Substantial parts of the city sit on reclaimed ground along creek margins. That fill is saline, retains moisture and behaves inconsistently along its length, and both salinity and moisture reduce achievable radar depth.

Calibration follows the ground actually present rather than one assumed velocity across a route. Where a section crosses from natural ground onto fill, the report says so, because the confidence carried either side is not the same.

Port and freight corridors

The container port and its approach corridors carry servicing sized for heavy cargo movement, along with pavement construction far deeper than an ordinary road. Radar behaviour over heavy pavement differs, and traffic makes daytime working largely unavailable.

Port areas run on permit and escort systems with their own security requirements, and survey windows are set by cargo movement. We arrange clearance ahead of mobilisation rather than at the gate.

Taloja and the airport influence zone

The Taloja industrial area carries chemical, pharmaceutical and engineering units with heavy power distribution, process water and effluent conveyance, much of it privately laid. Probable effluent lines are reported as their own category.

Around the airport site, construction and infrastructure work has rearranged ground extensively, and survey data has a shorter useful life there than elsewhere. We date every issue prominently for that reason.
