Since approvals are where projects stall, ask how the contractor handles Right-of-Way. A dedicated in-house liaison team that knows the relevant authorities is worth more than any promise about drilling speed.

Look for genuine quality and safety systems — ISO 9001 quality management and occupational safety processes — not just a logo. These show a contractor that documents its work and can pass an audit.

5. A track record on hard projects

Anyone can claim capability. Ask for specific, verifiable projects — ideally complex or long-pending ones the contractor completed on schedule and within budget. The willingness to point to real corridors delivered is a strong signal.

6. Single-point accountability

Finally, prefer a contractor who owns the whole scope — survey to commissioning — so there is one party to hold responsible. Fragmented delivery means the client becomes the integrator, chasing multiple vendors.
