Quick answer

Looking for a GPR survey company in Agartala? In Tripura's capital, Mezux Touch finds what is buried ahead of digging (telecom ducts, drains, power cables, water mains), using salaried crews and radar the company owns, sent out from Faridabad. Agartala pricing: ₹24 each metre on the standard survey, ₹32 each metre on the L-section. Agartala orders are billed on no fewer than 4 km, each Tripura project on no less than ₹1,00,000, and GST rides on top.

Rates and page checked:

Ground penetrating radar cart being pushed along a paved road edge
A cart-mounted radar scans the strip where an Agartala cable or duct will run.
Map with pins marking several survey locations across a region
Agartala stretches can share one mobilisation with other north-east routes.
Coloured paint lines on asphalt showing buried cable and pipe positions
Each service is painted in its utility colour before the excavation team arrives.
Diagram of a planned bore passing under a road with existing services
Road and drain crossings get a closer scan because services bunch together there.

What does a GPR survey company in Agartala do on your route?

Our job is to tell your excavation or drilling team what is already in the ground before they open it. As a GPR survey company in Agartala working from a Faridabad base, Mezux Touch runs radar lines along the planned alignment, traces conductive lines with an electromagnetic (EM) locator, paints each detected service on the surface and records it in a signed report.

On a typical city road the scan looks for:

  • HT and LT power cables, service cables and street-light feeds;
  • water mains and house connections, including plastic pipe;
  • drains, culverts and chambers;
  • telecom cables and OFC ducts laid by different operators;
  • any unexplained object or void that sits in the way of the new work.

Radar shows where something lies and roughly how deep; EM follows metal lines by their own field, which helps when wet ground weakens the radar echo. More on cable work is on our underground cable detection page.

Where does survey work usually arise in Agartala?

Most requests in a capital of this size come from four kinds of work:

  1. Smart City streets. Agartala Smart City projects have added drains, upgraded roads and new ducts. Fresh services now run beside, over or across older ones, so a contractor joining such a street needs to know both.
  2. Power distribution. Tripura State Electricity Corporation Ltd (TSECL) supplies power in the city, and contractors laying or shifting cables for distribution works need clear corridors.
  3. Telecom and fibre. Operators extending OFC along city roads face the same crowded verges; our OFC route GPR survey service is set up for that work.
  4. Building plots and campuses. Offices, schools, hospitals and housing on land that once held other uses often hide old connections.

Growth since broad-gauge rail reached the city in 2016 has added roads and plots on the edges of the older town, and each of those meets existing services somewhere. Civic roads and drains fall under Agartala Municipal Corporation. Mezux Touch is not affiliated with TSECL, the municipal corporation or any Smart City body; we work for whichever firm orders the survey.

How does ground near the Haora river affect radar?

The Haora river runs through Agartala, and parts of the city sit on low ground where soil stays damp for long periods. Moisture matters because water, and clay that holds it, soaks up radar energy. Dry, sandy ground lets the signal travel further. Two stretches of the same road can therefore give very different results.

We do not quote a single depth figure for the city. Instead, the report states how deep the radar actually saw on each section and marks where it could not see clearly. For metal cables, the EM locator often confirms a line that radar shows only faintly. When one deep service decides a design – say, a large main under a planned crossing – we can open a trial pit or sink a borehole at that spot on request.

A ground penetrating radar survey in Agartala is therefore most useful when it is honest about its limits. Our article on soil conditions and GPR limits explains the physics in plain terms.

Which survey options can an Agartala order include?

One order can mix several pieces of work, each shown on its own line of the quote:

  • Standard route survey at ₹24 per metre – positions and approximate depths of existing services along the alignment, with surface marking and a signed report.
  • L-section survey at ₹32 per metre – the same scan with a depth profile of the detected services, for stretches where the design or work order asks for one.
  • Grid scan of a site – for a campus, plot or yard, laid out to cover the area rather than a single line.
  • Close scan of crossings – road, drain and rail crossings planned for HDD, with the bore path and both pit positions covered.
  • Trial pits or boreholes – opened on request where one depth or identity must be proved before design is fixed.
  • Cable fault locating – finding the damaged point on an existing cable, which is a separate task from route survey.

Drawing sets in CAD or GIS format can be added to any of these and are priced on their own.

What should be ready before the crew reaches Agartala?

A remote mobilisation goes most smoothly when nothing is left to settle on arrival. Before dates are fixed, check that you have:

  1. the final route file, with landmarks or coordinates the crew can find on the ground;
  2. road-working permission and any traffic arrangement agreed with the authority concerned, since these are the project owner's responsibility;
  3. whatever drawings TSECL, the municipal corporation or telecom operators have shared, even if they are incomplete;
  4. a site contact who can open gates, move parked vehicles or arrange access to private land;
  5. a clear note of stretches that must be scanned at night, because night-shift working is charged separately.

With these in hand, the crew can spend its time scanning instead of waiting, and the programme agreed in advance holds.

How do crews and systems reach Tripura?

Every Agartala job is served from our Faridabad yard. The company owns 58 GPR systems and 18 HDD rigs, run by its own crews, and none of the work is sub-let. Across 28+ States and UTs those crews have covered 1.5 lakh+ km of GPR survey, so long mobilisations are routine for us.

Because Agartala is a remote capital far from that base, the programme and mobilisation are planned with the client before anyone travels. We do not promise a travel time; we agree dates once the route, access and permissions are clear. It helps to:

  • send every Agartala stretch in one enquiry, so a single trip covers them;
  • add routes elsewhere in the north-east, such as Guwahati or Shillong, where the timing allows;
  • start road and traffic permissions early, because they often set the start date.

Agartala is one of the capitals listed on our state capitals GPR survey hub, and a planning guide for the city is in underground utility survey in Agartala.

What does a GPR survey in Agartala cost?

The rate card is the same as for every city outside Delhi NCR. Standard route survey is ₹24 per metre; with an L-section, which adds a depth profile of the detected services, it is ₹32 per metre. Any order is billed for at least 4 km, and an Agartala project is never invoiced below ₹1,00,000. GST is added on top.

Agartala exampleSurveyBefore GST
2 km campus and access roadStandard₹1,00,000 (billed as 4 km, ₹96,000, then raised to the project minimum)
6 km cable corridorStandard₹1,44,000
6 km cable corridorL-section₹1,92,000
150 km multi-city fibre programmeStandard, 25% slab₹27,00,000

For Agartala, as elsewhere, crossing a slab discounts the entire order, every metre of it: an Agartala total above 100 km earns 25% off, one above 500 km earns 40%, and beyond 1,000 km the metre rate halves. Those figures leave out mobilisation to Tripura, night-shift working, permits or traffic control, and any CAD/GIS deliverable, which appear on lines of their own. For the full set of slabs, see our GPR survey price list .

FAQ

Questions about GPR survey in Agartala

Can you scan streets already opened for Smart City works?

Yes. Recently backfilled trenches show up as disturbed ground on radar, so we note them in the report and scan with closer line spacing on such streets. New services laid during the works are recorded alongside the older ones, which is exactly what a contractor joining that street needs to know.

We have one short crossing in Agartala – what will it cost?

A single crossing is far below the 4 km minimum, so it is billed as 4 km at ₹24 per metre, which is ₹96,000, and then raised to the ₹1,00,000 project minimum. Adding other stretches to the same order makes better use of that amount. Mobilisation and GST are added separately.

Can your crew work beside the railway line?

Yes, once the project owner has permission from the railway for us to be on that land. We scan the permitted strip and any planned crossing, including the bore path if HDD is intended. The railway sets the working windows, so the programme is built around them.

Do you carry out surveys during the rainy months?

Yes, on stretches that are not under water. Wet soil lowers how deep radar can see, so the report records the reach achieved on each section. Flooded patches are listed as not scanned and can be covered on a later visit. For a critical deep crossing, a drier spell gives clearer results.

Can Mezux also drill the HDD crossing after the survey?

Yes. We own 18 HDD rigs and run them with our own crews. Drilling is quoted separately from the GPR survey, against the ground and the alignment. Having the same company scan the bore path and drill it keeps the survey findings and the bore plan in step; details are on our HDD service pages.

Are you linked with TSECL or Agartala Municipal Corporation?

No. Mezux Touch has no affiliation, approval or empanelment with TSECL, Agartala Municipal Corporation or any Smart City agency. We are hired by contractors, consultants and owners, report our findings to them, and the client requests any records or permissions from those bodies.
