This corridor is unusually lopsided. The Jammu end brings boulder-bearing foothill deposits and security and defence clearances with timelines nobody controls. Beyond it lies some of the most productive drilling ground on any Indian route.

The Shivalik sections are assessed for boulder density before rates are fixed. Where the deposit is unknown we quote a range and name which end applies to which ground rather than relying on a variation clause later.

Constrained sections scoped on their own terms

Gradient, access and boulder risk make the northern sections a different job from the plains. They are surveyed, planned and priced separately rather than averaged into a corridor rate.

Long efficient runs across the north

Through Punjab, Haryana and western UP the ground is uniform enough that one rig class covers long stretches, which shortens mobilisation and lowers the contingency a quotation carries.

Irrigation crossings through the plains

The Punjab and UP canal network brings numerous crossings, each through a state irrigation department on a water-availability timeline. The inventory is compiled early and the files opened well ahead.
