Quick answer

Looking for a GPR survey company in Panaji? Mezux Touch dispatches in-house crews with owned radar from Faridabad to detect electricity cables, water and sewer pipes and telecom ducts beneath the capital's streets before you dig. Route survey is ₹24 a metre, ₹32 with L-section; billing floors are 4 km and ₹1,00,000, with GST extra.

Rates and page checked:

Operator pushing a wheeled radar unit over a tarred street
A single cart pass along a Panaji verge records every buried crossing beneath it.
Sketch of a new fibre duct squeezed between older buried cables
New fibre ducts in the capital must find a gap among cables already in place.
Field engineer sweeping a handheld cable locator above the carriageway
EM tracing confirms which radar echoes are live electricity cables.
CAD drawing of detected underground services along a street
Drawings of Panaji findings can be ordered as a separately priced deliverable.

What does a GPR survey company in Panaji detect?

Radar works by firing brief pulses downward and timing the echoes that return off objects which contrast with the surrounding soil. A GPR survey company in Panaji uses that, together with electromagnetic (EM) locating for conductive lines, to show where existing services lie along your route before excavation or drilling starts.

On a typical capital-city street the scan picks up:

  • electricity cables, both HT and LT, and street-light circuits;
  • water mains and house connections, including plastic pipe;
  • sewers, storm-water drains and culverts;
  • telecom cables and fibre ducts;
  • buried chambers, abandoned lines and voids.

Every find gets a colour-coded mark on the surface and an entry, with estimated depth, in our signed report. Cable-specific detail sits on our underground cable detection page.

Why does Panaji need careful pre-dig survey?

As Goa's capital, Panaji packs government offices, markets, hotels and homes into a compact city on the bank of the Mandovi. Three conditions shape buried-service work here:

  • Riverside ground. Roads close to the Mandovi can sit on wetter ground, and where water is brackish or saline, radar loses depth faster. Surveys along such stretches need closer reading and honest depth reporting.
  • Smart City works. Road, drainage and utility upgrades lay new lines on top of, and beside, years of older ones. Our Smart City underground mapping page covers this kind of corridor.
  • Many owners. Supply cables belong to the Goa Electricity Department, civic streets and drains fall under the Corporation of the City of Panaji, and telecom operators hold their own ducts. Their records seldom sit on a single drawing.

We are not affiliated with the Goa Electricity Department, the Corporation of the City of Panaji or any Smart City body; the client who orders the survey is the only party we act for.

How deep can a ground penetrating radar survey in Panaji see?

Reach is set by the ground more than the machine. Signals carry well through dry sand and die quickly in damp clay or salty soil. In a city by a river estuary, both kinds can occur within a short distance, and the monsoon soaks everything for months.

So a ground penetrating radar survey in Panaji should never promise a single depth for the whole route. Instead, the findings document gives achieved reach for each section, highlights weak-signal lengths and names every gap in coverage. If a single depth has to be beyond doubt, a pit or borehole at that spot can be added on request.

What do GPR scanning services in Panaji cost?

The charge is per metre of route. Standard survey: ₹24 a metre, or ₹24,000 for each km. L-section, which also plots how deep the located services run: ₹32 per metre. The minimum billing length is 4 km, and as Panaji lies beyond Delhi NCR, ₹1,00,000 is the smallest project invoice. GST is added to all amounts.

RouteTypeBefore GST
2.5 km riverside cable stretchStandard₹1,00,000 (charged as 4 km, ₹96,000, then raised to the floor)
6 km duct routeStandard₹1,44,000
6 km duct routeL-section₹1,92,000
110 km statewide programmeStandard, 25% slab₹19,80,000

Big programmes earn a discount on all metres once the total crosses a slab – 25% past 100 km, 40% past 500 km, 50% past 1,000 km. None of mobilisation, night-shift working, traffic or permit arrangements and CAD/GIS drawing sets sits inside the metre rate; each is quoted separately. Every slab and floor appears on our GPR survey price list.

Which utility detection services in Panaji can you order?

  • Route survey for a planned cable, pipeline or duct, with marking and a report.
  • L-section survey when the contract asks for a depth profile; see L-section GPR survey.
  • HDD bore-path survey ahead of trenchless crossings under roads and drains; see HDD route survey.
  • Site scan on a plot, hotel campus or institutional compound before foundations or new connections.
  • Cable fault locating, a separate job from route survey.
  • Trial pits or boreholes on request to prove critical depths.
  • CAD/GIS drawings of the findings, priced separately.

Utility detection services in Panaji are usually ordered by electrical and telecom contractors, consultants preparing designs, and building owners about to dig within their own premises.

How do our crews and systems reach Panaji?

Our fleet of 58 GPR systems and 18 HDD rigs is owned outright and operated by staff crews; nothing is hired in and no job is passed to a sub-contractor. Over 23 years these crews have logged 1.5 lakh+ km of radar survey in 28+ States/UTs, working under ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 systems.

Crews and systems mobilise from Faridabad. Goa's capital is a long way from that base, so we plan the programme and mobilisation together with you before any date is locked, and mobilisation appears as a distinct quote item. Grouping every Panaji stretch, and any other Goa routes, into one order makes that journey count. Other capitals we cover are listed on our state capitals page, and the Panaji utility survey guide explains planning in more depth.

What should you send before booking a Panaji survey?

  1. Alignment file (KML or drawing) and the length in km.
  2. What you plan to lay or build: cable, pipe, duct, bore or foundation.
  3. Whether your contract calls for an L-section, CAD/GIS deliverables or both.
  4. Stretches along the riverfront, busy market roads or Smart City sites already under work.
  5. Any utility records you have from the service owners, even partial ones.

With this we return a quote covering the metre charge, minimums and every separate item, along with a proposed programme.

TIP 1

Flag riverfront stretches

Mark lengths close to the Mandovi on your route file so wetter or saline ground can be planned for in advance.

TIP 2

Mind the monsoon

Goa's heavy rains reduce radar reach and wash marks away, so time deep crossings for a drier period if possible.

TIP 3

Ask every owner

Write early to the electricity, civic and telecom owners for records; patchy plans still guide where we scan hardest.

TIP 4

Bundle Goa routes

Put all Panaji and nearby Goa stretches into one order so a single trip from Faridabad covers the full scope.

TIP 5

Scan the bore path

Where a crossing will be bored, put both launch and reception pits plus the drill line into scope at enquiry stage.

Simple metre pricing

Every metre of Panaji route costs ₹24 on a standard scan, so a 6 km duct line is ₹1,44,000 before GST.

L-section in the same trip

When depths along the line are needed, the ₹32 L-section is done alongside the route scan, avoiding a repeat mobilisation.

One order for Goa

Adding other Goa routes to the Panaji job shares the travel cost and helps short lengths clear the project minimum.

Big orders, lower rates

A total over 100 km brings a quarter off the full order; over 500 km, 40% off; over 1,000 km, half off.

Owned systems only

No rented radar and no sub-contractor in between, so the rate you pay goes straight into the survey itself.

Extras shown separately

Travel, night working, traffic control and drawing sets are itemised individually, keeping the metre figure clean.

FAQ

Questions about GPR survey in Panaji

Can you scan roads along the Mandovi riverfront?

Yes, wherever the road or verge is accessible and the project owner has the needed permission. Ground near the river can be wetter, which may limit radar depth on some lengths. We scan with closer line spacing there and state in the report how deep the radar reached on each section.

Do you work on Goa Electricity Department cable projects?

Contractors and consultants executing such work can engage us like anyone else. Mezux Touch has no approval, empanelment or affiliation with the Goa Electricity Department, and findings are shared only with the client who commissioned the survey.

Who arranges road-cutting permission in Panaji?

The project owner or main contractor obtains permission from the authority responsible for the road. We plan the survey around the working hours and conditions it sets. Any traffic management or permission work is priced on its own, outside the metre charge.

Can you survey inside a hotel or office compound?

Yes. Within a compound the crew runs a criss-cross pattern of scan lines to pick up service entries, water feeds, drains and redundant lines before foundations, extensions or new connections go in. Charges are calculated from the total length of those lines at the usual metre rate and minimums.

Why is a 2 km job in Panaji billed at ₹1,00,000?

Two floors apply. Any order under 4 km is charged as 4 km, which at ₹24 a metre is ₹96,000. Projects outside Delhi NCR also carry a ₹1,00,000 floor, so the bill rises to that. Larger routes are simply charged at the metre rate. GST and separate items come on top.

Do your rates include CAD drawings of the findings?

No. Your metre charge buys the scanning, the marks on the ground and a signed findings report. If you want CAD or GIS output, we prepare it from the same data and price it as its own line in the quote.
