OFC & Telecom Route GPR Survey in Ghaziabad
Fibre ducts in Ghaziabad compete for the same road shoulders as power cables, water lines and other operators' ducts. We scan the planned route and every bore before your crew digs or drills.

A telecom cable route survey in Ghaziabad scans the planned OFC duct line and each HDD bore for existing fibre, power cables, water mains and sewers, so the route can be adjusted before laying. Mezux Touch charges ₹24 per metre (₹32 with an L-section), with a 4 km minimum inside NCR and GST added.

What does a telecom cable route survey in Ghaziabad check?
Fibre is usually laid in a duct along a road shoulder or footpath, with HDD bores where the route has to pass under a carriageway, junction or drain. A telecom cable route survey in Ghaziabad looks at that exact corridor and answers one practical question: where can the duct go without hitting something already there?
We record:
- existing OFC ducts and copper telecom cables, whoever owns them;
- HT and LT power cables and street-light circuits;
- water mains, sewers and storm drains along and across the route;
- chambers and manholes that fix where handholes and joint pits can go;
- obstructions on each bore path and at each pit location.
Every find is marked on the surface and listed in a signed report, so the laying crew knows where to keep clear. The general method is explained on our OFC route GPR survey page; other work across the district is on the main Ghaziabad GPR survey page.
Why do fibre routes in Ghaziabad get tight at the road edge?
Several operators often want the same strip. Shoulders on main roads already hold ducts laid at different times, together with power cables and water lines, and the space left for a new duct can be small. A few situations come up repeatedly:
- High-rise townships. Feeder routes to residential towers run along internal and approach roads where each society has its own entry points and earlier connections.
- Sahibabad and other industrial pockets. Units need fibre too, but their road edges carry factory power supplies and old process lines.
- Links towards East Delhi. Routes heading across the boundary often follow main roads that are heavily trafficked and densely serviced.
- Long corridors. The Delhi–Meerut Expressway and the RRTS alignment form long barriers that a duct can only cross at chosen points, usually by bore.
On such stretches we tighten the line spacing so the survey actually separates one duct from the next instead of merging them into one response.
How do you check an HDD bore before drilling?
Most of the risk on an OFC route sits in the bores, because the drill head travels blind. As part of our HDD route survey services in Ghaziabad, each planned bore is handled on its own:
- The entry and exit pit areas are scanned on a grid, since pits are dug first and are often near chambers.
- The bore path is scanned with lines along and across it over the full crossing width.
- Every service that crosses the path is recorded with its approximate depth, so the driller can plan clearance above or below it.
- Stretches where radar could not see deep enough are named in the report, with trial pits or boreholes available on request.
This is the core of a trenchless utility survey in Ghaziabad. We also run 18 HDD rigs of our own, and the link between survey and drilling is explained on our HDD route survey page. Radar depth depends on soil and moisture, and wet ground near the Hindon can reduce it.
What can a telecom infrastructure survey show beyond the duct line?
Operators and their contractors sometimes need more than a clear corridor. A telecom infrastructure survey in Ghaziabad can also cover proposed handhole and manhole positions, small sites for equipment cabinets or poles, and the ground at a tower or exchange compound where new ducts will enter. Each of these is scanned on a grid instead of a line, and the findings are reported the same way.
If the client wants an existing-services drawing in CAD or GIS for its network records, we prepare it as a separately quoted item.
What does an OFC route survey in Ghaziabad cost?
The rate is per metre of route, under Delhi NCR terms: orders shorter than 4 km are billed as 4 km, and there is no per-project minimum inside NCR. GST is added to each invoice.
| Fibre scope | Rate basis | Before GST |
|---|---|---|
| 2.5 km society feeder | ₹24/m, raised to 4 km | ₹96,000 |
| 18 km backbone link | ₹24/m | ₹4,32,000 |
| 150 km ring programme | ₹18/m after 25% slab | ₹27,00,000 |
| 600 km multi-route order | ₹14.40/m after 40% slab | ₹86,40,000 |
Once an order crosses 100, 500 or 1,000 km, the slab discount of 25%, 40% or 50% applies to all of it. Mobilisation, night working, traffic or permission arrangements and CAD/GIS drawing sets are always separate lines. The complete schedule is on the GPR survey price list.
Who do we survey fibre routes for in Ghaziabad?
Our clients are telecom EPC contractors, operators' project teams and consultants planning fibre networks. Permission to open a road or bore under it is obtained by the project owner from the body controlling that stretch, which may be Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation, GDA, the state roads department or a corridor owner. Mezux Touch is not affiliated with any of these bodies, nor with PVVNL or any operator; we report only to the client who orders the survey.

Simple metre pricing
Fibre route scanning costs ₹24 per metre, so an 18 km backbone link is ₹4,32,000 before GST.
No NCR project minimum
Ghaziabad orders carry only the 4 km length floor; the outstation project minimum is not added.
Big rollouts cost less
Past 100 km the whole order drops to ₹18 a metre, and past 500 km it falls to ₹14.40.
Bores priced with the route
HDD crossings are scanned within the metre-based order, with each bore reported on its own for the drilling crew.
Own fleet, steady dates
Owning 58 GPR systems means programmes are set around your permissions and crews, not equipment availability from a hire yard.
Extras named in advance
Night shifts, mobilisation, traffic or permission work and CAD/GIS drawings sit as separate quote lines from the first draft.

Questions about fibre route surveys in Ghaziabad
Can GPR find another operator's empty duct?
Often, yes. An empty duct still differs from the soil around it, so radar can pick it up, though the response is weaker than for a duct with cables. EM locating will not find it unless it holds a metal cable or tracer wire. Uncertain finds are listed as lower confidence in the report.
Do you scan the whole route or only the bores?
Either, depending on the order. Most contractors want the full duct line scanned, because open-cut stretches cause strikes too. Some only need the bores checked when the open-cut route is already known. The quote is based on the length actually scanned, with the 4 km minimum applied.
Can the duct route be adjusted after the survey?
That is the main point of doing it early. When the survey shows a congested stretch, the duct can often move to the other side of the road or to a different depth. If the alignment changes a lot, the new line may need scanning too, which is added to the order at the same rate.
Does an OFC route survey include an L-section?
Only if ordered. The standard survey gives positions and approximate depths of existing services. An L-section adds a depth profile along the route at ₹32 a metre and is useful where bores must clear several crossing services. It can be taken for selected stretches only.
How do you report a long fibre route?
The route is split into stretches that match your drawings, and each stretch lists its finds, the depth radar reached and any section we could not access. Bores are reported separately with their pit areas. Results for completed stretches can be shared while the rest of the route is still being scanned.
Is fibre laid in a microtrench surveyed differently?
The scan itself is similar, but because a microtrench is shallow and narrow, the focus is on services close to the surface, such as shallow cables and service pipes. We set the line spacing for that depth and record anything in the top layer that would clash with the cut.
