Utility Mapping — Ghaziabad, UP
Underground Utility Mapping in Ghaziabad
When a Ghaziabad township, campus, plant or road corridor needs a record of every buried service, we map the area with radar and EM locating and report each line with its depth.

Underground utility mapping in Ghaziabad records all buried cables, pipes, ducts and chambers across a site or corridor, not just one route. Mezux Touch scans the area on a grid with GPR and EM locators, marks every service and issues a signed report. Billing is ₹24 per metre of scan lines, 4 km minimum inside NCR, GST extra.

When does a project need underground utility mapping in Ghaziabad?
A route survey clears one line. Underground utility mapping in Ghaziabad answers a broader question: what lies beneath this whole piece of ground? That matters when the work ahead is not a single trench but a redesign of the space above it.
Typical reasons to order mapping:
- widening a road, adding a service lane or rebuilding drains along a stretch;
- redeveloping a group housing campus, hospital or institution where internal services were added over the years;
- expanding a factory or warehouse plot in Sahibabad or another industrial area;
- planning works next to a major corridor such as the Delhi–Meerut Expressway or the RRTS alignment, where any diversion must be known early;
- building a services record for a township that is taking over maintenance from its developer.
For linear assets the same work is often called utility corridor mapping in Ghaziabad. Other survey types in the district are listed on our Ghaziabad GPR survey page.
How is a whole site mapped instead of a single line?
The area is divided into a grid of scan lines, set closer where services are likely to bunch, such as gates, plant rooms, substations and road junctions. Then:
- EM locating picks out live cables and metal pipes, using a signal clamp or connection wherever an access point exists.
- GPR lines cover the grid in both directions, which is how plastic pipes, ducts and non-conductive services are found.
- 3D or high-resolution scanning is used on small, crowded patches where 2D lines would blur neighbouring targets; this is what clients usually mean by 3D utility mapping services in Ghaziabad.
- Correlation. Finds are joined into continuous lines and checked against valve covers, manholes, poles and meter points visible on the surface.
Depth reach depends on soil and moisture, and wetter ground near the Hindon or under leaking services reads shallower. The report gives the depth achieved for each part of the site. The general approach is described on our utility mapping service page.
Why are Ghaziabad service records split between so many owners?
Buried services here are owned and maintained by different parties. Electricity distribution is with PVVNL; many civic roads, drains and water services fall to Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation; GDA handles planned development areas; and private developers, societies and industries own the internal networks on their land. Every one of them holds its own files to its own standards, and hardly any of it has been brought together.
Mapping does not depend on those records, because radar and locators read what is physically present. Records are still worth sharing, since they hint at what to expect and help label the finds. We have no affiliation with PVVNL, Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation, GDA or any other authority, and our findings go only to the client who commissioned the mapping.
In practice we label each mapped line in one of three ways: confirmed by a visible connection such as a valve, chamber or pole; inferred from its size, depth and route; or unknown. A housing society taking over its network, or a planner preparing smart city underground mapping in Ghaziabad at ward or township scale, then knows exactly which lines can be relied on and which still need a check before design. Unknown lines are never left off the record.
What does a mapping order deliver, and what is extra?
Every mapping job includes surface marking of detected services and a signed report listing each line with its position, approximate depth, detection method and confidence, together with a list of any ground left unscanned. On top of that, a client can order:
- CAD drawings of the mapped services, for designers working in AutoCAD-based workflows; our underground utility CAD drawing services in Ghaziabad are quoted separately;
- GIS layers for an asset register or planning database, also quoted separately;
- an L-section along chosen lines, adding a depth profile at ₹32 a metre;
- trial pits or boreholes to confirm critical depths, on request.
Projects following a subsurface utility engineering process can use our mapping as their detection stage. Drawing and GIS options are explained on the CAD/GIS utility mapping page.
How is utility mapping in Ghaziabad priced?
Area work is converted into the length of scan lines needed to cover it, and that length is billed at the normal metre rate. Inside Delhi NCR the only floor is 4 km; no per-project minimum applies. GST is extra.
| Mapping scope | Scan-line length | Before GST |
|---|---|---|
| Housing campus | About 3 km, billed as 4 km | ₹96,000 |
| Industrial plot in Sahibabad | 5 km | ₹1,20,000 |
| Township road network | 12 km | ₹2,88,000 |
| Long road corridor | 110 km, 25% slab | ₹19,80,000 |
Past 500 km the discount becomes 40%, and past 1,000 km it is 50%, always on the whole order. Mobilisation, night working, traffic or permission arrangements and CAD/GIS drawing sets are quoted on their own. Full slabs are on the GPR survey price list.

Area priced as scan lines
Your site is converted into the scan-line length needed to cover it, then billed at ₹24 a metre.
Small sites stay affordable
Inside NCR a campus or plot under 4 km of lines is billed as 4 km, with no added project minimum.
Drawings only if needed
CAD drawings and GIS layers are optional and quoted separately, so a simple marking-and-report job is not loaded with them.
Corridors earn slab discounts
Long mapping corridors above 100 km are billed at ₹18 a metre throughout, and lower again past 500 km.
No hired equipment
Radar and locators come from our own fleet, which keeps the metre rate free of rental charges.
Every extra listed
Mobilisation, night shifts and traffic or permission arrangements appear as separate lines before you approve the quote.

Questions about utility mapping in Ghaziabad
Can you map services inside an occupied housing society?
Yes, with the management's consent and under its gate and safety rules. Radar carts work on internal roads, parking and open areas without disturbing residents. Covered parking decks and basements limit what can be scanned, and any such area is listed in the report as not covered.
Do you act as a GIS utility mapping agency in Ghaziabad?
We survey the ground and can supply the results as GIS layers when a client orders them; that GIS work is quoted separately from the metre rate. We do not maintain anyone's GIS system ourselves. Our layers are prepared for the client to load into its own database.
Is smart city underground mapping something you offer in Ghaziabad?
We map buried services at township, ward or corridor scale for planners and engineering firms who want a digital record of what is underground. The field method is the same grid of radar and EM scanning. Results can be supplied as CAD or GIS for a separate price. See our smart city mapping page for the wider approach.
How do you mark services that cannot be identified?
They are marked and reported as unknown, with position, approximate depth and the method that found them. We do not guess a utility type to fill a gap. If identifying a particular line matters, a trial pit at one point usually settles it, and that is arranged on request.
Can mapping be phased across a large site?
Yes. A large campus or township can be mapped block by block, with findings shared as each phase is finished. All phases under one order count together for the 4 km minimum and for any discount slab, so phasing does not raise the rate.
How accurate are mapped depths?
Radar gives estimated depths, and how far they can be trusted varies with the ground, its wetness and how large the buried service is. The report gives approximate depths and states confidence for each line. Where a depth is critical for design, such as at a deep sewer or a planned bore, it should be confirmed by a trial pit.
