Why order a GPR survey in Savli GIDC (Manjusar), Vadodara?
Savli GIDC, around Manjusar to the north-east of Vadodara, is a newer estate built for large manufacturing units. Plots are big, internal roads are long, and many plants are built in phases. That changes the survey problem. There are fewer decades of buried history than in the city's older estates, but there is plenty that was laid quickly during construction and never drawn properly.
A GPR survey in Savli GIDC (Manjusar), Vadodara is usually ordered at one of these points:
- before a second or third phase is built beside a running first phase;
- before an HT feeder, pipeline or fibre duct is laid along estate roads;
- before a road, drain or boundary wall is rebuilt or widened;
- before a new tank, silo, chimney or heavy-equipment foundation.
For approvals and ground conditions across the district, see our main Vadodara GPR survey page.
What turns up under a newer estate plot?
Construction leaves its own layer. Temporary power cables, construction-water lines and site drains are often buried in a hurry, then left in place when the plant is commissioned. Some are abandoned; some quietly become permanent. Alongside them sit the services that were designed:
- HT and LT cables from the plant substation to production blocks;
- cable ductbanks and precast trenches at road crossings;
- firewater mains and hydrant branches;
- storm-water drains, which on large plots can be long and deep;
- process water, effluent and, on some sites, gas lines;
- earthing grids around substations and structures.
Phase-one as-built drawings help, but they rarely show temporary works or later field changes. We treat them as a starting point and confirm each line on the ground, noting where the drawing and the field result do not match.
How does underground utility mapping in Savli GIDC (Manjusar) work on large plots?
Underground utility mapping in Savli GIDC (Manjusar) often covers kilometres rather than metres, so planning matters. We split the plot into survey blocks matched to your construction phases and run radar grids over areas to be excavated and radar lines along routes to be trenched. EM locating follows metallic lines and live cables across the blocks.
Areas that will stay unpaved and untouched need no scanning, so we agree coverage with your projects team instead of blanket-scanning the whole plot; that keeps quantity, and cost, tied to real excavation.
Because Mezux Touch owns 58 GPR systems, more than one system can be put on a large site when the programme needs it. Our peak of 100 km a day was achieved on open corridors with day and night shifts; inside a working plant, with permits, traffic and obstructions, daily output is far lower, and we plan your programme on the real site conditions. Radar in the district's alluvium with moderate clay typically reaches 2.5 to 3.5 metres in open ground, and the report gives the reach achieved block by block. More about our equipment is on the fleet page.
Cable detection in Savli GIDC (Manjusar) for HT feeders
Cable detection in Savli GIDC (Manjusar) is most often part of a feeder job: a new HT cable from a supply point or estate substation to a plant, or an internal feeder to a new block. The route survey records every existing service found along the alignment and each crossing with its depth at measured points. When the cabling scope calls for it, the L-section option, priced at ₹32 per metre, also plots how deep those detected services sit along the length of the feeder.
Underground distribution work is growing in central Gujarat. In August and October 2026, listed contractors reported large MGVCL orders for converting 11 kV overhead lines to covered conductor and building underground networks. Mezux Touch is not affiliated with MGVCL or any DISCOM; we survey for contractors and plant owners who need buried services found before cabling. See our HT/LT cable route survey and L-section GPR survey in Vadodara pages.
How is a Savli GIDC survey priced?
Billing follows survey length. Some examples, all before GST:
| Job | Rate | Billed |
|---|---|---|
| 3 km plot scan (billed as 4 km, project minimum applies) | ₹24/m | ₹1,00,000 |
| 6 km feeder route, standard | ₹24/m | ₹1,44,000 |
| 6 km feeder route with L-section | ₹32/m | ₹1,92,000 |
A 3 km job at 4 km billing would be ₹96,000, but sites outside Delhi NCR are never billed below the ₹1,00,000 project minimum. Whole-order discounts start once an order goes above 100 km, which a single estate rarely reaches but a district-wide cabling programme can. On top of these figures come any mobilisation, night shifts, traffic management or permits, and CAD/GIS drawing work, each priced separately. If you also have work at Halol, combining both in one visit can save mobilisation. Our price list has the full card.

Survey whole phases, not single pits
One order covering a full expansion phase costs far less per metre than repeated small jobs that each hit the project minimum.
Share phase-one as-builts
Existing drawings and cable schedules help us plan coverage, cutting field days on large plots without reducing what is checked.
Choose the profile per route
Pay the ₹32 L-section rate only on routes where a depth profile is required, and the ₹24 rate elsewhere.
Link the trip with Halol work
Plants with sites in both estates can share mobilisation from Faridabad by scheduling the two surveys back to back.
Keep work to daylight hours
Large plots usually allow daytime access to every block, which keeps separately charged night-shift working off the bill.
Ask about long-programme discounts
Contractors with district-wide cabling should check the slabs: an order above 100 km gets 25% off every metre.

Questions about GPR survey in Savli GIDC (Manjusar)
Our plant is new – why would we need a utility survey?
Because construction leaves services that are not on any final drawing: temporary cables, construction-water lines and drains, plus field changes made during commissioning. A plant only a few years old can already have buried lines no one in the current team remembers. A survey before the next phase finds them while changing the layout is still cheap.
Can several radar systems work on one large site?
Yes. We own 58 GPR systems, so a large plot or a long route can be given more than one system and crew when the programme needs it, subject to availability when the order is confirmed. Each crew covers its own blocks and the results are combined into one report.
Can you scan ahead of piling?
We can clear the area around each pile position of shallow services within radar reach, which protects the pile rig and the first metres of boring. Piles go much deeper than radar can see, so the survey does not describe ground at pile toe level. Where that matters, boreholes or trial pits are the right check.
Do you survey the route from the estate substation to our plot?
Yes. That route usually runs along estate roads and crosses drains and other plots' services, so it needs a proper route survey with crossings recorded. Road-owner permission and any traffic arrangements are your side or your contractor’s, and they are billed apart from our survey rate.
Can a Savli job be combined with work in Halol?
Yes. If your group or contractor has excavation planned in both places, scheduling the two surveys back to back lets one mobilisation from Faridabad serve both. Each site still has its own scope and report, and the commercial terms are agreed when we quote.
What do you need from us to quote?
The plot or route location, a plan showing areas and routes to be scanned, approximate lengths, the type and depth of excavation planned, whether an L-section is needed and your target dates. Any as-built drawings help. With these we can confirm quantity and price before a crew is scheduled.
