainage and LT lines stacked in a narrow width.
  • Stony stretches, where depth readings vary and a continuous profile shows the pattern better than spot readings.

How is a cable route L-section drawing for Godhra used?

Designers use it to set the cable level and to spot stretches where the planned depth clashes with an existing service. Drilling teams use it to choose entry and exit points and bore depth at crossings; our guide to HDD crossing surveys in Gujarat covers that step. Site supervisors keep it alongside the ground marks while excavating, and many contractors place it in the project file submitted to the client. The article on L-section drawings for DISCOM cable work explains why scopes in Gujarat often ask for one. Mezux Touch is not affiliated with MGVCL or any DISCOM.

What can an L-section not show?

It shows only what the radar detected. Below the depth the signal reached on a stretch, the profile is left blank, and the report gives that depth so nobody mistakes it for clear ground. Depth reach changes with soil and moisture: dry, sandy ground helps, while wet clay or saline ground reduces it, and stony fill makes small lines harder to separate. Very small or closely bunched services can be missed. Where a design decision rests on a single crossing, a trial pit is the final check, and we arrange pits or boreholes on request.

How much does an L-section survey in Godhra cost?

Every metre is charged at ₹32, which is ₹32,000 for each km, with GST on top. Examples:

  • 8 km of feeder route: ₹2,56,000, comfortably above the ₹1,00,000 minimum that applies outside Delhi NCR.
  • 60 km across several Panchmahal routes: ₹19,20,000.
  • 520 km in one order: the 40% slab cuts each metre to ₹19.20, giving ₹99,84,000.

The 4 km minimum still applies to very short jobs, and the 25% slab starts above 100 km and the 50% slab above 1,000 km. The per-metre figure leaves out mobilisation, night working, traffic management or permissions and any CAD/GIS drawing set; each is priced as its own line. See the price list for the full card.

What should you send for a Godhra L-section quote?

A useful request has four parts:

  • the final cable alignment as KML or a marked drawing, with any branches shown;
  • the route length and the voltage of the cable to be laid;
  • the clause from your work order that describes the survey and the profile;
  • locations of planned bores, substation or plant entry points and any roads limited to night work.

Send these to kumar@mezux.in or call +91 99100 10209. The written quote follows with the rate, any slab discount and the separately priced items, along with a field programme for the crew travelling from Faridabad.

Do you also need a land survey for underground electrical cabling in Godhra?

Often, yes, because the two answer different questions. A land survey fixes the route on the surface: boundaries, levels and features such as kerbs and poles. The GPR L-section describes what lies beneath that route. We carry out the subsurface part and work with whatever alignment your land surveyor has set. For other survey work in and around the town, see our GPR survey in Godhra page.

TIP 1

Freeze the alignment

The profile follows one line, so confirm the final cable path with your client before the crew is mobilised to Godhra.

TIP 2

List planned bores

Mark every intended HDD crossing on the route drawing so the crew gives those approaches extra radar passes.

TIP 3

Note substation access

If the cable starts inside a substation or plant, arrange entry permission early so the profile can begin at the true start.

TIP 4

Plan night stretches

Busy roads may need night working, which is charged separately; flag them so the programme and quote reflect it.

TIP 5

Budget a few trial pits

Keep trial pits ready for crossings the report marks as uncertain; they settle the questions radar cannot answer alone.

One visit for plan and profile

Ordering the L-section from the start means the route survey and profile come from the same field days.

Honest advice on scope

If your route has few crossings and no clause asks for a profile, we will point you to the ₹24 standard survey.

Owned equipment, steady pricing

Every radar system we deploy belongs to us, so equipment hire never inflates the Godhra figure.

FAQ

Questions about L-section surveys in Godhra

Who usually needs an L-section survey in Godhra?

Contractors whose cabling scope asks for a depth record of existing services, designers planning routes with many crossings, and drilling teams preparing bores under roads, drains or the railway. If none of these apply to your route, the standard survey at ₹24 per metre may be enough, and we will tell you so.

How much is a 4 km L-section survey in Godhra?

Four kilometres at ₹32 per metre comes to ₹1,28,000 before GST. That is already above the ₹1,00,000 per-project minimum for sites outside Delhi NCR, so the minimum does not change the figure. Separately quoted items, such as mobilisation, are added where they apply.

Are CAD drawings included with the L-section?

No. The depth profile is issued with the survey report, but CAD and GIS drawing sets are not part of the per-metre rate. If your client wants them, mention it when asking for a quote and they will be priced as a separate line.

Can the survey be carried out at night on busy roads?

Yes. Where a road can only be worked at night, the crew can work night shifts. Night-shift working is charged separately from the ₹32 per metre rate, and any traffic arrangements needed for safe working are also quoted on their own.

Does the L-section show the layers of the road itself?

No. The L-section focuses on buried services along the cable route. Investigating road layers, voids under the pavement or road structure is a different survey with its own scope. If you need both, tell us and we will plan them together.

How reliable is the profile on stony ground?

Stony fill and gravel make radar records busier, so small services are harder to separate and depth reach may vary along the route. The crew adds scan lines on such stretches, and the report says where confidence is lower. Trial pits are the best way to confirm critical points there.
