An electric cable route GPR survey in Halol locates each existing buried service on the line of your planned HT or LT cable – parallel lines, crossings and their depths – before trenching or HDD starts. Rates: ₹24 per metre, or ₹32 with an L-section; 4 km and ₹1,00,000 minimums; GST extra.

What does an electric cable route GPR survey in Halol cover?
An electric cable route GPR survey in Halol looks at one strip of ground: the line your new HT or LT cable will follow, plus enough width on either side to allow the alignment to shift. Inside that strip we find each existing service, fix its position against your route and note its depth at measured points.
The purpose is twofold. Your cabling crew should be able to trench or drill without striking a live cable, a water main or a telecom duct, and your designer should be able to move the alignment before work begins if a stretch turns out too congested. Contractors looking for a power cable mapping company in Halol usually need more than a list of lines; they need findings tied to the exact route they have to build.
Why are feeder routes into Halol GIDC harder to clear?
New HT feeders into the estate rarely pass through empty ground. Approach roads already hold plant cables, earlier feeders, estate water lines, storm-water drains and telecom ducts serving the units, and every factory entry adds its own cluster where the cable turns in.
- Parallel runs: an existing HT cable along the same road edge is common, and the new cable has to keep a working separation from it.
- Plant boundary crossings: where the route enters a unit, scanning continues inside only with the plant's permission and an escort.
- Drain and culvert crossings: masonry drains beside estate roads must be crossed, and their depth decides whether the cable passes under or over.
- Substation approaches: the final stretch into a substation or switching yard tends to be the most crowded of all.
HT cable route mapping in Halol therefore needs a closer scan grid at plant gates and junctions than along open road. Our main Halol GPR survey page explains how estate and town work is planned overall.
How does underground electrical line tracing work on site?
Underground electrical line tracing in Halol relies on two methods used together:
- Electromagnetic locating. A live cable gives off a signal a receiver can follow; where a transmitter can be clamped to a cable or its sheath, the trace becomes stronger and more certain. EM gives a dependable plan position and an estimated depth for conductive lines.
- Ground penetrating radar. Radar picks up cables too, and also the non-metal services EM cannot sense – PVC and HDPE pipes, empty ducts and masonry drains. Each service shows as a reflection whose top marks its depth.
Where both methods agree, the line is recorded with higher confidence; where only one sees it, the report says which. Pinpointing a fault on a damaged cable is a distinct job, priced on its own. For the method in general, read our service page on HT/LT cable route surveys.
Which crossings need their own record on a Halol cable route?
A crossing is where the cable either drops deeper or switches to a bore, so each one is scanned separately with lines both along and across it:
- the Vadodara–Halol road and any junction where the cable must cross the carriageway;
- estate main roads and the entries into individual factories;
- drains, nalas and culverts along the alignment;
- any pipeline or existing HT cable corridor that the new cable has to cut across.
When a crossing is planned as an HDD bore, the bore line and both pit areas are scanned during the same visit. This step is explained further in our guide to bore crossings under Gujarat roads and canals. Traffic arrangements and permissions for working on a carriageway are billed apart from the survey rate.
Standard route survey or L-section – which does your cabling scope need?
The standard survey at ₹24 per metre gives existing services in plan, marked on the ground, with depth at measured points. At ₹32 per metre the L-section survey also plots how deep every detected service runs along your route, which some cabling work orders require the contractor to submit. If yours does, order it at the outset rather than adding it later; see our L-section GPR survey page for Halol.
Much of the cabling now planned in central Gujarat follows MGVCL's shift away from overhead lines towards buried and covered-conductor networks, which our article on MGVCL underground cabling and GPR survey explains. Mezux Touch has no tie-up with MGVCL or any DISCOM; the survey is done for the contractor or consultant who orders it.
What does a Halol cable route survey cost?
Billing is by route length, with GST added to every figure below:
| Route | Survey type | Billed amount |
|---|---|---|
| 3 km LT route in town | Standard | ₹1,00,000 (billed as 4 km, then the outside-NCR project minimum) |
| 6 km HT feeder into the estate | Standard, ₹24/m | ₹1,44,000 |
| Same 6 km feeder | L-section, ₹32/m | ₹1,92,000 |
| 150 km across several central Gujarat towns | Standard, 25% slab | ₹27,00,000 |
The discount rises to 40% once an order exceeds 500 km and to 50% beyond 1,000 km, always on every metre of the order. None of these amounts includes mobilisation, night working, traffic arrangements or CAD/GIS drawing sets. Full slabs are on the price list.

Get HT/LT Cable Route Survey in Halol at Best Prices
Pay only for route length
The cable route is billed per metre of alignment surveyed, with no separate charge for each crossing or plant gate on the way.
Order L-section once
Taking the ₹32 per metre L-section from the start avoids a second visit and a second mobilisation when the client asks for profiles.
Group feeders into one order
Several feeders in Halol and nearby towns, ordered together, can cross 100 km and earn 25% off every metre.
Own crews, own locators
Radar systems and EM locators are ours and run by in-house staff, so the rate carries no hire charge or sub-contractor margin.
Survey before design is frozen
Scanning early lets the designer shift the alignment on paper, which costs far less than rerouting a trench after a strike.
Separate items shown clearly
Mobilisation, night working, traffic management and drawing sets are shown individually, so you see exactly what the metre rate covers.
Cable Route Survey Rates in Halol – October 2026
| Service | Up to 100 km | Above 100 km (25% off) | Above 500 km (40% off) | Above 1,000 km (50% off) |

Questions about HT/LT cable route survey in Halol
What does an electric grid underground survey in Halol involve?
It is a scan of the ground along a planned underground power line, locating existing cables, earthing, pipes, drains and ducts that the new work must avoid or cross. We use radar and EM locating, mark every line at ground level with a rough depth, and issue a signed report showing coverage and the stretches we could not reach.
Can you trace a cable that is not live?
A dead cable gives off no signal for passive EM detection, so we either connect a transmitter to an exposed end or sheath, or rely on radar to pick it up. Both approaches can work, but the confidence level is lower than for a live cable traced with two methods, and the report states which applied.
How wide a strip do you scan along the cable route?
The width is agreed with you in the quote. It must be enough to allow the alignment to move if a stretch is congested, and it is widened at junctions, plant entries and substation approaches where services converge. Tell us how much room the designer has, and we plan the scan lines to suit.
Do you also find the fault in a damaged cable?
We do carry out cable fault locating, though it sits apart from route survey work. A route survey finds where services are; fault locating pinpoints a break or insulation failure along one known cable. If you need both on a Halol job, mention it, and the two are quoted as separate items.
Can the survey be done before the work order is final?
Yes, and it often helps, because the designer can adjust the alignment before anything is fixed. If the final scope later requires an L-section, tell us at the start so the field work captures depth continuously. Any new stretches added after a route change are scanned and billed by their length.
Who arranges shutdowns or permits inside plants?
The plant or your client arranges shutdowns, isolations and work permits; our crews follow them. We work to our ISO 45001:2018 safety system, attend the plant's induction, and need an escort who can confirm which cables are live. Where scanning must wait for a shutdown day, the programme is built around that date.
