Mezux Touch is a GPR survey company in Veraval's reach rather than in the town itself: our own crews bring company-owned radar from Faridabad to trace cables, pipes and drains under harbour roads, plots and streets towards Somnath. Rates are ₹24 per metre standard and ₹32 for L-section, with a 4 km and ₹1,00,000 minimum and GST extra.

Why hire a GPR survey company in Veraval before digging?
Opening a road blind in a crowded coastal town is how cables get cut and water lines burst. Hiring a GPR survey company in Veraval before excavation gives your crew a map of what is already buried, so trenches and bores can be placed around existing services instead of through them.
Our survey combines:
- Ground penetrating radar for metal and plastic services, drains, chambers and voids;
- Electromagnetic (EM) locating for conductive power and telecom cables;
- On-site marking in utility colours with approximate depth;
- A signed report recording positions, depth reach and gaps in coverage.
Cable-focused work is covered on our underground cable detection page, and plot or trench checks on the pre-excavation scanning page.
Where does underground work happen in and around Veraval?
Veraval is the headquarters of Gir Somnath district and one of Gujarat's major fishing ports, with the Somnath temple next to the town. Those three roles produce distinct kinds of survey work:
Harbour and fish-processing areas
Roads around the fishing harbour and the processing and cold-storage units nearby carry power cables, water supply and drainage serving those premises. Such roads see constant loading traffic, so the dig must be short and the services known beforehand.
District headquarters streets
As the district seat, the town sees regular cable, water and drainage work under its older streets, where records of past work are often incomplete.
The Somnath side
Streets between Veraval and Somnath carry heavy visitor traffic. Survey and excavation there usually need to be planned around crowds, under whatever permissions the local authorities set for the project.
Drains running towards the sea
In a coastal town, storm-water drains and culverts generally carry run-off towards the shore, so new cable and pipe routes cross them often. We record each culvert and drain line we detect, letting the designer decide early whether a new service goes over, under or around it, rather than discovering it once the trench is open.
How does coastal ground change a ground penetrating radar survey in Veraval?
Being on the Arabian Sea coast, parts of Veraval have ground that holds salt and moisture. Both soak up the radar signal, so depth reach near the shore tends to be shorter than on dry ground inland. Clay that stays wet after the monsoon has the same effect.
For a ground penetrating radar survey Veraval engineers can rely on, we handle this in three ways:
- The achieved depth reach is written in the report for each section, never as one figure for the whole town.
- EM tracing runs alongside radar, so conductive cables are still followed where radar returns are weak.
- At crossings or tight corridors where the design depends on an exact depth, trial pits or boreholes can be added on request.
How those checks compare is explained in our article on GPR vs trial pits and boreholes.
What will a Veraval survey cost under our rate card?
Charges are per metre of route actually surveyed, with GST added. Veraval lies outside Delhi NCR, so two floors apply: at least 4 km is billed on every order, and at least ₹1,00,000 on every project.
| Example job | Calculation | Amount before GST |
|---|---|---|
| 3.5 km harbour road, standard | Billed as 4 km = ₹96,000, raised to project minimum | ₹1,00,000 |
| 5 km town cable route, standard | 5,000 m × ₹24 | ₹1,20,000 |
| 5 km town cable route, L-section | 5,000 m × ₹32 | ₹1,60,000 |
| 12 km water line corridor, standard | 12,000 m × ₹24 | ₹2,88,000 |
Long programmes earn whole-order discounts: 25% beyond 100 km, 40% beyond 500 km and 50% beyond 1,000 km, applied to every metre. Mobilisation, night-shift working, traffic arrangements or permissions and CAD/GIS drawing sets are not part of these amounts and are quoted separately. See the price list for the complete slab table.
Standard survey, L-section or site scan – which fits your job?
- Standard route survey (₹24/m). Suits most cable, pipe and duct routes where the team needs positions and approximate depths of existing services.
- L-section survey (₹32/m). Adds a depth profile of detected services along the route, useful when a work order asks for it or when new lines must pass close to old ones.
- Site scan. A grid over a plot, processing unit or yard before foundations, tanks or new connections.
- Cable fault locating. A separate service for a damaged existing cable, quoted on its own.
Our GPR scanning services in Veraval can mix these on one order, for example L-section on a crowded junction and standard survey on the rest of the route.
How do crews from Faridabad cover Veraval and nearby towns?
Every system we send is company-owned – 58 GPR systems and 18 HDD rigs, all based at our Faridabad yard – and operated by our in-house crews. With 1.5 lakh+ km of GPR survey behind us in 28+ States and UTs over 23 years, travelling across the country to a coastal town is routine.
Because Veraval is a long journey from Faridabad, it pays to group work. Routes near Junagadh, Porbandar or Amreli can share one mobilisation, and their combined length counts towards the discount slab. Our Gujarat survey hub lists the other towns we cover.
Power distribution in Saurashtra and Kutch is handled by PGVCL (Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Ltd.), headquartered in Rajkot. We have no affiliation with PGVCL or any other DISCOM and act only for the client who orders the survey.

Junagadh, Porbandar or Amreli routes on the same order cut the mobilisation cost carried by each kilometre.
Discount on the full order
Veraval orders past 100 km pay a quarter less on all metres; above 500 km the saving climbs to 40%, and over 1,000 km to half.

Questions about GPR survey in Veraval
Can you scan roads around the fishing harbour?
Yes, provided the client has the permissions needed for those roads or premises. Harbour-side roads are busy with loading, so we often suggest quieter hours or, where allowed, night working. Night shifts are charged separately and appear as their own item in the quote.
Is survey work possible near the Somnath temple?
It can be, subject to the permissions the project holds from the relevant authorities. Visitor crowds make timing important, so stretches near the temple are usually scheduled for quieter periods. Tell us about any restrictions you already know of when requesting the quote.
Do you check fish-processing or cold-storage plots?
Yes. Private plots are scanned on a grid to locate internal power cables, water lines and drains before new foundations, equipment bases or connections. Billing is the per-metre rate on the grid length the plot requires, and the usual minimums still apply.
How accurate are depths in salty coastal soil?
Depths from radar are estimates, and salty or wet ground makes them harder to read. The report states the depth reach achieved on each section and where confidence is low. If one depth decides the design, a trial pit at that spot gives a confirmed figure.
Are you an approved PGVCL contractor?
No. Mezux Touch holds no approval, empanelment or tie-up with PGVCL or any other DISCOM. Contractors and owners working in the PGVCL area can order a survey from us directly, and our findings go to the client who placed the order.
Do I get CAD drawings with the survey?
Only if you order them. The metre rate covers scanning, marking and the signed report. CAD drawing sets and GIS layers are prepared as a separate, quoted item, so list them in your enquiry if your client needs them.
