Quick AnswerBook a land surveyor in Faridabad and the plot is measured on site and set beside the registry, the HSVP site plan or the aks shajra. The result is a drawing with side lengths, corner coordinates and the area. As a private firm, not the tehsil, we give you figures to carry into the official demarcation, not a substitute for it. Our main page sets out what land survey services cost.

Why hire a private land surveyor in Faridabad?

To learn what you hold before money changes hands, a wall rises or a quarrel begins. The land is measured as built and compared with your land records, and each gap appears on one drawing. Owners ring a private land surveyor in Faridabad for one of these:

  • Checking a plot before paying the full price
  • Fixing corners before a boundary wall goes up
  • Splitting family land into equal or agreed shares
  • Giving a bank or valuer a measured plan
  • Settling a dispute over property boundaries with a neighbour on facts, not memory

Which papers should you keep ready?

Whatever describes the land: the registered deed, the revenue record for farmland, and the allotment papers for a sector or colony plot. We measure what is on the ground and compare it against each one.

Table note: a land survey shows the surface only, and buried cables or pipes need ground penetrating radar; see GPR survey in Faridabad at a glance.

How do Haryana land units fit together?

Rural land in Faridabad is described in killas, kanals and marlas: one standard killa is about an acre, which is 8 kanal or 160 marla. Take a marla as 272.25 sq ft and the rest follows: 5,445 sq ft to the kanal, 43,560 sq ft to the acre. Consolidation cut each village into big rectangles called mustatils, 25 killas apiece, and buyers of Faridabad farmland still rely on those killa lines today.

One rectangle (mustatil) = 25 killas Blue cell: 1 killa ≈ 1 acre = 8 kanal Standard size about 40 × 36 karam (1 karam = 5.5 ft) Red: your plot crosses killa lines, so each part is measured from the killa corners
Illustration: a 25-killa mustatil. Parcels sold by killa number often straddle two killas, which is why we fix their corners off the grid, not off bunds that may have shifted.

A standard killa measures about 40 × 36 karam, roughly 220 × 198 ft. Some killas at the edge of a rectangle are cut short by a road, canal or village boundary. Field bunds drift over decades of ploughing, so a parcel that looks right by eye can be several feet off its killa lines. To switch between kanal, marla, gaj and square metres before you speak to a seller, use the Mezux land area converter.

Four Faridabad cases we see often

Most jobs in the district are one of four kinds, and each starts from a different paper.

  1. Farmland in Ballabgarh tehsil villages. The sale names a killa number, yet the bunds have wandered from the map. Surviving corner points let us redraw the grid and place the parcel on it.
  2. An HSVP sector plot. The owner suspects the wall sits a few inches off the allotted line, so a boundary survey takes the allotment plan and the sector road as its reference.
  3. A factory plot in IMT or Sector 58–59. Before an extension, the plant wants setbacks and frontage confirmed. Where the new work means excavation, utility mapping of buried lines comes first; read what we do: utility line survey in Faridabad.
  4. An old village house in the abadi. Abadi land seldom had a detailed map, so the drawing records walls, gullies and adjoining buildings exactly as found.

How does a measurement day run?

Five stages; a plot below five acres is normally finished in a single visit.

  1. Paper check: we read your documents and decide which reference points matter.
  2. Find references: surviving killa stones, road junctions, existing pillars or sector road edges.
  3. Measure: satellite control on open ground and detail by instrument. Fields with a clear sky get a DGPS survey in Faridabad for your site. Walled plots under trees or buildings are covered in how long a total station survey in Faridabad takes.
  4. Mark: temporary pegs at the corners you ask for.
  5. Report: ground sides next to deed sides, the area and the coordinates, normally sent three working days later.

Plot measurement rates in Faridabad

Area sets the price of plot measurement, while record-based work waits until we have read your documents, and GST is extra.

  • Plot up to 1 acre: from ₹8,000
  • Each extra acre: ₹2,000
  • Boundary fixing from khasra and killa records: quoted after reading your papers, since the work depends on how many reference points survive

A 3-acre field measured against its deed therefore comes to ₹12,000. Your written quote states what you finally pay. To get one, price your Faridabad job with the location and the papers you have.

What can a private survey not do?

The record stays as it is, and the tehsil's own demarcation is still needed. Only revenue staff can carry out the measurement that settles a boundary in the government record. In Haryana the request goes to the tehsil, and the field measurement is done by the patwari and kanungo, normally with the adjoining owners told in advance. The tehsil decides fees, forms and how long you wait, and these shift now and then, so ask there before you file. What our drawing does is give you accurate facts before you apply, so that you know what to ask for and can check the result. If you are shortlisting firms, How to Choose a Land Surveyor lists what to ask each one.

Frequently asked questions

Can ground levels for a building be added?

Yes, as separately quoted work; levels and contour lines are covered on how long a topographic survey in Faridabad takes.

My land has no wall or pillar at all. Can you still find it?

In most cases, yes, if enough killa stones or fixed points survive nearby. From those we redraw the grid and mark your parcel's place in it.

Will the area be shown in kanal and marla?

Yes, kanal–marla sits alongside acres, square feet and square metres, so the figure can be read against the registry and the jamabandi alike.

Do you need my neighbour’s permission?

We measure from your land and public points, and adjoining land is entered only if its owner agrees.

Is Gurugram covered too?

Yes, by the same crews; read booking a land surveyor in Gurugram.

Can you put permanent pillars?

Our crew leaves pegs at the corners, and your own mason builds the masonry pillar on each peg, and we can come back to check it.
