Quick answer

Looking for a GPR survey company in Morbi? Mezux Touch dispatches in-house teams from Faridabad, with radar it owns, to locate power cables, gas and water lines, drains and OFC ducts beneath Morbi's roads and ceramic industrial belts. Route scanning costs ₹24 a metre, or ₹32 with an L-section. A 4 km and ₹1,00,000 minimum applies; GST extra.

Why hire a GPR survey company in Morbi before digging?

Morbi grew around the ceramic-tile trade, and the ground beneath its industrial roads shows it. Each factory needs a power feed, water, drainage and, at many units, a gas connection, so the verges along factory belts carry services laid by different owners at different times. Records for older lines are often missing or no longer match what is on site.

Hiring a GPR survey company in Morbi before a new cable, pipe or duct goes in tells your team what is already there and roughly how deep it runs. Our crews combine ground penetrating radar with electromagnetic locating and paint each find on the surface, so the trenching or boring crew can plan around it instead of discovering it with a bucket.

Typical targets include:

  • HT and LT power cables feeding factory transformers;
  • gas pipelines running to kilns and process units;
  • water mains, borewell lines and effluent pipes;
  • storm drains, culverts and sewer lines in the town area;
  • telecom cables and OFC ducts along highway and road edges.

Where does underground work in Morbi usually happen?

Three kinds of ground account for most survey requests here:

  1. Ceramic industrial belts. New units, expansions and fresh connections keep the roadside strips busy. Plots also need scanning before foundations, tanks or yard trenches are dug; our guide to industrial estate surveys in Gujarat explains how we handle crowded estate roads.
  2. Town roads near the Machchhu river. Older streets hold water, sewer and power lines built up over decades, with drains and culverts running towards the river.
  3. Highway and connecting roads. Cable and duct routes between Morbi and neighbouring towns tend to follow road edges, where they meet cross-drains, junctions and other utilities' lines.

For each of these, we set the scan pattern to the task: continuous lines with cross-lines on corridors, and a closer grid on plots or junctions where services converge.

How does radar behave in Morbi's ground?

Signal reach depends on what the ground is made of and how much water it holds. Clay-rich soils, common in many parts of Saurashtra, absorb radar energy when wet, and ground with salt in it does the same. Dry, sandy or gravelly fill lets the signal travel further. Factory yards with compacted made-up ground can behave quite differently from natural soil a few metres away.

So instead of promising a fixed depth for Morbi, each section of our report carries the reach actually achieved there, and any stretch where the signal fell short of the design depth is flagged. Our article on GPR survey in Saurashtra and Kutch ground covers regional soil issues in more detail. Where a depth must be proved, boreholes or trial pits can be added on request.

What does a GPR survey in Morbi cost?

One rate card serves every state we work in. Standard route scanning is priced at ₹24 for each metre; pick the L-section survey and it rises to ₹32 a metre, since that version also plots the depth profile of services found on the route. Anything shorter than 4 km is invoiced as though it were 4 km. Because Morbi lies outside Delhi NCR, ₹1,00,000 is the smallest bill a project here can carry. GST comes on top of every figure.

Sample jobTypeBefore GST
2.5 km factory approach roadStandard₹1,00,000 (the 4 km floor gives ₹96,000; the project floor lifts it)
6 km cable feeder routeStandard₹1,44,000
6 km cable feeder routeL-section₹1,92,000
120 km regional duct programmeStandard, 25% slab₹21,60,000

Slab discounts cover the entire order, not merely the length beyond the threshold: one quarter off once you pass 100 km, two-fifths past 500 km and half past 1,000 km. The metre rate leaves out four things – moving crew and systems from Faridabad, working at night, traffic control or permits, and CAD/GIS drawing sets – and each is priced as its own line. Slab-by-slab detail sits on our rate card for GPR survey.

Which services can be ordered for a Morbi site?

  • Route survey – the ground penetrating radar survey that Morbi contractors use before laying a cable, pipe or duct along a road.
  • L-section survey – the route scan with a depth profile of detected services; details on our L-section GPR survey page.
  • Plot and yard scan – GPR scanning services in Morbi for a factory plot before foundations, tanks or internal trenching, as described on the construction site GPR survey page.
  • Pipeline tracing – finding gas and water lines ahead of new connections; see underground pipeline detection.
  • Cable fault locating – finding the break on a faulted cable, a different task from route mapping with its own quote.
  • Boreholes and trial pits – dug on request wherever a design depth has to be seen rather than estimated.

How do our crews reach Morbi, and who do they work for?

Mezux keeps no office in Morbi. Teams leave our Faridabad base with equipment the company owns – 58 GPR systems and 18 HDD rigs in all, operated by our own staff and never sub-let. Our survey record now passes 1.5 lakh km, spread over 28+ States and UTs since 2003, so a Saurashtra trip is routine work for the planning desk.

Morbi jobs often pair well with routes in Rajkot, Surendranagar or Jamnagar: a single mobilisation serves several stretches, and their combined length reaches a discount slab sooner. To see how Morbi sits among the other Gujarat towns we cover, open the Gujarat GPR survey hub.

Electricity distribution in Morbi is handled by PGVCL, headquartered in Rajkot. Mezux Touch is not affiliated with PGVCL or any other DISCOM; we act only for the contractor, consultant or owner who commissions the survey.

FAQ

Questions about GPR survey in Morbi

Can you scan inside a running ceramic factory?

Yes, where the owner gives access and safety rules allow. Yards, internal roads and open areas can be scanned on a grid. Kiln zones, heavy stacking areas and spots crowded with vehicles may limit coverage, and any area we cannot reach is listed in the report.

Will radar find plastic gas or water pipes?

Often, yes, because radar responds to the contrast between the pipe and the surrounding soil, not only to metal. Small plastic lines in wet clay are harder to see. Where a pipe has a tracer wire, EM locating can follow it; otherwise the report states confidence for each find.

How soon should excavation follow the survey?

Ideally within days. Paint marks fade under traffic, dust and rain, and pegs on soft ground can be disturbed. The signed report keeps the findings, but a fresh mark-out may be needed if excavation is delayed. Re-marking can be arranged as a separate visit.

Do you survey highway stretches outside Morbi town?

Yes. Corridors beside highways and connecting roads are scanned as continuous lines, with tighter coverage at junctions, culverts and cross-drains. Securing leave to work on the verge or carriageway is the project owner's task, and any traffic control is charged outside the survey rate.

Is the ₹1,00,000 minimum extra to the metre charge?

No. Think of it as the smallest invoice we raise for a Morbi project. A job whose metre charges total, say, ₹96,000 is billed at ₹1,00,000, while a job worth more is billed at its actual figure. GST and the listed extras sit on top either way.

Are you working with PGVCL on Morbi projects?

No. Mezux holds no tie-up, approval or empanelment from PGVCL or from any other DISCOM. Firms executing distribution work in the region can still book our survey directly, and the report goes only to the party that commissioned it.
