OFC Route Survey — Noida, Uttar Pradesh
OFC & Telecom Route GPR Survey in Noida
Before a fibre duct is trenched along a Noida sector road or bored under the Expressway, our own radar crews check the alignment for power cables, water lines and other operators' ducts already in the ground.

A telecom cable route survey in Noida scans the planned OFC alignment with GPR and EM locators to find power cables, water mains, sewers and existing ducts before trenching or HDD starts. Mezux Touch charges ₹24 per metre, or ₹32 with an L-section depth profile. Inside NCR the only minimum is 4 km, and GST is added.

What does a telecom cable route survey in Noida tell an OFC contractor?
Fibre is light to carry but costly to lose. One bucket strike on a backbone duct can cut service for thousands of subscribers, and on Noida's sector roads that bucket is usually working within a metre of somebody else's cable. A telecom cable route survey in Noida answers three practical questions before your crew digs:
- Is the planned line clear? Radar runs along the proposed duct alignment and flags every service that crosses it or runs beside it.
- Where can the duct shift if it is not? We scan a band on each side of the centre line, so the planner has room to move the route without calling the crew back.
- Which crossings need HDD? Points where the route meets a main road, a drain or a metro corridor are scanned on a closer grid, so the bore can be designed around whatever lies beneath.
You receive a marked-up route on the ground and a signed report. Our method, common to every city we work in, is set out on the OFC route GPR survey service page; this page deals only with Noida.
Why are fibre corridors in Noida's sectors so crowded underground?
Noida Authority planned the city as numbered sectors, with wide arterial roads between them and narrower internal roads within. On a plan that looks orderly. Under the footpath it is less so: electricity cables supplied by PVVNL, water and sewer lines, storm drains, street-lighting circuits and the ducts of several telecom operators all fight for the same narrow verge.
- Sector dividing roads carry trunk fibre linking IT campuses, offices and data-centre buildings, often with more than one operator in a single strip.
- Internal roads hold FTTH and last-mile feeders to housing societies and markets, laid at different times by different contractors.
- In the older sectors, services have been replaced or relaid over the years, so as-built drawings seldom match what is actually buried.
Mezux Touch has no affiliation with PVVNL, Noida Authority or any telecom operator; we act only for the client who places the order. For our wider work across the city, see the GPR survey in Noida page.
How are Expressway, metro and DND crossings checked before HDD?
Long fibre routes here rarely avoid a major crossing. The Noida–Greater Noida Expressway, the roads meeting the DND Flyway, the Blue Line of the Delhi Metro and the Aqua Line all cut across the paths operators want to take. Open trenching across them is usually ruled out, so the crossing becomes an HDD bore – and a bore is only as safe as the scan done for it. A trenchless utility survey in Noida therefore treats each crossing as its own small job. For every one we:
- scan the entry and exit pit locations for services that would obstruct the rig or the receiving pit;
- run closely spaced radar lines over the full bore path, as far as access and permissions allow;
- trace conductive lines with an EM locator to confirm what the radar shows;
- record where depth reach ran out, so the bore designer knows which part of the profile is confirmed and which is not.
Our HDD route survey services in Noida follow the same method as the HDD route survey work we carry out elsewhere. Permission to work beside metro structures or on Expressway land rests with the project owner and the authority concerned, and traffic arrangements or permissions are billed apart from the survey rate.
Can the survey judge duct feasibility on a Noida footpath?
Yes, within the limits of radar. Before proposing a new duct, operators often want to know whether a verge has any free space at all. The crew scans the strip as a set of parallel lines and records the position and approximate depth of each service found. From that record the planner can see where a clear corridor exists and how wide it is.
Radar cannot read labels, though. It shows that a duct or cable is present, not whose it is or whether it carries live fibre. Where ownership matters, chamber openings, marker posts and operator records help tie a find to its owner. Reach also varies with the ground: wet clay and waterlogged soil shorten it, dry sandy soil extends it, so the report gives depth reach stretch by stretch instead of one figure for the whole city.
How scan findings become a workable duct alignment is explained in our guide to GPR scanning for OFC routing.
What does an optical fiber route survey in Noida cost?
Billing is by the metre of route surveyed. A standard scan costs ₹24 a metre. The L-section version, which adds a depth profile of detected services along the alignment, costs ₹32 a metre. Because Noida lies inside Delhi NCR, the only floor is 4 km per order and no project-value minimum applies. GST is charged on top of every figure below.
| Route | Survey type | Amount before GST |
|---|---|---|
| 2.5 km last-mile link (billed as 4 km) | Standard | ₹96,000 |
| 9 km inter-sector fibre ring | Standard | ₹2,16,000 |
| 9 km inter-sector fibre ring | L-section | ₹2,88,000 |
| 140 km NCR fibre programme | Standard, 25% slab | ₹25,20,000 |
Cross 100 km on one order and the rate on every metre falls by a quarter; the reduction grows to 40% after 500 km and to half after 1,000 km. Four items are always priced apart from the metre rate: mobilisation, night-shift working, traffic arrangements or permissions, and any CAD/GIS drawing set. The complete slab table is on our GPR survey price list.
Who orders fibre route surveys in Noida, and how do we staff them?
Our usual clients are fibre-laying contractors working for operators, tower and infrastructure companies, EPC firms building campus or data-centre links, and developers who need ducts brought into a new building. The telecom operators sector page explains where our survey fits in an operator's rollout.
All equipment is our own: 58 GPR systems and 18 HDD rigs, run by in-house crews with no hired machines and no sub-letting. Crews set out from Faridabad, which is close to Noida, though the start date is agreed on the quote rather than promised in advance. Across 23 years we have completed 1.5 lakh+ km of GPR survey in 28+ States and UTs, reaching 100 km in a single day on open corridors. If the same programme includes power cabling, the Noida HT/LT cable route survey page covers that side of the work.

₹24 per metre of route
A standard fibre route scan in Noida is charged by length alone, so a 9 km ring comes to ₹2,16,000 before GST.
A 4 km floor, nothing more
Inside NCR the smallest order is billed as 4 km, or ₹96,000 at the standard rate, and Noida carries no separate project minimum.
Depth profile at ₹32
Choose the L-section survey only where your work order asks for a depth profile of detected services along the duct route.
Combine your NCR routes
Adding Greater Noida, Ghaziabad or Delhi routes to one order raises the total length and brings a discount slab within reach sooner.
Slab cut on the whole order
Past 100 km the entire order drops by 25%, past 500 km by 40%, and past 1,000 km by half, every metre included.

Questions about OFC route survey in Noida
Can you tell which operator owns a duct found under a Noida road?
Not from radar alone. GPR shows that a duct or cable is present and roughly how deep, not who owns it. We combine finds with chamber openings, marker posts and any records you share, and the report says plainly where ownership is confirmed and where it is only likely.
Do you survey fibre routes inside IT parks and data-centre campuses?
Yes. Private campuses are scanned the same way as public roads once the owner grants access. Internal roads, entry points and the stretch where the duct meets the building tend to be the busiest, so they get closer line spacing. Campus security rules and working hours are agreed before the crew arrives.
Is a trenchless utility survey different from a route survey?
It uses the same equipment with a different focus. A route survey covers the whole duct alignment, whereas a trenchless survey concentrates on bore paths and pit locations and scans them on a tighter grid. Most fibre projects need both, and the two can sit on a single order.
Can the survey be done while the road stays open to traffic?
Footpath and verge scanning usually goes ahead without closing anything. Carriageway work and busy junctions may need traffic arrangements, which the client or its contractor sets up with the authority concerned. Those arrangements, like any night-shift working, are charged separately from the metre rate.
Will you mark the route for our trenching team?
Yes. Detected services are painted or pegged on the surface in utility colours, with approximate depth noted beside each mark. Marks fade under traffic and rain, so trenching soon after the survey is wise; if the work is delayed for long, a fresh check of the busiest stretches is worth arranging.
Should we tell you the duct size and laying depth we plan?
It helps. Knowing the planned duct diameter and laying depth lets the crew focus on the depth band that matters and flag the services your new duct would clash with. If the design is still open, we report everything detected and the planner fixes the alignment afterwards.
