Quick answer

Want power cables, pipelines, OFC ducts or drains located in Gandhidham town, at Kandla or inside the SEZ? Mezux Touch sends its own crews from Faridabad with radar the company owns. Rates near Kandla are the same as anywhere: ₹24 a metre, or ₹32 for L-section, with GST on top. Every Gandhidham order is charged for 4 km at minimum, and ₹1,00,000 is the lowest project value we bill.

Rates and page checked:

GPR cart being pushed along the edge of a paved road
Road-edge scans locate services before a Gandhidham cable trench is cut.
Industrial plant with pipe racks, sheds and internal roads
Warehouse and plant plots near Kandla often hide services from several owners.
Technician holding an electromagnetic cable locator over the ground
EM tracing helps follow metal cables where salty coastal soil weakens radar.
Coloured paint marks on a road showing buried utility positions
Each detected line is painted in its utility colour with depth noted.

What does a GPR survey company in Gandhidham locate?

Before anyone opens the ground for a new cable, pipeline or duct, the team needs to know what already lies there. As a GPR survey company in Gandhidham, we answer that question with two methods used together: ground penetrating radar, which picks up both metallic and non-metallic objects, and electromagnetic (EM) locating, which follows conductive lines such as power and telecom cables.

On a typical Gandhidham route the crew looks for:

  • HT and LT power cables feeding industrial and commercial plots;
  • water mains, sewer lines and storm-water drains;
  • OFC ducts and copper telecom cables along road shoulders;
  • process or fuel pipelines inside and around industrial premises;
  • buried chambers, culverts and abandoned lines.

Pipeline-led jobs are explained in more depth on our underground pipeline detection page.

Why do port, SEZ and warehouse areas need careful scanning?

Gandhidham sits next to Deendayal Port (Kandla) and the Kandla Special Economic Zone, and a large share of local activity is logistics, warehousing and port-related industry. That shapes what lies under the ground:

  • Many owners in one strip. Roads running to the port and the SEZ carry services laid by different agencies and companies over many years, and records rarely show all of them together.
  • Heavy-vehicle routes. Container trucks and trailers use these roads continuously, so excavation windows are short and a strike causes costly hold-ups.
  • Large private plots. Warehouses and plants often run internal cables and pipes between sheds, gates and tanks that no public drawing shows.

For plots and yards we scan on a grid rather than a single line; Gandhidham clients use this kind of survey before foundations, new connections or yard paving.

How does coastal Kutch ground affect radar depth?

Ground close to the Gulf of Kutch can hold salt and moisture, and both absorb the radar signal. On such stretches the radar sees less deep than it would in dry, sandy soil inland. We do not quote one depth figure for the whole town; the report records the reach achieved on each section instead.

Three things keep the survey useful where radar is weak:

  1. EM locating continues to trace conductive cables that radar alone may struggle with.
  2. Cross-lines are added at chambers, poles and road junctions, where services usually meet.
  3. Trial pits or boreholes, on request, confirm depth or identity at a point the design depends on.

Our guide to Saurashtra and Kutch ground explains these soil effects further.

How much does GPR scanning in Gandhidham cost?

Billing follows the length of route scanned. The minimum order is 4 km, and because Gandhidham is outside Delhi NCR, no project is billed below ₹1,00,000. GST is added on top. Some worked figures, before GST:

  • 2 km SEZ road: charged as 4 km, which comes to ₹96,000, so the ₹1,00,000 project minimum applies.
  • 6 km cable route, standard: 6,000 m × ₹24 = ₹1,44,000.
  • 6 km cable route, L-section: 6,000 m × ₹32 = ₹1,92,000.
  • 150 km Kutch programme, standard: crosses the 100 km slab, so every metre gets 25% off – ₹27,00,000.

Large Gandhidham orders fall further still: past 500 km the whole order is 40% cheaper, and an order beyond 1,000 km is billed at 50% of list. Faridabad mobilisation, night work, permits or traffic management and CAD/GIS drawings are never folded into those numbers — each takes a separate quote line. The full table of slabs is printed in our GPR survey price list.

How do our crews reach Gandhidham?

Our Faridabad yard is home to the full fleet — 58 GPR systems, 18 HDD rigs, and that is where Gandhidham crews and equipment set out from. We hire nothing locally and sub-let no part of the work, so your route is scanned by Mezux staff. Our 23 years have taken crews to 28+ States and UTs and past the 1.5 lakh km mark in GPR survey; long-distance trips to Kutch are routine planning for us.

Kutch jobs travel well together. If your firm also has routes near Bhuj or Morbi, one mobilisation can cover them all, and the combined length counts towards the discount slab. Other towns are listed on our Gujarat GPR survey hub.

PGVCL (Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Ltd., head office Rajkot) distributes power across Saurashtra and Kutch. Mezux Touch is not affiliated with PGVCL or any other DISCOM; we work for the contractor or owner who places the order.

What should you send for a Gandhidham quote?

  • A KML file, route drawing or marked map, with total length;
  • the work planned – cable, pipe, OFC duct or bore;
  • whether the work order calls for an L-section or CAD/GIS drawings;
  • any stretches inside the port area, SEZ or private plots where access passes are needed;
  • preferred start dates and any restricted working hours.

STEP 1

Share route and plots

Send the KML or drawing, marking public roads, SEZ stretches and private yards separately so access can be arranged.

STEP 2

Receive a clear quote

The quote shows metre rate, applicable minimum, any slab discount and each separate item such as mobilisation.

STEP 3

Crew travels from Faridabad

Company-owned systems and our own operators arrive together, with Bhuj or Morbi routes added when possible.

STEP 4

Radar and EM passes

Lines run along the route, with extra cross-lines at junctions, gates and chambers where buried services cluster.

STEP 5

Marks and signed report

Findings are painted on site and listed in a report that states depth reach and any unscanned stretch.

FAQ

Questions about GPR survey in Gandhidham

Can you survey inside the Kandla SEZ or port area?

Yes, once the client has arranged entry passes and any permission the zone or port authority requires. Access rules there are set by those authorities, not by us. Tell us early which stretches lie inside controlled areas so the programme allows time for passes.

Do you scan warehouse plots as well as roads?

We do. Warehouse and plant plots are scanned on a grid covering the area where work is planned, finding internal cables, water lines, drains and pipes before foundations, racking bases or new connections go in. Pricing uses the metre rate on the scan lines required, with the usual minimums.

Will salty ground stop the survey?

It does not stop it, but it can reduce how deep radar sees. EM locating still traces metal cables, and the report states the depth reach on each section so you know where readings are strong and where they are limited. Trial pits can confirm critical points.

Can night shifts be arranged on busy port roads?

Yes. Where daytime truck traffic makes scanning unsafe or slow, the crew can work at night, subject to the permissions your project holds. Night-shift working is charged separately from the metre rate and is shown as its own item in the quote.

Do you work for PGVCL in Gandhidham?

No. We have no affiliation, empanelment or approval with PGVCL or any DISCOM. We take orders from contractors, consultants and private owners, including those carrying out work in PGVCL's area, and report our findings to whoever places the order.

Is cable fault locating part of the route survey?

No. Finding the fault on an existing damaged cable is a separate task with its own quote. A route survey maps what lies along a planned alignment. Both can be booked in the same visit if your project needs them.
