Quick answer

Searching for a GPR survey company in Itanagar? Mezux Touch agrees the programme with you first, then sends its own crew and radar from Faridabad to locate power cables, water lines, drains and fibre ducts along the capital's hill roads. Standard survey costs ₹24 per metre and L-section ₹32, with 4 km and ₹1,00,000 minimums plus GST.

Rates and page checked:

Ground penetrating radar cart being pushed along a road surface
On a narrow Itanagar verge the cart follows the planned line as closely as the slope allows.
Operator holding an electromagnetic locator above a buried cable line
EM tracing confirms live cables that radar alone might confuse with a change in fill.
Cross-section of soil layers showing radar signal fading with depth
Wet hillside soil after rain shortens radar reach, so depth is reported stretch by stretch.
Checklist sheet with route, access and permission items ticked off
Access, permissions and weather windows are settled before the crew leaves Faridabad.

What does a GPR survey company in Itanagar check before you dig?

Before a trench is opened or a duct is bored beside an Itanagar road, somebody has to say what already lies in that ground. That is the question a GPR survey company in Itanagar is engaged to answer. Our crew pushes a radar cart along the planned line and across it at intervals, while an EM locator follows any metal cable or pipe that carries a current or can be given a signal.

The search normally covers:

  • HT and LT power cables and street-light feeds;
  • water supply mains and house connections, plastic pipe included;
  • roadside drains, culverts and cross-drainage pipes beneath the carriageway;
  • telecom cables and the OFC ducts of different operators;
  • disused lines that have dropped off every record.

Each find is painted or pegged on the surface and entered in a signed report with its position and approximate depth. For wider background on the capital's buried networks, see our guide to underground utility survey in Itanagar.

Why does hill terrain change a ground penetrating radar survey in Itanagar?

Most roads in the capital are cut into slopes, so the ground under one carriageway can pass from rock cut on the hill side to placed fill on the valley side within a few metres. That shapes a ground penetrating radar survey in Itanagar in four ways:

  • Mixed ground across the width. Cut material and fill give different radar signatures, so extra cross-lines are run to separate a real pipe from a simple change of material.
  • Crowded verges. With rock rising on the hill side and the slope falling away on the valley side, services end up squeezed into the only strip that could be dug, often stacked close together.
  • Landslide-prone cuttings. Some cuttings slip during heavy rain. We note which stretches showed loose edges or fallen debris on the survey day, so the excavation team can plan support or a reroute.
  • Hairpins and steep gradients. On tight bends the cart cannot always hold the exact line; where coverage thins out, the report says so plainly.

How deep radar sees depends on the soil and the water held in it – saturated ground after rain shortens reach, drier ground extends it. So no single depth is promised for the city; the depth actually achieved is written against each section.

Which projects in the capital usually need utility detection services?

Utility detection services in Itanagar are most often ordered for these kinds of work:

  1. Smart City works. Itanagar Smart City projects bring new roads, drains and service corridors into streets that already carry older lines, so each fresh trench meets existing ones.
  2. Power distribution jobs. Cable laying or network upgrades by contractors working for the Department of Power, Arunachal Pradesh, where the route has to steer clear of water mains and telecom ducts. Our HT/LT cable route survey page explains that scope.
  3. Fibre rollouts. Operators extending OFC along hill roads or boring beneath them; the method is set out on the OFC route survey page.
  4. Government and institutional campuses. Office complexes, hospitals and colleges adding buildings, tanks or connections, scanned on a grid instead of a single line.

We hold no affiliation with Itanagar Smart City, the municipal body, any development authority or the Department of Power. We work for whichever contractor, consultant or owner places the order, and the permission to dig stays with that client.

How are mobilisation and the programme planned for a hill capital?

Our crews and all 58 GPR systems are based at Faridabad. Itanagar is a remote hill capital for a team starting from there, so the programme and the mobilisation are worked out with the client before anything is dispatched. Instead of quoting a travel time, the proposal sets out:

  • the stretches to be scanned and the order in which they will be taken;
  • the systems and crew size the total length needs;
  • working windows, especially on roads where traffic can be held only briefly;
  • stretches that depend on weather, since heavy rain makes cuttings less safe and soil wetter;
  • the mobilisation charge, shown apart from the survey rate.

If you also have routes in Guwahati or elsewhere in the North East, add them to the same order so a single mobilisation serves all of it. Itanagar also features on our GPR survey page for state capitals.

What does a GPR survey in Itanagar cost?

One published rate applies to every metre. A standard route survey is ₹24 per metre, or ₹24,000 a kilometre. The L-section survey, which adds a depth profile of the detected services along the route, is ₹32 per metre. Itanagar lies outside Delhi NCR, so two floors apply: 4 km for any order and ₹1,00,000 for any project. GST is charged on top.

Itanagar exampleSurvey typeAmount before GST
2.5 km hill-road stretchStandard₹1,00,000 (billed as 4 km = ₹96,000, then raised to the project floor)
7 km cable routeStandard₹1,68,000
7 km cable routeL-section₹2,24,000
600 km North East programmeStandard, 40% slab₹86,40,000

Discounts are calculated on the full order, never only on the extra length: 25% off every metre once it crosses 100 km, 40% past 500 km and 50% past 1,000 km. Mobilisation, night work, traffic arrangements or permissions, and CAD/GIS drawing sets are itemised as separate charges. All slabs appear on our GPR survey rate card.

Which survey scope suits an Itanagar job?

  • Standard route survey – positions and approximate depths of existing services along the line, ground marks and a signed report.
  • L-section survey – the same scan with a depth profile, for designs that must show clearances; see L-section GPR survey.
  • Crossing scan before HDD – the bore path and both pit areas under a road or drain; see HDD route survey.
  • Site grid – a plot or campus covered in closely spaced lines before foundations or new connections.
  • Fault locating, trial pits and boreholes – separate tasks on request, each quoted on its own.
STEP 1

Share the alignment

Send a KML file or route drawing with total length, crossings and any stretches beside cuttings known to slip.

STEP 2

Agree the programme

We fix dates, crew size and weather-dependent stretches with you, so the hill-capital trip is planned once and properly.

STEP 3

Mobilise from Faridabad

Crew and owned radar travel to Itanagar after permissions and access are confirmed; mobilisation is billed as its own item.

STEP 4

Scan road and verge

Radar lines and EM tracing cover the carriageway, the verge and every crossing, with extra passes where fill meets rock.

STEP 5

Hand over marks, report

Services are marked on the ground and listed in a signed report giving depth reached and every unscanned stretch.

One rate on every slope

A steep hairpin and a flat campus road cost the same ₹24 a metre for standard survey; only the programmed days change.

Depth profile only if needed

Order the ₹32 L-section only for stretches where the design must prove clearances, and keep the rest on the standard rate.

Share the trip across the region

Grouping Itanagar with Guwahati or other North East routes means one mobilisation from Faridabad is spread over far more kilometres.

Slab discounts on the whole order

Cross 100 km and every metre is 25% cheaper; beyond 500 km it is 40%, and beyond 1,000 km half price.

Owned systems, no rental

FAQ

Questions about GPR survey in Itanagar

Is Mezux connected with the Department of Power in Arunachal Pradesh?

No. Mezux Touch holds no affiliation, approval or empanelment with Arunachal's Department of Power, with Itanagar Smart City, or with any municipal or development body. Contractors and consultants working on their projects can order a survey from us like any other client, and our findings are reported only to the party that placed the order.

What happens if a landslip blocks a stretch on survey day?

The crew does not work on ground that is unsafe. The blocked stretch is recorded as not scanned, the rest of the route continues, and we agree with you whether to return to it later in the same visit or in a separate one. Any extra visit adds mobilisation, so it helps to flag known trouble spots early.

Can a short Itanagar job be combined with another town?

Yes. Each project outside Delhi NCR is billed at least 4 km and ₹1,00,000, so a 1 km job alone pays that floor. Adding routes in Guwahati, Shillong or other North East towns to one order spreads both the floor and the mobilisation over more kilometres, and the combined length counts towards the discount slabs.

Do you need existing utility drawings before starting?

No, radar and EM locating respond to what is in the ground, not to records. Even so, any drawings held by the line owners or the project office help us plan where to scan hardest and let us compare old records with what we actually find. Gaps between the two are written into the report.

How is an office complex or campus scanned?

Instead of following one line, the crew lays out a grid of radar passes across the open ground, tightening the spacing near buildings, tanks and entry points where services gather. Lines found are traced with EM where possible, marked on the surface and drawn on a site sketch in the report. Billing follows the scan-line length under the usual minimums.

Is the depth profile part of the standard ₹24 rate?

No. The ₹24 per metre survey tells you where each service lies and roughly how deep it is at the points measured. A continuous depth line for those services, drawn along the whole route, is the L-section survey at ₹32 per metre. Both are captured in the same visit, so you can order the L-section for selected stretches only.
