Quick answer

A telecom cable route survey in Faridabad checks a planned fibre or duct alignment with GPR and EM locating, finding existing ducts, cables, pipes and chambers so the new OFC goes where there is room and every HDD shot avoids other services. Mezux Touch bills ₹24 per metre; any order below 4 km counts as 4 km. GST is extra.

Rates and page checked:

Survey team at a roadside site with radar equipment and cones
A fibre alignment is walked and scanned stretch by stretch along the chosen road margin.
Cross-section of telecom ducts laid side by side under a footpath
Several operators' ducts often share one footpath edge, leaving little width for another.
Diagram of a horizontal directional drilling bore passing beneath a road
For each HDD shot, both pits and the path between them are scanned.
Route line with kilometre markers showing surveyed length along a road
Billing follows surveyed metres, so send short fibre spurs together in one order.

Why order a telecom cable route survey in Faridabad?

A fibre route on paper usually shows a clean line along one side of the road. On the ground that strip may already hold another operator's ducts, an LT cable, a water main and a sewer manhole every few dozen metres. A telecom cable route survey in Faridabad tests the paper line against what is actually buried before any trench is opened or bore is drilled.

The survey answers three questions for the network planner:

  1. Is there enough clear width and depth along the proposed side of the road?
  2. Where are the pinch points – chambers, crossings, crowded junctions – that force a change of side or a bore?
  3. What lies along each planned HDD path?

Our general method for fibre work is set out on the OFC route GPR survey service page.

Which Faridabad corridors are hardest for new fibre?

Ground conditions for OFC differ sharply from one part of the city to another. A rough guide:

Corridor typeWhat is usually already thereHow we survey it
Delhi–Mathura road (NH-19) frontageLong parallel runs from many owners; metro pier zones of the Violet LineContinuous radar lines on the chosen margin, closer passes near piers and junctions
NIT and old industrial areasOlder cables and drains with poor records, narrow lanes, factory connectionsTighter line spacing and more cross-lines; findings flagged where confidence is low
HSVP sector roadsPlanned service strips, later telecom and street-light additions near marketsStandard spacing on open stretches, grids at dividing-road crossings

For a city-level view, see our Faridabad GPR survey page.

How is duct feasibility judged on a Faridabad road?

Feasibility is not a yes-or-no stamp. Our report shows, section by section, how much of the planned strip is free of detected services and at roughly what depth the existing ones lie. With that, the planner can decide between staying on the chosen side, moving to the other side, using the footpath or berm, or boring past a congested stretch.

Things we pay particular attention to on an optical fiber route survey in Faridabad:

  • existing HDPE ducts, which are hard to see when empty and are often stacked together;
  • manholes and handholes of other operators, recorded with position;
  • LT and street-light cables running in the same margin;
  • water service connections crossing the route to each plot;
  • drains, culverts and any buried structure across the line.

Our article on GPR scanning for OFC routing explains how these targets look on radar.

Trenchless utility survey in Faridabad: what is scanned for each HDD shot?

Fibre in this city is often laid by horizontal directional drilling, to cross the highway, a sector dividing road or a busy market frontage without open cutting. A trenchless utility survey in Faridabad treats every shot as its own target area:

  • Entry and exit pits – scanned on a grid so the pits are not dug onto an existing line.
  • The bore path – lines across and along it, noting services at each depth band the radar reaches.
  • Approaches – a few metres beyond each pit, because the drill head does not turn sharply.

Since we run 18 HDD rigs of our own besides 58 GPR systems, our HDD route survey services in Faridabad are planned with the drilling method in mind. Details are on our HDD route survey page.

Do power networks change where fibre can run?

They often do. In Faridabad the power network belongs to DHBVN (Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam), whose HT and LT cables share many of the same road margins that fibre routes want. A new duct laid right above an existing power cable invites trouble for both owners later. The survey shows where power cables run so the duct can keep a sensible offset, and where a crossing is unavoidable it is placed and recorded. We have no link with DHBVN, HSVP or the Municipal Corporation Faridabad, and we act only for the client who orders the survey. Power cable routes have their own Faridabad HT/LT cable route survey page.

What does a fibre route survey in Faridabad cost?

Every metre scanned is billed at ₹24 for a standard survey, or ₹32 when an L-section depth profile is ordered. Inside Delhi NCR, which includes Faridabad, the 4 km length floor is the only minimum, and there is no ₹1,00,000 project floor. GST comes on top. Some worked figures before GST:

  • a 2.6 km FTTH spur ordered alone – billed as 4 km, ₹96,000;
  • a 15 km ring along sector roads – ₹3,60,000;
  • the same 15 km with an L-section – ₹4,80,000;
  • a 600 km multi-city backbone programme – 40% off every metre, ₹86,40,000.

Orders above 100 km get 25% off throughout, above 500 km 40%, above 1,000 km 50%. Mobilisation, night-shift working, traffic arrangements and permissions, and CAD/GIS drawing sets are charged as separate items. The full slab table is on the GPR survey price list.

What does the planner receive after the survey?

The standard output is ground marking along the alignment and a signed report. The report lists each detected service with its position and approximate depth, notes the method that found it, states the depth reached on each section and names every stretch we could not scan. Feasibility comments are given per section. Where a client wants a full telecom infrastructure survey in Faridabad recorded as drawings, CAD or GIS sets can be prepared as a separately quoted item. Operators planning wider NCR networks may find our note on OFC route survey for Delhi NCR operators useful.

TIP 1

Mark every HDD shot

Show planned bore entry and exit points on the KML, so each shot is scanned as its own small site.

TIP 2

Share existing duct records

Even partial records of your own or other operators' ducts tell the crew where to look hardest.

TIP 3

Group the short spurs

FTTH spurs and building drops sent in one order share the 4 km floor instead of each paying it.

TIP 4

Check working windows early

If the road owner allows only night work on a stretch, tell us early, as night shifts are billed separately.

TIP 5

Say what output you need

Ground marks and a report come as standard; ask at quote stage if CAD or GIS drawings are also required.

Plain metre billing

Fibre alignments are charged at ₹24 per metre scanned, so a 15 km sector ring costs ₹3,60,000 before GST.

No project floor in NCR

Faridabad orders carry only the 4 km length minimum; the ₹1,00,000 project minimum used outside NCR is not applied.

Spurs and rings together

Send backbone sections, rings and FTTH spurs in one order so the total length, not each piece, is billed.

Crossing scans on the same order

HDD shot scans sit inside the route order at the same metre rate rather than as a separate booking.

Large rollouts cost less per metre

Multi-city fibre programmes above 100 km are discounted by 25% throughout, rising to 40% past 500 km and 50% past 1,000 km.

Owned radar, no hire mark-up

All 58 GPR systems belong to the company and are run by our own crews, so no rental or sub-contract margin enters the price.

FAQ

Questions about OFC route survey in Faridabad

Can you survey fibre routes inside gated societies for FTTH?

Yes, with the society's or builder's permission. Internal roads and service areas are scanned for cables, water lines, drains and existing ducts before new FTTH ducts or microducts are laid. Short internal routes can be added to a wider Faridabad order so the 4 km minimum is met only once.

Will the survey find another operator's fibre?

Ducts carrying fibre, and especially duct bundles, usually show on radar, and metallic elements or tracer wires can be picked up by EM locating. Empty or deep plastic ducts in wet ground are harder. The report marks each find with a confidence note so the planner knows how far to rely on it.

Can Mezux also drill the HDD crossings?

We own 18 HDD rigs and run trenchless work as a separate service. The survey and the drilling are quoted separately, and the survey findings are handed to whichever drilling team the client appoints, whether ours or another contractor's.

How long before laying should the route be surveyed?

Close enough to the laying date that marks are still visible, but early enough to change the alignment on paper if the survey shows a crowded stretch. Many planners survey, revise the route, and then start laying soon after. Our quote includes a programme so both dates can be planned together.

What happens if the alignment changes after the survey?

Any new length that was not scanned in the first visit is surveyed and billed at the same metre rate. If the change is small, it can often be done during the same mobilisation. Tell us early, because a second visit adds its own mobilisation.

Does a fibre route need an L-section?

Not usually. Most fibre work only needs positions, approximate depths and feasibility per section. An L-section, which plots how deep each detected service lies along the alignment and costs ₹32 per metre, is worth ordering when a tender asks for one or when many crossings must be designed in advance.
