Quick answer

Underground utility mapping in Gurugram locates the power cables, water and sewer lines, drains and telecom ducts across a whole site or corridor using GPR and EM locating, then records them service by service in a signed report. Mezux Touch charges ₹24 per metre of scan line, 4 km minimum inside NCR, GST extra; CAD/GIS files are quoted separately.

Rates and page checked:

Stacked map layers separating cables, pipes and drains below a site
Power, water, sewer and telecom finds are kept apart as separate record layers.
Mezux survey team with radar carts and safety equipment
One in-house crew covers the grid, the tracing and the signed report.
Computer drawing of buried utility lines over a site plan
Drawing sets for an estate team are available as a separately quoted item.
Radar image showing curved reflections from buried pipes and cables
Each curved reflection in a radargram is checked before it enters the record.

What does underground utility mapping in Gurugram produce?

Route clearance answers whether one trench line is safe. Underground utility mapping in Gurugram answers a wider question: what is buried across this whole site or corridor, and where? The work produces:

  • A located picture of every service we can detect – HT and LT cables, street-light circuits, water mains and connections, sewers, storm drains, telecom ducts and metal pipelines.
  • Ground marking of each line in its utility colour, with approximate depths at measured points.
  • A signed report that separates the findings by service type, states how deep the radar reached in each part of the site and lists every area we could not scan.

Clients usually order it when the information will be used more than once: an estate team planning years of works, a developer handing over services, or a consultant preparing a corridor design. Our utility mapping service page explains the general method. For single-route jobs and other work in the city, start from the Gurugram GPR survey page.

How is mapping a whole estate different from clearing one route?

On a route survey the crew walks one alignment with cross-lines at intervals. Mapping an estate, campus or industrial plot needs coverage of the full area, so the crew lays out a grid instead. In practice that means:

  1. Agreeing the boundary and the services of interest with the client before mobilising.
  2. Running parallel radar lines across the area in two directions, closer together near buildings, gates and plant rooms.
  3. Tracing every conductive line found with EM equipment to connect points into continuous runs.
  4. Checking chambers, valve covers and manholes on the surface against what the radar shows below.

Many Gurugram estates – group housing, office parks, plots in Udyog Vihar and IMT Manesar – were serviced by their developers, so internal layouts often differ from whatever was submitted at approval. Entry to private estates is arranged by the owner or estate management before the crew arrives.

Utility corridor mapping in Gurugram: which corridors call for it?

Utility corridor mapping in Gurugram is ordered when a road will be widened, rebuilt or opened for several new services at once, and the designer needs both verges and the carriageway recorded in one go. Corridors where this kind of record is most useful include:

  • Golf Course Road and Sohna Road, where ducts, cables and pipes from many separate projects share the road edges;
  • service roads along NH-48, carrying highway-side utilities and local connections together;
  • master sector roads that divide planned sectors and carry trunk water, sewer and power lines;
  • roads near Rapid Metro and Yellow Line structures, where earlier diversions changed service positions.

Roads here are owned by different bodies, including the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram, GMDA, NHAI and private developers, and the project owner obtains working permission from whichever controls each stretch. Mezux Touch is not affiliated with MCG, GMDA, DHBVN or any other public body.

Where does a 3D radar grid help in Gurugram?

Standard mapping uses 2D radar lines, which suit most sites. 3D utility mapping services in Gurugram use a dense high-resolution grid instead, so the data can be viewed as depth slices through the ground. It is worth the extra field time in a few situations:

  • busy junctions where services cross each other at different angles;
  • small areas planned for deep pits, HDD entry points or foundations;
  • spots where 2D lines show a confusing cluster that needs resolving.

Elsewhere 2D lines are usually enough. Our article on 3D GPR versus 2D line survey compares the two.

Do you supply CAD drawings and GIS files of the mapped utilities?

Yes, as a separately quoted item. The survey itself ends with ground marks and the signed report. If the estate team or consultant wants the findings as drawings, we can prepare them:

  • Underground utility CAD drawing services in Gurugram – services drawn in layers over your site plan or road survey, with depth annotations.
  • GIS files – findings as spatial layers for a client's own records system.

Clients sometimes look for a GIS utility mapping agency in Gurugram when what they need first is reliable field data; we provide the field survey and, where asked, the drawing set built from it. Tell us your layer convention and file format at quote stage, because CAD/GIS work is priced apart from the per-metre rate. More detail is on our CAD and GIS utility mapping page.

Is this subsurface utility engineering in Gurugram?

The survey is the field part of it. Subsurface utility engineering in Gurugram, as on any project, grades information by how it was obtained: records alone, surface features, geophysical detection such as GPR and EM, and physical exposure by trial pits. Our mapping supplies the detection level, and trial pits or boreholes can be added on request where a service must be exposed and confirmed. The SUE survey page sets out how these levels are used.

How is utility mapping in Gurugram priced?

Mapping is billed per metre of scan line run on site – ₹24 for standard work, ₹32 when an L-section depth profile is added along a corridor. Gurugram lies inside Delhi NCR, so only the 4 km minimum applies.

Mapping jobScan linesBefore GST
Office campus grid4.5 km at ₹24/m₹1,08,000
Sector road corridor, both verges12 km at ₹24/m₹2,88,000
Same corridor with L-section12 km at ₹32/m₹3,84,000
City-wide mapping package600 km, 40% slab₹86,40,000

Order discounts apply to every metre: 25% over 100 km, 40% over 500 km, 50% over 1,000 km. Mobilisation, night working, traffic arrangements and CAD/GIS drawing sets are quoted separately.

STEP 1

Define the area

Send the site boundary or corridor limits, the services you care about and any existing layouts, however incomplete.

STEP 2

Agree layers and outputs

We confirm which service layers to record and whether CAD or GIS files are needed, priced as a separate item.

STEP 3

Scan the full grid

Radar lines run across the area in two directions, with denser coverage near buildings, junctions and chambers.

STEP 4

Trace and cross-check

EM locating joins conductive finds into runs, and surface chambers and covers are checked against the radar data.

STEP 5

Report by service

The signed report sets out each layer, depth reached across the site and every area that could not be scanned.

FAQ

Questions about underground utility mapping in Gurugram

How is the scan line length worked out for a site?

We plan a grid to suit the site size and how crowded it is, then add up the length of all radar lines in it. That total is what the metre rate applies to. You get the planned line length and the price in the quote before the crew is booked, so there are no surprises on the invoice.

Can mapping be updated later when new services are added?

Yes. A later survey can cover only the areas where work has happened since, and its findings can be added to the earlier record. If the first mapping came with CAD or GIS files, the update can be drawn into the same layers, again as a separately quoted item.

Will the map show the exact depth of every pipe?

No survey method gives exact depth everywhere without digging. Radar gives approximate depths that depend on soil, moisture and service size, and the report states the depth reached in each area. Where an exact depth matters, trial pits at chosen points can expose the service, quoted on request.

Can you map a site that is still under construction?

Yes, as long as the crew can safely reach the ground surface. Open trenches, stockpiles and recently backfilled ground affect radar readings, so we note them in the report. Mapping before new external services go in, and again after, gives an estate team a clear before-and-after record.

Do you map water and sewer lines as well as cables?

Yes. Water mains, service connections, sewers and storm drains are recorded along with power and telecom lines. Plastic pipes are found by radar rather than EM, and very small plastic lines in wet ground are harder to detect, which the report states where it applies.

Is mapping useful before a residents' body takes over a society?

It often is. When maintenance passes from a developer to a residents' body, few complete records of buried services usually change hands. A mapping survey of the internal roads and open areas gives the new managers a located record of what lies under their estate.
