Quick answer

Underground utility mapping in Faridabad finds and records every detectable power cable, water main, sewer, gas pipe and telecom duct across a whole site or corridor, using GPR and EM locating, with each service's position and approximate depth. Mezux Touch charges ₹24 per metre of scan line, 4 km minimum; CAD/GIS drawing sets are quoted separately and GST is extra.

Rates and page checked:

Ground penetrating radar cart being pushed along a paved surface
On a mapping job the radar cart covers a grid, not one line along a road.
Separate map layers for power, water, sewer and telecom services
Power, water, sewer, gas and telecom finds are kept apart as separate layers.
Radargram image showing curved reflections from buried pipes and cables
Each curved reflection is checked against EM readings before it is called a service.
CAD plan of a site with buried utility lines drawn in colours
A CAD plan of the map can be ordered as a separately quoted item.

How is underground utility mapping in Faridabad different from a route survey?

A route survey clears one line – the strip where a cable or duct is about to go. Underground utility mapping in Faridabad looks at a whole area instead: a factory plot, a campus, a stretch of road from boundary to boundary, or a junction that is about to be rebuilt. The aim is a record of everything we can detect, not just what lies in the way of one job.

That changes how the work is done:

  • radar runs on a grid of lines across the area, not only along it;
  • EM sweeps search for every conductive line, including ones nobody mentioned;
  • finds are sorted by utility type and joined into continuous runs;
  • the report states coverage limits for the whole site, not only the planned trench.

Our underground utility mapping service page covers the method in general terms.

Which Faridabad sites usually call for a full utility map?

Mapping is worth its cost where many owners' services overlap or where nobody holds reliable records. In this city that typically means:

  • Plots in NIT and the old industrial areas, where units planning a new shed or machine base may find cables, process pipes and drains left by earlier occupants.
  • HSVP sector roads before widening, footpath rebuilding or a new service duct, since additions over the years seldom follow the original service strips.
  • The Delhi–Mathura road (NH-19) and Violet Line surroundings, where utility corridor mapping in Faridabad helps designers see the full width of buried services before diversion or widening work.
  • Housing societies, schools and hospital campuses about to add connections, parking or landscaping.

Records held by DHBVN, the Municipal Corporation Faridabad or HSVP, when the client can obtain them, are useful starting points that we compare with what we detect. Mezux Touch has no affiliation with any of these bodies. The city-wide picture is on our GPR survey in Faridabad page.

How are buried services turned into separate layers?

  1. Gather what is known. Drawings, old site plans and owners' records are collected, however partial, and visible features – chambers, valves, pillars, markers – are located.
  2. Sweep with EM. The locator searches the site for conductive lines and follows each one it picks up.
  3. Run the radar grid. Line spacing is chosen for the site; denser where services converge, wider on open ground.
  4. Correlate. Radar reflections, EM traces and surface features are matched so that isolated hits become continuous runs.
  5. Classify. Each run is assigned to power, water, sewer, gas, telecom or unknown, with a note on how sure we are.

Unknown features are reported as unknown rather than forced into a category, because a wrong label can mislead a designer more than an honest question mark.

When are 3D utility mapping services in Faridabad worth ordering?

Most sites are mapped well with 2D radar lines. A closer, high-resolution grid – the basis of 3D utility mapping services in Faridabad – earns its extra scan length in a few situations: a junction where many services cross at different depths, a plant area packed with pipes and cable trenches, or a small footprint where a foundation must avoid everything below it. Because billing follows scan-line metres, a denser grid costs more for the same area, so we suggest it only where the picture would otherwise be unclear. Our article comparing 3D GPR and 2D line survey sets out the trade-off.

Do you offer subsurface utility engineering in Faridabad?

Yes, in the practical sense the term is used for: combining record research, field detection by GPR and EM, and verification at selected points by trial pits or boreholes, so the design team knows how far each line on the map can be trusted. Subsurface utility engineering in Faridabad is most useful on road redevelopment and smart city projects, such as street upgrades that bring new ducts, drains and lighting into streets already full of older services. Trial pits and boreholes are added on request and priced separately. See our SUE survey page for how the confidence levels are reported.

Which CAD and GIS outputs can the map be delivered in?

Every mapping job comes with ground marking where the client wants it and a signed report listing each detected service, its position, approximate depth, detection method and confidence, plus the areas we could not scan. Beyond that, clients looking for underground utility CAD drawing services in Faridabad, or a GIS utility mapping agency in Faridabad to load findings into their own system, can order drawing sets as a separate item:

  • layered CAD drawings, with one layer per utility type;
  • GIS layers in common formats such as SHP or KML;
  • PDF issue sets for circulation.

These sets are quoted on their own and never form part of the per-metre rate. More detail is on our CAD/GIS utility mapping page.

How is a utility mapping job in Faridabad priced?

What gets billed is the length of radar line scanned, at ₹24 per metre. A plot or campus is therefore priced on the grid it needs: a site that takes 3.2 km of lines is billed as 4 km, ₹96,000, while 20 km of lines across a sector road corridor costs ₹4,80,000. Where an L-section depth profile is wanted along a corridor, that length is charged at ₹32 per metre. Because Faridabad is part of Delhi NCR, only the 4 km minimum applies – no project-value floor. GST is added.

Large mapping programmes fall into the whole-order slabs: a quarter off past 100 km, 40% past 500 km, half past 1,000 km. Mobilisation, night work, traffic arrangements or permissions, and CAD/GIS sets sit outside the metre rate. Every figure is listed on the GPR survey price list.

STEP 1

Define the area

Send the site boundary or corridor limits, a layout plan if available, and what is planned there after the survey.

STEP 2

Collect known records

Old plans, owner records and visible features such as valves, chambers and pillars are gathered before scanning starts.

STEP 3

Grid and sweep

Radar lines are run on a grid chosen for the site, and EM sweeps search for every conductive line present.

STEP 4

Sort into layers

Finds are joined into runs and assigned to power, water, sewer, gas, telecom or unknown, each with a confidence note.

STEP 5

Verify what matters

Trial pits or boreholes can be added at critical points on request, turning key estimates into measured values.

FAQ

Questions about underground utility mapping in Faridabad

Can you work from DHBVN or municipal utility records?

We can use any records the client obtains from DHBVN, the Municipal Corporation Faridabad, HSVP or other owners as a starting point. We do not collect them on the client's behalf as an agent of those bodies. The map compares records with what was actually detected and flags differences.

How reliable are the depths shown on a utility map?

Every depth on the map is an estimate; how close it comes to the true figure varies with soil, moisture, service size and how deep the line lies. The report gives depth with a confidence note and states the depth reached on each part of the site. Trial pits at chosen points can confirm critical depths.

Is the utility map an approval from any authority?

No. It is a survey record prepared for the client who ordered it. Any approval for excavation, road cutting or diversion has to come from the body concerned. The map helps prepare those applications but does not replace them.

Can an existing map be extended later?

Yes. When a plot expands or a corridor is lengthened, the new area is scanned and added to the earlier record. It is billed at the same metre rate, with the usual 4 km minimum per order, so combining an extension with other work can make sense.

Can you map a housing society or campus while it is in use?

Yes. Scanning is quiet, needs no digging and can work around parked cars and residents' movement, though cleared areas give fuller coverage. We agree access times with the management in advance and report any area that could not be scanned because of obstructions.

What should we send for a mapping quote?

The site boundary or corridor limits on a plan or KML, its approximate area, what is planned after the survey, any existing utility drawings, and whether CAD or GIS outputs are wanted. From that we propose a grid, work out the scan-line length and quote.
