Quick answer

Underground utility mapping in Noida builds a plan of the cables, pipes, drains and ducts beneath a site or sector road, found with GPR and EM locating, marked on the ground and listed in a signed report. Mezux Touch bills ₹24 per metre of scan line, or ₹32 with an L-section, from a 4 km minimum, plus GST.

Rates and page checked:

Mezux field team with radar equipment setting up at a work site
Area mapping starts with the crew walking the boundary agreed with the site owner.
Stacked transparent layers, one per buried service, shown above a site plan
Each Noida find is filed under its own service layer, ready for a GIS.
Technical plan drawing with buried utility lines drawn in colour
A CAD set, when ordered, turns the field record into a drawing your designer can use.
Hand-held electromagnetic locator held over a buried cable path
EM tracing follows metal cables and pipes between the radar grid lines.

What does underground utility mapping in Noida actually produce?

A route survey checks one planned line. A map covers an area. Underground utility mapping in Noida records every service our equipment can detect across a defined site – a society campus, a factory plot, a junction or a length of sector road – so that anyone designing work there starts from the same picture.

What you receive:

  • Marks on the ground for each detected service, in utility colours, with approximate depth noted.
  • A signed survey report giving the type of each service where it can be identified, its plan position, its approximate depth and how confident we are in each line.
  • A coverage statement showing which parts of the site were scanned, where access was blocked and how deep the radar could see on each part.
  • CAD or GIS layers on request, prepared from the same field data and quoted separately.

The general method behind this work is described on our utility mapping service page.

Which Noida sites are commonly mapped, and why?

Because the city grew sector by sector under Noida Authority's numbered layout, the kind of site often predicts what lies beneath it:

  • Group housing societies. Campuses built in phases often hold water lines, sewers, rainwater pipes, fire mains and power feeders laid by different contractors. A map helps before new parking, a substation shift or fresh EV charging cables. Our note on GPR survey for housing societies in NCR covers this in more detail.
  • IT, office and data-centre campuses. Dense power and fibre runs, often with redundant paths, need a clear record before any expansion.
  • Industrial plots. Before a new shed, effluent line or yard extension, owners want to know what earlier occupants left underground.
  • Sector roads and junctions. PVVNL cables, water and sewer mains and several telecom networks share these verges, and the busiest crossings sit beside the Expressway and the metro lines.

Mezux Touch is independent of Noida Authority, PVVNL and every other service owner; we are engaged only by our own client. The GPR survey in Noida page shows all our other work in the city.

How does subsurface utility engineering in Noida grade each line?

Lines on a utility map carry different levels of certainty. Subsurface utility engineering in Noida, as elsewhere, sorts information by how it was obtained, and we follow that thinking in our reports:

  1. From records only – a line shown on an old drawing but not detected on site.
  2. From surface features – inferred from chambers, valve covers, poles or marker posts.
  3. Detected by GPR or EM – located in plan with an approximate depth from the scan.
  4. Exposed – confirmed by a trial pit or borehole, which we carry out on request.

Labelling each service this way stops a designer from treating a guessed line as a confirmed one. Our article on SUE quality levels explains the grades and where each one is good enough.

When are 3D utility mapping services in Noida worth the extra effort?

Most sites are mapped with 2D radar lines run in a pattern across the area, with EM tracing between them. That suits open campuses and long road stretches. Some places need more:

  • junctions where several services bend, cross and change depth within a few metres;
  • clusters of chambers outside pump rooms, substations or building entries;
  • ground where a foundation, a deep pit or an HDD launch point must miss everything.

There a 3D or high-resolution grid gives a fuller picture, at the cost of more scan line and more processing. We suggest it only where the site justifies it. The trade-off is set out in 3D GPR versus 2D line survey.

What can stop a buried service from showing up on the map?

A careful map is open about its gaps. Services can be missed or weakly recorded when:

  • a small plastic pipe gives little contrast with the soil around it;
  • the service lies below the depth radar can reach in wet clay or saline ground;
  • several cables run tightly bundled and appear as one reflection;
  • parked cars, stacked material or locked areas prevent the crew from scanning a patch.

To narrow those gaps we trace every conductive line with EM, open chambers where the owner allows, and repeat scans over doubtful spots. Anything still uncertain is flagged in the report, and a trial pit or borehole at that point can be added on request.

Do you provide underground utility CAD drawing services in Noida?

Yes, as a separately quoted part of the job. Many clients look for a GIS utility mapping agency in Noida because their planners, facility teams or consultants work in digital layers, not paper. From our field data we can prepare:

  • a CAD drawing that separates power, water, sewer, drainage and telecom onto distinct layers, with depth notes beside the lines;
  • GIS layers in the format and coordinate system your team uses;
  • an L-section along a chosen corridor, where a depth profile of detected services is needed.

Smart city underground mapping in Noida – building a base record of services under a planned sector so later works can be coordinated – uses the same field method at a larger scale; see smart city underground mapping. Drawing sets are never bundled into the survey rate, and our CAD/GIS utility mapping page lists what each output contains.

How is utility corridor mapping in Noida priced?

Mapping is billed by the metre of scan line the site needs: ₹24 a metre for standard survey, ₹32 a metre where an L-section is added. For a campus or plot we work out the line length from the area and the pattern it needs, then quote that figure. Being part of Delhi NCR, a Noida order is billed on at least 4 km of line and carries no project-value minimum. GST is extra.

SiteScan lineAmount before GST
Small factory plot3 km, billed as 4 km₹96,000
Housing society campus5.5 km₹1,32,000
Sector road corridor20 km standard₹4,80,000
Same corridor with L-section20 km₹6,40,000

Large programmes are discounted across the full order – 25% once it exceeds 100 km, 40% beyond 500 km, 50% beyond 1,000 km. Mobilisation, night working, traffic arrangements or permits and CAD/GIS sets are priced separately. Corridor-specific detail is on our utility corridor mapping page.

Every map is made with our own kit – 58 GPR systems, in-house crews, no sub-letting – under ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, by a team with 23 years in this work.

TIP 1

Define the boundary

Mark the exact area or corridor on a layout plan, so the scan-line length and the quote are worked out correctly.

TIP 2

Gather old drawings

Society, campus or developer as-built drawings let us test records against the ground and highlight where the two disagree.

TIP 3

Open the chambers

Access to manholes, valve chambers and meter pits lets the crew confirm the type and direction of each service found.

TIP 4

Decide on CAD or GIS

Tell us early if a drawing set is needed and in which format, since it is quoted apart from the survey work.

TIP 5

Plan any trial pits

Where a design hinges on one critical depth, ask for a trial pit at that point to prove the radar reading.

FAQ

Questions about utility mapping in Noida

Can a society campus be mapped while residents are living there?

Yes. Radar carts and EM locators are quiet, need no digging and work around parked cars and daily movement. We agree working hours with the society, scan driveways and lawns in sections, and keep internal roads open. Only areas blocked by vehicles that cannot be moved are left out, and the report shows them.

Does the map show whether a pipe carries water or sewage?

Radar shows a pipe's position and approximate depth but not what flows inside. We identify the service from chambers, connections, direction and depth wherever we can. A line we cannot identify is reported as an unidentified service, not given a guessed label, and a trial pit can settle it on request.

What if a line on our old drawing is not detected?

The report lists it as shown on records but not detected. The service may have been removed, may lie deeper than radar could reach in that ground, or may be made of a material that gives a weak reflection. Where that line matters to your design, a trial pit at the drawn position is the surest check.

Can you map an industrial plot before a new shed is built?

Yes. Before foundations, sumps or new yard drains are dug, we map the plot for cables, pipes, drains and old tanks left by earlier occupants. Footing positions can be scanned on a closer grid if the layout is ready. A disused service is still reported, because a foundation must miss it all the same.

Will scanning mark or damage lawns and paved areas?

Scanning itself is non-destructive: the equipment simply rolls or is carried over the surface. Marking is usually done with spray paint, but on decorative paving, lawns or entrance areas we can use pegs, flags or chalk instead. Nothing is dug unless you order trial pits or boreholes.

Can CAD or GIS layers be ordered after the survey is finished?

Usually, yes, because the field record holds positions for every find. Deciding early is still better, since tying the survey to your coordinate system or base plan is easiest while the crew is on site. Either way, a drawing set is quoted separately from the survey.
