Quick answer

Searching for a GPR survey company in Daman? Mezux Touch covers the UT capital with in-house crews and its own radar systems, sent from Faridabad, to locate power cables, water lines, drains and telecom ducts. A standard route survey is ₹24 per metre and ₹32 with an L-section; each order bills at least 4 km and ₹1,00,000, plus GST.

Rates and page checked:

Each Daman scan line is checked on screen before the crew moves forward.
Cross-section diagram of radar signal weakening in wet, salty ground
Near the coast, salt and moisture limit how far radar penetrates.

River and creek crossings get their own scan pattern on both banks.

Factory approach roads often carry dense power and process lines underground.

Why bring in a GPR survey company in Daman before you dig?

Excavation in a crowded coastal town rarely goes to plan when the only guide is an old drawing. Hiring a GPR survey company in Daman before trenching or boring replaces guesswork with a scanned, marked and reported picture of what already lies under the route.

Our crews use two methods together:

  • Ground penetrating radar picks up echoes bounced back by pipes, cables, ducts, chambers and voids – metallic or not.
  • Electromagnetic (EM) locating follows conductive lines such as live power cables and metal pipes, and helps confirm what the radar picked up.

Findings are painted or pegged on the surface in utility colours and written into a signed report. If you are planning a cable, pipe or duct job, our pre-excavation utility scanning page sets out how a scan is fitted in ahead of the dig.

Which buried services turn up under Daman's streets and industrial roads?

A town that serves residents, visitors and manufacturing at once ends up with many owners sharing the same road edge. On a typical Daman alignment we expect to record:

  • HT and LT distribution cables, street-lighting circuits and earthing conductors;
  • water mains and house connections, including plastic pipe that EM cannot trace;
  • sewer lines, storm-water drains and road culverts;
  • telecom cables and OFC ducts from more than one operator;
  • process pipes, feeder cables and drains on the approach roads to industrial units.

For power-cable-led jobs, the underground cable detection page explains how each cable is separated from its neighbours. Projects running across the boundary into Gujarat can be combined with work on our Vapi GPR survey page in one order.

How do the coast and the Damanganga affect radar results?

Daman sits where the Damanganga river meets the sea, and both shape the ground. Salt-bearing soil and a high water content absorb radar energy, so depth reach near the shore and along the river banks is usually less than on dry, sandy stretches further inland. Filled ground under older roads behaves differently again.

For that reason we do not quote one depth for the town. The ground penetrating radar survey we deliver to clients in Daman records, section by section, how deep the radar actually saw and where the signal faded. Our article on soil conditions and GPR limits explains the physics in plain terms.

River and creek crossings are scanned on both approaches and along the planned bore line where access allows. Where a deep service at a crossing must be proved before design, trial pits or boreholes can be opened on request.

Who distributes power in Daman, and how do we fit in?

Since 2022, electricity distribution in the UT has been run by Torrent Power. Many cable jobs in Daman are therefore placed by that licensee or by contractors working for it, and the survey has to locate both its own network and every other service along the way.

We work only for the client who places the order. Mezux Touch is not affiliated with Torrent Power, the UT administration, any municipal council or any development authority, and we hold no approval or empanelment from them. Permissions to work on a road or in a restricted area are obtained by the project owner.

What does GPR survey work in Daman cost on our rate card?

Nearly every Daman route falls under one of two metre rates: ₹24 for the standard survey, or ₹32 when the client's specification calls for an L-section, with its depth profile for every Daman service along the line. With the UT outside Delhi NCR, a Daman order meets two floors at once: billing never drops below 4 km, and the smallest Daman project bill is ₹1,00,000. GST is added to every figure.

Sample Daman jobTypeBefore GST
2 km plot and approach roadStandard₹1,00,000 (4 km = ₹96,000, raised to the project floor)
5 km river-side cable routeL-section₹1,60,000
12 km town distribution networkStandard₹2,88,000
150 km UT-wide programmeStandard, 25% slab₹27,00,000

When one Daman order tops 100 km, every metre in it is charged a quarter less; above 500 km Daman clients get 40% off, and a Daman programme beyond 1,000 km pays half. Mobilisation, night working, road permits or traffic control, and any drawings in CAD/GIS each get a separate line on your quote, apart from the metre rate. Every slab is listed on the GPR survey price list.

How are crews and radar systems sent to Daman?

Nothing is hired locally. Every Daman job is served from our Faridabad yard, using the company's 58 GPR systems and in-house operators; we do not sub-let survey work. Over 23 years those crews have logged 1.5 lakh+ km of GPR survey in 28+ States and UTs.

Because the trip is long, the programme and mobilisation are planned with the client before dates are fixed. Grouping several Daman sites, or adding stretches across the state line, spreads the travel cost over more kilometres. Night working on busy roads can be arranged where the client's permissions allow it and is charged separately.

Where can you read more about surveys in state and UT capitals?

Our GPR survey in state capitals hub lists every capital we cover, so programmes spanning several of them can be priced together. For a longer, Daman-specific explainer – survey types, terms in a scope, and how records should be kept after the dig – read the underground utility survey guide for Daman.

FAQ

Questions about GPR survey in Daman

Do you survey sites inside industrial units near Daman?

Yes, with the occupier's permission and under their safety rules. Inside a plant we scan along planned trench or bore lines, or on a grid over a new foundation area, to locate feeder cables, process pipes and drains. Areas we cannot enter or scan safely are listed in the report rather than guessed.

Can radar find plastic water pipes in Daman?

Often, yes, because radar responds to any material that differs from the surrounding soil, not only metal. Small plastic pipes in wet or salty ground are harder to see, and EM locators cannot trace them at all. Where a plastic line is critical, the report flags confidence and a trial pit can confirm it.

Is the L-section rate charged for the whole route?

It is charged on the length where an L-section is ordered. A job can mix both: ₹24 per metre for stretches needing only positions and marking, and ₹32 per metre where the work order calls for a depth profile. Tell us which stretches need which and the quote splits them.

Will you work with Torrent Power's contractors?

We work for any client who places an order, including contractors executing cable work for the licensee. That does not make us part of Torrent Power's network or approved list; we are independent. The survey findings and report are issued to whoever ordered the job.

What if part of the route is flooded or blocked?

Standing water and parked vehicles both stop a radar cart. We scan what is open, list the blocked stretches in the report with the reason, and return to them when access clears if the client wants. A repeat visit is planned with you and any extra mobilisation is quoted upfront.

Can a cable fault be traced in the same visit?

Cable fault locating is a separate task from route survey, with its own method and price. If a faulty cable lies on or near your survey route, tell us when asking for a quote; both jobs can often be scheduled on one trip, though each is billed on its own terms.
